When I am at Immanuel as a volunteer. I see such positive interactions. I see active and engaging lessons, welcoming staff, and exceptional learning. First and foremost, the love and grace of Jesus is lived and shared!

Unfortunately, the school offers no support for children with differing levels of ability nor learning comprehension. My child was ostracized mercilessly during the duration of their time at Immanuel. The school would flagrantly disregard and minimize concerns expressed repeatedly. My speculation is that Immanuel did not want to jeopardize the high-dollar tuition that would be at stake if the parents in question were confronted.

There is no tutoring, no additional support nor encouragement for any children enduring a challenge with learning. In fact I would go so far as to state that parents are shamed if a child is not comprehending the curriculum efficiently enough. I would imagine again here, that the potentiality of tuition being jeopardized as a result of low end test scores, to be at the heart of this particular quandary with the school. In short, anyone differently-abled or requiring a bit more time will certainly not excel at this school.

Elementary aged children are loaded down with inordinate amounts of homework, which we saw absolutely no benefit to.

We have thankfully placed our child at a new school this year. I felt compelled to write this review after just a few weeks at the new school. The contrast is striking. The burden that had settled heavily on my shoulders after years of having them at Immanuel, has been lifted and I feel immensely grateful that my child is now a former alumni.

The genuine irony is that they attest to be a Christian School. The air of superiority and pretension that I endured while my child was in attendance was a source of anxiety and immense grief.

I only regret that we did not remove my child from the school far sooner.

My daughter started Kindergarten with Immanuel last year and the school is amazing. The teachers and support staff are incredible people who are willing to help all the children learn and develop in a loving environment. They provide special attention to all children and communicate very well with the parents. The drop off and pick up process are quick and easy. Tuition is expensive but well worth knowing my daughter is in a safe and constructive Christian oriented environment.

My son has spent 2 years at Immanuel Lutheran and they have been wonderful. We exited to public school system during COVID lockdowns and I was able to get my son enrolled within several weeks in the middle of the school year. Some people might equate a faith based private education with rigidity but this hasnt been the case. The students and teachers seem to be genuinely enjoying each other and I dont see any of the problems or vulgar behavior present in TSD middle school my older child attended. I dont raise my children in a particularly secular manner but my son has gravitated towards faith since he was young child and Immanuel supports him in his walk with God. My son participates in rodeo and often misses a day or half a day to travel to a competition out of state or participate in a clinic. Theres no hassle, repeat phone calls, or harassment about him missing time. I was often hounded by TSD when my older child was off competing in events. There are field trips and service days where the kids participate in service projects as well so I believe the students dont get as weary of being educated as they might in other environments and I appreciate the character building education the students are receiving by these alternate activities. We will miss Immanuel when he ages out of the middle school.

The first time my wife, myself and our 4 children stepped foot inside this school 2 years ago we felt an overwhelming presence of peace, grace and belonging. There is something amazing going on here. The teachers really do give their absolute best attention to every student and leave no one behind. The staff and everyone who works or attends here are what make this school so special. When you have a group of people with a common purpose and understanding of helping all of these precious students not only succeed in life but thrive and have upward mobility and preparedness for the real world, something truly inspiring happens. We are so very grateful to have our children come to this school and feel very blessed to be a part of this strong community.

Our family came to Immanuel looking for an environment where not only were the academic standards are high, but also where Christ is at the center of learning and development. Both of my children, as well as my husband and I, are so grateful for this incredible community. My children have both grown and flourished in every sense here. Kindness, compassion, accountability, and focus on faith are just a few of the top priorities of all staff members, who lovingly model this every day, with every person. I cannot think of a better environment to have my children in for their learning and Immanuel is a place of consistency no matter what may be happening in our world.

All the teachers love their students. They teach their students respect. When students go on field trips, people comment on how well behaved the ILS students are.

There is a school wide program in place to maintain a positive school environment to teach compassion. There is a program where individual Middle School students are Buddies with individual preschool and Kindergarten students. The teachers teach their students respect for one another. There are no locks on the lockers in the entire school.

We rate this school excellent. I can't say enough about the teachers and how they care for and love each student. My son is in high school and he and his fellow friends who are ILS graduates are one year ahead of their HS peers in Spanish, Math, Science and Computer Classes. His HS English teacher said he is one of her top writers. He will be taking college physics and computer programming classes as a junior and a college math class next year.

Love the teachers! My three children have been blessed in both academic and spiritual growth. Lots of after school programs, on site daycare, Spanish k-8 and great volunteer involvement. My family could not be happier with our school.

I have a daughter that is in Immanuel's preschool. I love her two teachers and I love the program and I love that it is Christ centered. My daughter is learning her alphabet and numbers and is also learning social skills through play and learning centers. She absolutely loves school and the few times she has been sick, she has cried because she could not go to school. I couldn't ask more from a preschool!

This school does a great job overall K-4, but not so much 5th -8th. The entire middle school only has about 40 kids, which is great for those who need individualized attention, or for kids who wouldn't do well in a large public school setting. In the 3 years we've been there, the middle school has shrunk dramatically, and quite a few long-time families have left. The principal is not responsive to concerns, and staffing changes haven't help the situation. Sad to see this happen!

We love Immanuel! My daughter loves the school, teachers, and class mates! I never thought we would put her in a private school, but after she had a horrible experience at the public school we decided to try Immanuel. We first toured the school and got to meet with the teacher and other staff. We Love the fact that she learns good, wholesome values everyday and receives a great education! The teachers make sure that all the kids get the extra help or extra challenge that they each need! I love the variety of families that are a part of this school. They also offer many enrichment programs. My daughter started learning spanish in kindergarten.The principal is involved in almost every part of the school and makes a positive impact on the families there. Yes, we have to make some sacrifices to afford this, but the money we pay is worth every penny to have my kiddo in this amazing environment!!

I do not think this school is a good as the other reviews state. The diversity is not there. Most of the kids are one dimensional, and need protection from the public school environment. If you can afford this school, it's for you If you want you child to get a real education. Go public

My youngest is graduating from the 8th grade this year. My 2 kids have attended since they were each 3 years old. It will be hard to not enter the doors everyday anymore. The kids are so well prepared for HS, my oldest is taking mostly AP and pre- AP classes. The teachers do a fabulous job of challenging the kids and making them work hard. Because of the small school size, my kids have been able to play sports, be in band, plays, and many other activities that they may not have gotten into in the public school. They are well grounded in their faith and ready to tackle the challenges High school will bring

Couldn't be happier! We were a little bit unsure about whether it was okay to not be Lutheran, but soon found out that most students aren't. The small class sizes, on site daycare and fantastic academics are what we really love. The teachers truly care about each student and want them to succeed! We researched so many schools, and we love ILS!

We're really happy with Immanuel. My son is playing basketball and running track, and we have been really impressed by the program. It's cool that the basketball team made it to the National Tournament in Valparaiso, Indiana this year! The neat thing is that everyone plays, too. We don't have big teams, so everyone steps up and learns to play together. He hadn't played organized team sports begore, and the coaches and other players really encourage him. Some coaches are better than others, but overall we've been really happy! I like it that there are cheerleaders now,too, because we need a little more school spirit! GO CRUSADERS!

Before placing my children in school, I researched and visited nearly every charter, private, and Christian school in northern Colorado. Immanuel was by far the best school in the area. They have a top-notch academic record, experienced, caring teachers, a good sports program, and most importantly, their main focus is God and living in relationship with Him. We have been at Immanuel for several years now, and the growth I have seen in my children is just amazing. We could not be happier.

I never thought I would pay for private education in the elementary school years, but after a horrible experience enrolling my twins into public school ( not able to get the same schedule or full day kindergarten) we choose to look at christian schools. We intended to stay just for kindergarted, but betweent he teachers and day care experience we are still there 3 yrs later and one of my twins scored in the 98% for the standard testing - I think that says it all! I will keep my kids there as long as I can. teachers and staff are compassionate and the other families care about the schoool too!

I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience at Immanuel! Our daughter loves school so much she wishes she could attend all summer long. The school is not only academically strong but also teaches other equally important values. Students learn respect for others and to appreciate who God created them to be and they develop a wonderful sense of self-esteem as they discover the gifts God gave to them personally. It is so important to us that the same values we teach at home are taught at school and that this is consistent for our children. It is so evident that the teachers care deeply about the students and go above and beyond to meet the needs of each one. We are blessed to call Immanuel our school.

Wow, this is more than a school, this is a family. I have three kids (1st, 5th, 7th grade) and they have all attended Immanuel since preschool. The teachers are at Immanuel because they love to teach kids and it shows. My oldest daughter is excelling in math and is able to take 8th grade algebra in 7th grade, and the plan is for her to take high school geometry next year when she is in 8th grade at Immanuel. You MUST visit the school, it is amazing! Once you visit, you will want your kids to be there.

We joined Immanuel last year and could not be more satisfied. Our children are excelling, the teachers are fantastic and I find the parents to be involved and caring. With the new and technologically advanced building, our children are now being prepared to enter the world equipped with the tools not just to succeed, but to excel.

I wouldn't dream of sending my kids anywhere else! We originally chose Immanuel for their outstanding academics. The high school principals rave about Immanuel kids! We are not Lutheran, but the basic Christian values that are taught and exhibited daily are an incredible bonus! The teachers are firm but so loving, and the students are so respectful. From pre-school through middle school, my kids are involved in drama, sports, art classes and they LOVE it!

This is a great school! The most impressive thing is the students. They're polite, respectful, responsible and obviously care for each other and the school. We don't even need locks on our lockers. Academics are fantastic, the teachers are amazing, but what makes the real difference is the family atmosphere. Students and parents say hi to each other in the halls, hold doors, say thank you, and are really friendly to new families and students. We wouldn't send our kids any where else.

We have been at ILS for 3 years now and we love it. The staff is great with all the kids and the enviornment is peacefull, loving and serving! There is no better place for our kids to grow and learn in their faith and friendships. If you want your children to excel in EVERY area of their life, than I encourage you to come and check us out! We love this school! Academically we couldn't ask for anything more: ILS is in the top 3% of the nation. Socially, it's superb. When I'm on a field trip or at an athletic game with the kids, I'm proud to be with them, they behave so well. The extra-curriculars are impressive too, my kids personally are active year round with Lego Robotics, basketball, science and art classes. The best part is spiritually, having my children in an environment all day long where the Holy Spirit is present and Jesus is at the forefront of everything taught. I don't understand why anyone would go elsewhere.

We initially chose Immanuel because of it's Christ centered curriculum. However, not only do our children get to hear the the promise and hope of our Savior on a daily basis, but they have also received a top notch education They are being prepared for life on earth and are being given the hope of a future in Christ. The teachers excel both at loving the children and providing a challenging classroom atmosphere.

We came to ILS in 2009. We reviewed 2 schools in the area with our son and he chose ILS-he liked the principal! We were welcomed by a previously new family-great support from the teacher and parents of our son's class. Excellence all around! Very pleased.
