We homeschooled our kids for a number of years before finding out about Rock Solid. We lacked community and I was overwhelmed by teaching the big concepts well, especially as they grew older.

This is our fourth year at Rock Solid, and we’re continually grateful for the solid education and Christ centered discipleship heart of the staff. The school partners with us as parents in our kids education and growth. We’ve found a wonderful community of genuine families who support one another. The hybrid model gives us extra time as a family as we reinforce the concepts on our at home school days (without the stress of having to teach). I’m so grateful for this school and their partnership with our family!

We love Rock Solid! After our 11 year old son was struggling with public school because there was, in his words, "constant drama" with kids discussing politics and gender issues, we did a shadow day at RSCA. He loved it, and said the kids were so kind! So we signed him and our 6 year old daughter up.

This year, after our oldest son did a shadow day and was immediately excited to switch from his large middle school, to Rock Solid for his 9th grade year.

All 3 kids love RSCA, and my wife and I appreciate the small classrooms, home-schooling 2x/week, and the Christian values/learning each of our kids gets.

We feel so blessed for them to have such an amazing school (I'm jealous, and wish I had this kind of education, growing up)!

If a hybrid homeschooling education could benefit your child, I highly recommend getting a tour, and having your child do a shadow day!

Rock Solid has been a rare find for our family. If you're looking for private Christian education that doesn't follow the classical model (which we tried but didn't vibe with), this school is a fantastic alternative.

They manage to maintain strong academic standards while still being flexible and attentive to each student's individual needs — and they do it without any sense of elitism or rigidity. We have three kids at Rock Solid, including one with high-functioning autism, and they all feel at home there. The community — from teachers and aides to parents — is full of genuine care, support, and encouragement. It's the kind of place where you feel seen and valued.

On top of all that, it's probably the most affordable private school you can find, especially if you qualify for the scholarships they offer. And they do an incredible job with fundraising, which helps ensure their teachers are supported as well.

We're so thankful to be part of this school and would 100% recommend giving Rock Solid a try.

RSCA has been a lifeboat for our family. We, like many families, have a desire to make some aspects of homeschooling part of our family culture, but full-time homeschooling, for many reasons, is not possible. Rock Solid has given us the time at home and the structure and relationships of school. The atmosphere provides nurturing along with challenge. The lower cost and financial aid have made it possible for us to attend. We are so thankful for this school!

Our experience with this school has been only positive! The teachers are very qualified and offer individualized teaching for our kids. My daughter struggles with math, and due to Rock Solid’s small class sizes, her teacher is able to sit with her one-on-one every day to help her and track her progress. It is evident the staff love and follow Jesus and are genuinely interested in discipling the students. Our kids are learning so much and thriving at RSCA. It’s a great model, and Principal Curtis oversees a well-run school.

We love our school! The University model has been great for our family, a nice balance of in person school and homeschool days. The teachers are so kind, helpful and available. They are very organized and provide exactly what we need for our homeschool days. The homeschool days for the young grades only takes a couple hours (on average) to complete, so it leaves my kids plenty of time to play and continue to learn in ways they are most interested. In our experience all of the families and other kids have been so nice.

We love attending Rock Solid! It's been a blessing and the right fit for our son from academics to environment, to the inclusive community. The staff work hard at being involved and communicating clearly, and do that very well. They care so much about each student, and it shows. We also love the hybrid University Model, it works perfectly for us. We are starting our youngest son in the fall as well!

Rock Solid is the perfect hybrid between homeschooling and a traditional private school. We moved our daughter here in 6th grade after homeschooling. The teachers are passionate about pointing students to Christ. I love that our daughter is able to pursue sports with a more flexible schedule and doesn't have to be up for hours doing homework after practice. I also love that we get to spend more time as a family. It really is the best of both worlds!

Attend the HighSchool. The academic rigor is very good. NO Chromebook Learning! Our child has learned to be more self reliant, responsible and hard working in academics and has become much more self-motivated. The teachers work very well with students and always provide the extra time. The school also welcomes parents. They genuinely care about the students. The school also welcomes parents. The University Model is great. We like that the K-5 is very separate from 6-12 and hope more division continues between upper and lower grades. Christian focus is a perfect balance, learning history and personal growth through a Christian perspective and kind staff. We like the Service Learning Projects and Foundations of Identity too. The few concern are: wishing there were more students and electives and more creative work, not sure about the new administration and teachers for next year and sometimes the planning of events and communication and electives could be better. Despite the concerns, we are overall happy and plan to return.

School is very disappointing! Hearing from my child, most of the students don't act like Christians at all. When I was at the school volunteering last year, I heard the principal in the breezeway telling some of the students who's parents donated a lot of money and how much. I thought that was very unprofessional!! Also, the students who's parents gave a lot of money for fundraising, could get away with anything. The administration would turn a blind eye to smoking, drugs and everything else you can think of if the parent gave lots of $$$$$$ or on the board. It's sad because I believe the school was great many years ago but today has lost all integrity for the sake of $$$$. When my child was in public school, they had more christian acting friends than at this school. Will note be returning to RS.
Some of the teachers are great and some are terrible.

Rock Solid Christian Academy would be a great school. The majority of teachers are great. Some teachers are not Christians with traditional values. Your children will be interviewed so that leadership is convinced of their relationship with Jesus Christ. Teachers and students are either admittedly Christian or attend church and state that they are. The school does not hold to this principal in reality, though. The expectation that families are Christian is normal and I ascribe to this line of thinking. It should be a problem for families who have the expectation that the teaching will be Christ centered. In my opinion there is an effort at this school to undermine it's Christian principals and regardless of what some might say, this is important.

We have loved our children’s elementary and middle school experiences at RSCA. Our children have grown leaps and bounds, both academically and personally. The hybrid University Model has been ideal for our family!

Posted: February 22, 2020

The University Model offers the best approach to ‘homework’. There isn’t the typical amount of homework after a long day of school. Rather, students have at-home work days where they can practice the material or work on longer projects.

Posted: February 22, 2020

The teachers are highly qualified and truly care about the students.

Posted: February 22, 2020

The emphasis upon discipleship means that character development goes beyond an educational buzz word.

Posted: February 22, 2020

The leadership team works hard to ensure the safety and well-being of the students. They also care about the whole student and their spiritual development.

Posted: February 22, 2020

Teachers and staff work hard to accommodate learning differences.

Posted: February 22, 2020

The small school size means that faculty and staff get to know the students well and are able to deal with discipline quickly.

Posted: February 22, 2020

Our experience has been nothing but positive. The teachers are dedicated to the success of the students and pour their hearts and souls into our kids.

5 out of 5
We have been so pleased with our decision to send our child to RSCA. Our student loves his classes, teachers, friends, and staff. They are a blessing to us.

Posted: December 2, 2019

The teachers provide homework that is relevant to the success of the student.

Posted: December 2, 2019

It is evident that the teachers not only care about providing book knowledge but that the child’s heart is equally as important.

Posted: December 2, 2019

The school emphasizes team work and servanthood. There are Bible verses and words of encouragement posted around the school to remind students how much God loves them

Posted: December 2, 2019

The office staff is kind, courteous, genuinely interested in each student, and they love the Lord.

As the assistant principal, I'd like to respond to some negative comments posted on GS lately. Yes, our students are much like students everywhere: they have the same anxieties, challenges, & problems every young person faces today. Just like ALL schools, we've dealt with students who've struggled, received discipline, & have been counseled. Sadly, there are times when some students are not a good fit & are asked to leave. We wish we could insulate all our kids from the pull of the world & would love to say we're perfect. That would be unrealistic. But we DO have wonderful kids at RS and we strive every day to provide a Christ-like environment where *qualified teachers work tirelessly to offer an outstanding education centered on Christ & the Bible. As we approach our 23rd year, we hope to reach many more families in the Denver area. If you're looking for a place where students are encouraged, prayed for, educated, discipled in Christ, AND greatly loved, we welcome you! (*Of our 13 teachers, 9 are licensed, 4 have M.A's, & 2 are working toward M.A.'s.)

Rock Solid is an awful school. The teachers aren't certified and the curriculum is bad. Our child has done so much better at public school and is better prepared for college. The school likes to think their students are better than public school kids, but they are doing the same things. We've heard from our kid that the high school students curse, vape, and sleep around. One of the students even had a makeout party at their home when their parents were gone. Just not good for a Christian school.

Rock Solid was a great school with great students. Both my kids have attended school. One graduated from Rock Solid, but after the principal left and they got a new principal the school started to go down hill. We saw bullying from teachers and other students. The principal doesn't want to discipline the students instead she just wants to be their friend. My student was constantly teased about being stupid in class if he didn't know the answer or when he did they bullying student would clap their hand and say oh look he finally got one right. Students also cuss, use the middle finger to teachers in class when the teachers back is turned, Use of cell phones is a constant thing in classes, student text back and forth, snap chatting, no consequence - if there was the students would learn and stop doing it. Student also vape in the bathroom and parking lot outside.

Posted: July 16, 2018

Teachers don't know how to teach out of the box. Many students are visual or group learners not just read a text book and answer the questions. Teachers might have Masters degree, but it is wise to have a Teachers License where you can learn out of the box teaching.

School was good a few years ago but it has went downhill, and if the principal can't discipline the students, the students will continue to take over the school and the bullying will keep going.

On the school website it shows what curriculum the student will be using for 9th grade -the English curriculum is wrong - it shows Implication of Literature this is not correct hasn't been now for 2 years. The curriculum the school uses for English 9 is | Institute for Excellence in Writing- by Andrew Pudewa, if your student isn't a good writer or likes traditional writing - before you sign up for this class make sure you do your research on the IEW writing curriculum. The curriculum is older and not very current editions.

Posted: July 16, 2018

We had a teacher would snap her fingers and tell my student to pay attention or come over to the book and grab his hand and use his hand to show him how to follow in the book, this teacher was rude and very negative to my student. My student isn't perfect and had some learning issues but if the teacher got to know my student and would have tried to connect to my student, they would have put their best foot forward.

Posted: May 30, 2018

Excellent!. Our boys have grown academically, socially and most of all in character at RSCA!

Posted: May 30, 2018

Rock Solid teachers know how to properly challenge students with homework without assigning busy work. The teachers and staff honor time at home for family and other life growing activities - work, music, sports, etc.

Posted: May 30, 2018

Teachers at RSCA don't just teach academics. Teachers at RSCA get into the hearts of their students and it is from a position of respect and honor that the teacher student relationship is established. Students tend to thrive in this environment.

Posted: May 30, 2018

RSCA uses academics as the vehicle to train up young men and women in the ways of the Lord which by its very nature grows up integrity, compassion and respect.

Posted: May 30, 2018

The principal along with her staff know each and every young person and know how to train them up effectively. Genuine care and love are displayed every day!

Posted: May 30, 2018

The small class room size facilitates the use of multiple teaching techniques and tools in the classroom - this captures a broad base of student learning differences.

Posted: May 30, 2018

A smaller school with intimate relational connections between teachers, staff and students allows issues such as bullying to be handled in a relatively quick and personal manner.

Posted: May 25, 2018

Assignments are on Quickschools and accessible from home. The teacher is often available to answer questions over Quickschools. Homework is not extra work at home. It is a integral part of the University School Model with a few days of school actually done at home.

Posted: May 25, 2018

Posted: May 25, 2018

I am encouraged by the direction the leadership is taking the school. I believe it will strengthen the school and it's future for serving students.

Posted: May 25, 2018

The staff and teachers are supportive and I see them learning more how to support students. The University Model involves the parent in the process especially in the lower grades, so parents are a part of the educational team, not outsiders. There are not "services" as with an IEP, but they are accommodating. With two to three days at home, parents have a little more flexibility to incorporate private services during the week.

Posted: May 25, 2018

We never experienced any to know how it would be dealt with.

Posted: May 25, 2018

Rock Solid is a horrible school! The teachers are not qualified and the students' education is not up to par with other schools. Problems are not handled effectively and the principal sides with the staff instead of listening to the real issues. After a year there, we decided to pull our child out, since she was being bullied by her teacher. Current students are also having trouble there. The problems keep happening and nothing gets fixed. If you aren't a board member's kid or friend of a board member's kid, they have no sympathy for you. Stay away from this place!

We drive 50 minutes to school 3 days a week and it has been well worth the drive to send our students to RSCA.

Rock Solid HS was my introduction to teaching at a high school and I could not be more thankful for that opportunity. The students are, in a word, amazing. They are dedicated to learning, to the community of students, and to being an example of Christian faith. The other teachers were also very welcoming and helpful in getting me up to speed on how things worked there, providing any help I needed to prepare for my class, and being a reliable soundboard for ideas and issues. Finally, the administration was SO supportive, especially since it was my first time teaching, but throughout the year they were always there for me whenever I needed guidance or wanted to bounce some ideas around. I can't think of a better way to start a teaching career than this.

With two of our children going through Rock Solid. We can truly say we wouldn't have changed a thing. We were more than happy with their education but more importantly the life experiences they gained. Because of small class sizes they learned to appreciate people different personalities and to put their faith skills into practice. We loved the 3 day a week schedule and to be able to have them home studying the other two days. This so prepared them for college and time management skills.

RSHS has a college-type schedule with the kids attending the classroom 3 days a week. This setting has really helped my daughter with time management skills. The classroom sizes are small enough that the teachers are able to give individual care to each student. If you find yourself in need of assistance from the Board members, the principal, assistant principal, or the front office you will find they are all approachable. I highly recommend Rock Solid. They have grades 7th through 12th with some dual credit courses at the highschool level through Colorado Christian University (CCU). We feel very blessed to have found RSHS.

I'm very thankful for Rock Solid and I highly recommend this school to families. The teachers are wonderful and the staff is very supportive and dedicated to our students. We love the university model: work at school three days a week, work at home two days a week. Rock Solid has been a tremendous blessing to our family!

Rock Solid High School has been just that. My experience with the teachers, the continual feedback on the class room experience, the service trips and more have always kept me in the loop as my son matures into a fine young man. Our eldest went to a public High School and the experience was sub optimum; the same certainly can not be said of RSHS!

Great school. Wonderful atmosphere. Four of our children have graduated from RSHS and were well prepared for college.

Poor education. Did not prepare me as well as many of my classmates for college. Textbooks were often 20 years old and falling apart. Many of the teachers didn't know how to teach and didn't know their subject well. Administration plays favorites. Administration and teachers focused more on being "good" and "proper" Christians rather than actually teaching and prepping the students for the real world. You would be better off supplementing your child's education through public school.

Rock Solid is an outstanding school. Our daughter has changed immeasurably in the last year and a half since she has been there. She was a C/D student in the public middle school, and struggled with friendships, with teachers, and with completing her coursework. At Rock Solid, she is now an A student. She has great friendships, and has a great outlook for her future.

Qualified teachers, dedicated students and room to grow as an independent thinker; that is Rock Solid High School. This is school that is a great option for formally home schooled students or public school students that are self-directed and motivated. RSHS is a school that prepares teens for college.
