This wazwaz academy seems like its en route to even more failure, unfortunately. The school has a monthly budget deficit of at least $80,000, which has sadly opened the way for very aggressive fundraising at the expense of good quality education and teaching calibers, favoritism at the expense of fairness, and corr-u-ption at the expense of Islamic-aligned practices.

I enrolled my children at this school, hoping for a strong foundation in faith and values. While some staff members are sincere and committed to serving the community, the way the school is led is deeply concerning to me. It often feels selective in which values it emphasizes while overlooking others.

At times, children felt more like numbers than individuals, with phrases like seats are sold out, which to me, runs counter to the schools stated mission. It felt more like a business, and I concluded it was not even worth it.

Hygiene and safety standards were also troubling. Basic supplies such as soap were not always available, and I personally saw concerning conditions in the infant room and preschool.

Many parents, myself included, tried to overlook poor communication and lack of organization in order to support an Islamic school and raise children in a community that shares our values. Sadly, I think the school falls short of reflecting the Islamic manners and values it claims to uphold. I am grateful to have withdrawn my children from this environment until meaningful change occurs, if it ever does.

Overall, my family has had such a terrible experience at CVA, which appears to use religious texts to justify anything they say (even if wrong). Imagine a so-called educator telling you "your kiddo is not as smart as their brother, you must have done something wrong with the little one" or educators who would get very defensive & annoyed in the face of any critiques, what does that teach sudents? That goes to say there are some there that I think should never be involved in educating or even being around children. The way some teachers instill in kids that no one is going to heaven but "us" I have found very problematic, let alone others--teachers, staff and administrators--who rather than doing their job, they go all preachy. But perhaps the biggest problem of all is the dead silence you would often get when trying to raise a problem to the higher ups to find a solution. Our kids deserve a better school and leadership, that's why this is the last year for my child there.

If you value your childs emotional well-being, in my view, this is not the school to send them to. After spending four years at CVA, I finally have all three of my kids out of there, alhamdolelah, and its been the best decision ever, and I can see the difference. Hence, I can safely say that having someone teach my kids Quran and Arabic online (or in the Masjid) covers any advantages this school may have had over other non-Islamic schools, in my opinion. But the disadvantages of sending my kids to CVA were, unfortunately, endless, from my perspective, raising concerns over transparency, accountability, and care for childrens mental health (e.g., the school would suspend 7-year-old kids multiple times without having them sit with a counselor because there are simply none). And, in my experience as an educator, I found the leadership approach at CVA to be the weakest I have encountered in a school setting.

Because we only has 1 islamic school, I guess we get what we get? The staff is not supporting students need or concerns. The front desk lady talks to students and adults with such hate and disrespect . We were there for locker check-in in and she completely ignored us while chatting with a friend about the summer. If she treats the parents this way, I can't imagine how she is with the students. Let alone the way she dressed as an Adult in a muslim school was extremely disappointing. Inshallah, the school holds the staff to the same dress code standards as the students. So far it is a rough start to the school year and a lack of communication between staff and students and families. Inshallah it improves.

This School has some cons that I don't like for example they claim their school is trying to go beyond and best but some teachers can't teach correctly and some are difficult to understand. The principal is the worst his behavior towards students is aggressive and rude. There was an incident where the principal said a racial slur not once but twice discussing how students have been using the same. if your students have been using these types of inappropriate slurs then you should come address us in a calm and understanding way. Reminder the principal is not from where the type of slur is meant for and even if he was it isn't appropriate in front of learning kids there was also on occasion where the principal has cussed in front of students and towards there was even an occasion where the principal said a racist comment towards a student for not doing well in a class. Many of the staff can also be aggressive and mainly result to yelling at students in an extremely unfordable tone. Yelling is fine, the only issue is its to the point of screaming the staff also tend to hurt many students' feelings and arnt even qualified to teach with there such little information. In my personal experience, I don't feel safe to address many issues with teachers for example bullying or just things I don't appreciate towards me or others around me. The students are rude and many of them have terrible behavior which leads back to the teachers. Like I said the teachers resort the over excessive yelling which makes students feel uncomfortable or hurt and it doesn't solve the main problem to why the student is like this. There was an incident I heard the the school doesn't allow students with disabilities and not just physical but mental and will resort to kicking out students who have these disabilities. Overall I don't feel safe in this environment and I don't like same. Same could go for many other students. During my time here I only met one staff member who I actually feel safe with and can talk to but theres also a limit and I can't discuss my main problems. Family engagement is something they definitely do but its most of the time related to money and nothing else. I feel like this school is responsible for a lot of emotional damage and should get better staff and deal with students in a correct and proper way.

To me, the school is definitely below average. There are some pros, but many cons. One of the cons is that they are always desperate for parents money, almost everything in this school cost money and is very expensive, and the worst part is they barely use that money to make actual good changes to the school. Another con is bullying, this is mostly from the high school students, and they rarely even get into trouble. Not only are some students bullies but they are also very violent, the sad part is staff are never paying attention to students behavior (besides in class of course). I am also noticing that they are teaching Islamic rules that are either false, or over exaggerated, and I hate that. They also force middle school students to wear hijab all the time, even for breaks. And the con that I hate the most is how much work they give us, EVEN TO KIDS WHO NEED SPECIAL EDUCATION, as a student myself who is high functioning, I can barely finish my homework on time and every day after school I come home with anxiety and depression. This school clearly does not care about mental health. And the only pros are just that some teachers are nice and help you learn a lot, and only some kids act like proper muslims and are nice. So I definitely would not recommend this school.

The school is okay. There re some good teachers that try their best to discipline their students fairly. But my father has been complaining about the amount of homework that I get because this huge amount of homework is stressful and can create depression in students. Bullying is a big problem at this school but sometimes it can get fixed. I have seen the detention list and it includes cleaning the whole cafeteria. It literally has more than 10 steps on it and one of them says something about cleaning the edges and corners of the walls of the cafeteria and the stairs for all 3 floors of the school. Also, you have to pay a lot for your student and for extracurricular activities. The school has not found the good part of social media like Discord, Facebook, etc. But there are also some nice teachers who don't give so much homework and actually help their students, and the principal tries his best to help the school.

We have been at this school for close to 5 years now. Both kids have been successful in their curriculum and have demonstrated an increasing level of confidence both in their personality and their approach to school work/academics. The school is very well managed with an experienced staff that's dedicated, passionate with a caring attitude. I've seen administrators spend hours every weekend up keeping the school and expanding it to the newly created high school, a true community feel for parents, children and staff.

The IT platforms/Software in use are improving but remain desperate between Gradelink, Google classroom, iReady, Wonders, sheet handouts...etc. There needs to be a clear and uniform way to track assignments between all classes and teachers. Homework load is balanced, clubs and after school activities have a good diversity between Tae Kwon Do, Soccer, Baking, Art...etc

Excellent school overall, hope to see them grow and renovate the elementary/middle school facilities more.

Coming to CVA's high school was the best decision I made. My parents gave me the choice to decide where I want to go and I am very happy with my decision. Not only am I challenged, but I have developed solid relationships with really cool friends. Yes, people complain about the homework load but the truth is that we are really challenged and the teachers care about making sure we succeed. The school's administration are friendly and always willing to help and support. I really appreciate the guidance we get to prepare for college and the SAT and AP courses. I feel safe, protected and cared for at Crescent View Academy.

CVA has come a long way since its inception. Through the inception of the school in 1993, the focus was on a good environment for the children of the community and academics garnering less attention. The school was only through 8th grade and high school was just a dream. However for almost a decade now, with a stable excellent principal, administration, teachers and staff; academics are on par with top performing schools in the state. Former students are graduating at the top of their high school classes and are garnering scholarships and pre-acceptance to top schools in the state like Colorado School of Mines as well as nationwide. Attendance is at an all time high, and the class of 2022 will be the first CVA High School graduated from the newly purchased High School building on campus. We thank Allah for His blessing and favors and ask that he allow the excellence in this institution to continue for the sake of our children and our future.

in many cases if your parents speak arabic and you dont, you are forced to take a higher arabic class. if you are good at arabic and your parents are not native speakers you are to take a low level arabic class.

By far, the BEST school my children have attended. Excellent curriculum, wonderful teachers and staff members, and a really close knit community within the school. We could not have asked for anything better in CO for my children. I would not have changed anything about this school should I have been asked to.

As a private school with limited resource every year the school is improving.
Moved my son to a different pre-school because of my office schedule.

I am a new student at CVA in the middle school. Transferring to CVA is one of the best decisions I made with my family. The teachers are very supportive. The students are very welcoming. The Islamic atmosphere is spiritually rewarding. I have to much to learn about my religion and culture and I feel blessed.

I became a parent at Crescent View Academy back in 2007, 8 years later, I have three children here, and I consider myself a lucky father, because my kids are in the best place they can ever be. The teachers are good with communication, all my kids progress is reported continuously, and finally the principal updated us of our kids test result in the Terra Nova. Besides the academics are excellent, this school is very safe. Great manner teachings and the Sunnah is really taught here. Very clean school, very nurturing, and cant ask for a school better than this.

Like all private schools, it has seen its share of growing pains. We currently have 250 students (180 families) who find comfort and joy in bringing their children to CVA. If you are a interested parent, we strongly recommend that you come to the school, meet the administration, meet the teachers and learn more about what we do. This is a horrible school. Since it is the only Islamic school in Colorado, they take advantage of it and do not care about parents concerns and opinion. With the current principle and unqualified teachers the school is going to fall. Do not waist your money and your child's time. I cant wait for the other Islamic school to be open.

Very low academically, my child didn't learn anything in first or second grade. Administration is the worst administration, there is no one you can talk to about your child. You kinda feel lost as a parent or student.

I hope this school gets five stars because it deserves it. This school reminds me of back home. I can communicate with students and staff in my native language, Arabic, and can connect with them culturally and positively. Although I am only a substitute, I hope I can work there full-time, and make a positive impact on the students and Muslim Community. Every Time I step into that building, I feel welcome. It's a beautiful school, and I hope one day I can enroll my daughter in it- she's already loving the caring, nurturing, safe, and peaceful nursery :)

This school is HORRIBLE! Do not listen to the people who are giving this hellhole 5 stars! Because of this school I was suicidal for 3 years, plus I just found out I am 2 YEARS behind my grade level we are all going to fail in public school! We have to pray during OUR reccess time! Do your children an amazing favor and teach them Quran and Islamic studies at the mosque/home

Crescent View is constantly improving and has under gone tremendous change in the last few years. My children moved to Crescent View from a very competitive out of state public school. Had to make some adjustments but overall the quality of instruction is at par or better than the previous school. I am especially satisfied with the elementary grades. I have approached the administration few time over the past few years and all my concerns were handled courteously and professionally.

Excellent school! My children love it. The principal and staff are very nice, always looking out for the best interest of the children. I don't believe the negative comments written by some people here. I think they are probably from disgruntled employees or something because my children are in 5th and 6th grade and I don't see any truth to their comments. I have seen my children come home with great morals and thriving to be successful.

Bad bad school and I am going to Colorado Department of Education about the inconsistencies here. Bad bad principal and board of educators. They don't care. No one on the board are educators. My child cannot express herself in English. None of the teachers are going back. I am tired of my child having new teachers every year. It is not worth it.

The list of problems seems endless. There is no consistency in how admin handles behavior issues and the religious studies teachers are way too lenient with the students. Thus there is an abnormally high amount of behavior issues and teachers have a hard time getting things done due to these inconsistencies. And the BOARD...there is no one to hold them accountable for their actions and decisions...the school is falling apart and teachers make much much less than other public school teachers. The school is severely understaffed, staff unsupported, and there is no extra help. They talk but do much of NOTHING and none of them are educators of younger children so they do not know how to relate to teachers or students. They have their own agenda that they want passed and they have no regard for anyone else. They never go to teacher classrooms yet rely on the hearsay of their own children.
