I cannot say enough great things about this school. The teachers are BEYOND incredible at understanding gifted, creative kids - and understanding and supporting all the quirkiness and differences in learning that come along with that.

One thing that doesn't get mentioned enough is the process they go through to match your child with exactly the right teacher that will help them thrive. They take input from the parents, the child's current teachers (and all "matrix" teachers - like art, theater, etc), and then go through an extensive process with all of these elements in play, taking time to make sure that the class the child is placed in will be the one they will thrive in. I've never seen anything like it. The admin are wonderful and thoughtful and have created a place where you don't even worry from year to year about whether you are going to have the right teacher - because you definitely are!

In addition, I can't tell you how many other parents I have talked with that are as grateful as I am that their kid is at Logan. To watch each child learn to believe in themselves, to feel fully accepted for exactly who they are, and to grow in their academics each year - and independent thinking - is truly awesome.

It also can't be discounted how amazing it is to have a school of kids who are ALL bright, quirky, creative kids. Our daughter used to come home frustrated because no one wanted to play the extensive imagination games she wanted to play at lunch - often telling her that she was "weird " - and now she comes home telling us about how a bunch of her friends were working together to create some cool world at lunch, with character development and storylines and such. She feels understood and accepted in a way that any parent would hope for.

If you have a gifted kid, you need to check Logan out. For us, it was absolutely life-changing. Our child now shines her brightest because of this wonderful place. As my husband says, "It's the best money we could possibly have spent." And I agree.

This is a terrible school where they dont teach anything and the administrations is mean and clearly has their favorites. There are no English, social studies or science classes except for twice a week electives. They are horrible to students who dont fit their exact ideal. This is a miserable school who pretends to support students but really are run by arrogant and mean leaders.

We moved to CO 4 years ago and struggled to build community. My two kids just finished their second year at The Logan School, and I could not be more grateful to have moved them to this beautiful school. My children have not only found their people, but my partner and I have found our genuine friends, as well. Theres such a tremendous focus on meeting kids where they are and supporting them in their growth and development. One of my kids has needed to arrive late once a week every week for Occupational Therapy, and everyone - the teachers, the learning specialist, the school psychologist, the admin, etc.- has always been understanding and encouraging in ensuring my kiddo gets the support he needs. At our first visit years ago, one of the admin folks, Shae S., said that the kids dont need to wait to get home to be themselves, and Ive loved seeing this in action. Everyone is encouraged to be their true selves, adults and kids alike.

The Logan School for Creative Learning is well worth a look (and a bit of a commute, if necessary)! Our two started there when they were in 2nd and 5th grades and we feel so lucky to have landed there! They are very different kiddos and both completely thrived at the Logan School.

The school philosophy worked well for ADHD peculiarities, accommodates dysgraphia and was spectacular for anxiety disorder. (As with most small private schools, there is not a large district-wide staff of specialists, so speech therapy, OT, etc. is not offered and we hired our own professionals.) The small class sizes, individualized curricula and dedicated staff is perfect for many highly gifted kiddos. In fact, the Logan School's approach FAR outweighed any "missing" services and supported our kiddos' learning styles so well, that they have grown into assertive and confident learners who are now able to easily self-scaffold in order to address their own 2e challenges.

They are in high school and college now (and were well prepared), and are curious, confident and kind thanks to their time at Logan.

Our family found a perfect fit within the welcoming and engaging Logan community and we highly recommend it!

Logan has been amazing for our family. Its not just a school; its a community where kids thrive and families feel welcome. The hands-on, project-based learning is perfect for curious, creative kids. My favorite part is the units. Kids get to pick topics theyre genuinely interested inwhether its wormholes, cats, or the history of WWII aviation and dive deep. They get to explore, experiment, and create something meaningful. The expos, where they present their work, are such a great motivator and a confidence booster.

The community is just as special. Parents are encouraged to be part of the experience, whether its helping with a unit, sharing their expertise, or just showing up for events. Everyone feels included, and the whole vibe is so welcoming. Logan also does a great job of teaching kids independence and responsibility while still making sure they feel supported.

If youre looking for a school thats creative, inclusive, and all about hands-on learning, Logan is it. Its been such a great fit for both of my kids, and I cant recommend it enough.

This is our 7th year at the school. We moved one child after attending another elementary school and not being happy and the younger kiddo started in kindergarten. We have two very different children with different learning styles, interests, and social-emotional needs and both love it there. The school has individualized curricula that allow the kids to study what they are most interested in, at the same time weaving all the things they should be learning at their grade level without them even noticing it (to a degree, of course!). They are doing a great job keeping the kids engaged and always learning at the edge of their potential (not getting bored) - I am always amazed at how much my children know. I highly recommend this school if you have a gifted learning that's bored in their current environment!

We have joined the Logan after attending a Montessori school and finding out that even with that more individualized approach, our kids were bored, disengaged and not being met with their emotional needs. After the first month at Logan, I can now already see the positive change in my kids - they are happy to go to school, excited about what they are learning and absolutely love their teachers. Most of all, their curiosity and emotional needs are being met wonderfully.
If you have a gifted child and are just considering the option, don't hesitate. We are so happy we made the move!

An exceptional school! Logan fosters an infectious enthusiasm for learning and discovery, inspired encouragement for expression, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, exemplary support for furthering sensitive and thoughtful dealings with others, all along cultivating a sense of personal responsibility in the students. Logan offers a challenging and individualized approach to education with dynamic field trips and hands-on learning. The teachers and staff are highly qualified, dedicated and caring. They effectively uphold the school s values: empowering children; opening doors; fostering responsibility and independence; fostering care and concern for others. The teachers work with each child according to personality, learning style, interests and strengths and weaknesses. Our daughter has been challenged and supported in just the right balance according to her nature, interests and developmental capacity. The teachers have helped her build on her natural gifts while thoughtfully guiding her to take responsibility for some of her weaker areas. The community of families is dynamic and welcoming. The Logan environment is stimulating and sustaining. We are grateful to be here.

Logan provides a phenomenal education for gifted, self-directed learners. The environment is one of independence, safety, responsibility and respect. Children learn how to take charge and be accountable for their work and their behavior. Expectations are rigorous. Perhaps the most significant takeaways for us after seven years at the school are the critical thinking skills our child has learned, the confidence our child has in her abilities, the self-evaluation skills she has gained, and the resilience she has attained, learning that even when she does not succeed, she can persist, improve, and soar higher next time. Also great opportunities for the performing arts in upper grades, decent language instruction, and increasing physical education opportunities. The student environment is challenging and supportive of each other, with very little bullying (that is never tolerated when it occurs).

There are a lot of great things about the school but also some really troubling things like lack of basic math facts education and lack of basic Englsih grammar and vocabulary learning. No tests sounds great but teachers and students aren't held accountable and kids have a hard time transiitoning to other schools. I found that the same hands on experiental trips can be gained at free charter schools and the cost for the same trip is about half of what The Logan School charges.
