Unfortunately, I still have a child attending this school, so this is a throwaway account. However, this doesn't dispute the fact that the staff at St. Elizabeth's does not know how to handle situations involving bullying or learning differences. My child, that was previously in the elementary school, was not treated with the proper care that was needed for the delicate situation that was negatively affecting several kids. The teacher, dean, and head of school had no consideration for my child or me and tried to dismiss my concerns over their management of the situation. Aside from the bullying, the teachers at this school aren't equipped to deal with different learning disabilities and, unintentionally or not, isolated my child from the rest of their peers which led to said bullying situation. I've heard of several other bullying cases ranging from the elementary school to the middle school. This is a consistent issue for the Staff and Faculty at this school.
The only reason this is a 2 star and not a one star is because my child that is still attending the school has shown over the years how good their education can be. However, this can never make up for the complete disregard of the safety of children attending their school. I've seen the community of this school deteriorate over the years and hoped that it would change for the better; but it has not.

The positive reviews on this website are from before 2020, when the school was under different leadership. Under current leadership, I have witnessed bullying flourish. I have seen teachers thwarted in their efforts to deal with bullies. Bullying policies are not publicized, and if they exist, they are instituted at the director's whim. My family was not safe here.

It is interesting that they tout in their mission and values: an intentional, inclusive approach distinctive among independent schools. Yet they exclude students with diverse learning needs. Just beaware that their definition of inclusive is limited, and Jesus welcomed ALL children to gather at his feet, without any limitations. I urge the board and head of school to stop using the work inclusive in their materials, because inclusion implies welcoming all students and you do not. I will pray for hearts and minds to open as they students at the school are missing out by exluding kids like mine who happen to learn differently, and are perfect in God's eyes.

St E's has been a solid, old-fashioned school with focus on quality education without pretense. The classroom experience in each grade varies by individual teacher with some giving very little homework and some giving a lot. Language arts seems to be a real strength of the school with focus on writing. Teachers also offer more challenging math work for interested students. Overall, the curricula is good and teachers go above and beyond in offering customization in classes. Teachers seem to enjoy children and there's no teacher absenteeism. St E's is still finding its identity but children are kind with no bullying issues. While the student / parent population is committed, it lacks a social quality, mainly as families are coming from great distances. St E's offers a few extracurriculars after school but it lacks athletics / facilities as it is a small, newer school. Classrooms are big, bright and tidy. But more reno / organization is needed in common areas; bathrooms / drinking fountains are subpar. Tuition is reasonable for most but it's increasing, questionable relative to extent of facilities. Overall, a very good alternative if core education is priority.

At St. Elizabeth's you will find an incredibly positive and nurturing environment, teachers who love to teach and who take the time to know each child as an individual, a strong sense of community within the school and also the commitment to serve outside of the school, and the academic rigor and individualized support for each child.

My school is a diverse community that has a well rounded curriculum which includes art, Spanish and music along with a top rated math program, hands on science curriculum and an in depth reading and writing program. It is all set in a warm, nurturing environment. The school is working hard to expand their technology.

This school offers an individual approach to education. It emphasizes kindness and respect in all interactions and goes the extra mile to help elevate students to reach their full potentials. I am lucky to be a counselor here.

St Elizabeth's has been a wonderful choice for our family! The small classes (limited to 18 pupils with 2 teachers per class), the involved administration and the overall caring environment won us over immediately. Every day when I ask my daughter how her day was the answer is an overwhelming "GREAT". We love the supportive parents and the wonderful extras (PE, Art, Music). St Elizabeth's is a true multi-cultural school. It is EXACTLY what we were hoping for in Denver!

Our experience at St. Elizabeths in just one year has been remarkable. Our child loves his school, his teachers, and learning. His only complaint is that there is no homework on the weekends! I cannot overstate the value of highly individualized, developmentally appropriate instruction. All of this is accomplished in the setting of a diverse and inclusive environment with a true sense of community. The kids all care about each other, just as much as the teachers care about them.

There are a lot of reasons I love St. Elizabeth's School. Here are a few things that stand out to me. My son fell yesterday and had a slight concussion. Today the doctor recommended that he stay home from school and rest up. We heard from both of his teachers in his class, plus the school nurse, the school counselor and the 4th grade teacher (my son is in 5th grade) and other parents. When he got back to school, all of his classmates had made individual cards and the class made and signed one big card for him. I think when he grows up he will remember that he was loved and cared for there and that people went out of their way to show it.

I love the great teachers and the way they truly care for the kids. We have always had great access to our child's teachers and they are the most incredibly helpful group of people you would ever care to meet. The small class size (18-20) with a teacher and assistant in all grades makes for a very individualized education. St. E's is a private K-8 Episcopal school that is by far the most inclusive of private schools in the Denver area. They use a full sliding scale tuition ladder to achieve their mission allowing 1/3 of their children to go almost for free. This makes the school truly diverse in demographics and economics. The children have PE daily, Art, Music, Spanish and Faith Studies giving them a a truly rounded education.

St. Elizabeth School is the most accepting, loving environment for children. The teachers know their students, and they truly care about them. The low student/teacher ratio (8:1 in my son's class) makes even complicated classroom activities completely accessible for all. I love the racial and socioeconomic diversity that is made possible by the school's sliding scale tuition. Every day, when my son hops in the car and I ask him how his day was, he always answers, "GREAT!"

St. Elizabeth's is a school unlike any others in the Denver area. Not only do we have a diverse student body, socio-economically and culturally, but we provide an education comparable with other private schools in the Metro area. As a teacher here, I feel blessed to be able to work with such a diverse population of students in such small classroom settings.

The #1 reason I chose St. Elizabeth s four years ago was not the academics, highly qualified teachers, administrational leadership, or Episcopal tradition. Yes all of those things are important but it is my opinion that those things don t necessarily make a school great. The greatness in any school comes from the community of families that support the children and staff who make the school building their home each day

SES has been fabulous for my two boys. My oldest really needs a smaller class size to thrive. My youngest is excelling because of all the interesting "specials" that keep him busy! Nowhere in public schools can you find art, music & Spanish 2-3X per week, plus PE every day!! I also appreciate the sliding scale approach to tuition. This is the only way we could afford private school for our boys, and it results in a fantastic group of families from different walks of life!

We love the balance St. E's achieves between academic, artistic, physical and spiritual education; a lot of schools claim to educate "the whole child", St. E's actually does a good job of it. In 2012-2913 our son experienced a terrible year at a charter school in Jeffco that left him miserable, anxious and full of self-doubt. St. Elizabeth's was recommended to us by friends and we chose it because of the small student-teacher ratio, outstanding faculty and balanced curriculum. With the care and attention of his classroom teachers especially, our son has regained his self-confidence and is once again a joyful learner. Our entire family is so grateful for St. E's

St. Elizabeth's School has been the perfect place for my son to grow and learn. The small class-size, dedication of excellent teachers and close collaboration between faculty and parents have made his elementary years a time of discovery and growing self-confidence. He will be in 6th grade next year, and he is fully prepared for that next step. I am so thankful that he will continue through middle school with the same caring community to guide and support him.

Our fifth-grader has been a St. E's student since Kindergarten and we love so many things about this school! Small class size, wonderful teachers, individualized attention, and a comprehensive curriculum that not only includes the expected academics, but places heavy emphasis on art, music, physical activity, and character building. We love the racial, economic and religious diversity of our student body! As Catholics, we were initially hesitant about the Faith Studies component of the curriculum, but now love it! Faith studies are approached in a non-demoninational way and the children learn about all of the major world religions, as well as what it means to be a good person and good citizen.

We have two children at St. Elizabeth's and continue to be impressed with the education they are receiving. Class sizes are smaller and the curriculum is broad and challenging. The community - staff, parents, students - are welcoming and inclusive. Our children are thriving academically and socially thanks to this wonderful school.

Our daughter is a kindergartner at St. Elizabeth's and has had a great year so far! It is a small, close-knit community with lots of parental involvement. The Head-of-School is present, active and in constant contact with families. Tuition is income-based and similar to a sliding scale system (making it affordable for us). When I first toured the school, I walked away feeling that it was an incredibly sweet place. Old buildings with lots of people who know your name. I love how the report cards have paragraphs about my child and how she's doing. The teachers really know her. We're thankful to have found it.
