Excellent. I could not be happier. If I have had any concerns, they have been addressed immediately. I have received complements for every teacher that has had my son in class. That feels rewarding on many levels for both parties. A parent can not ask for more than that. These people care and it shows!

Our son is assigned homework every night in all of his classes. He completes it. He hands it in. The approach that I have noticed is a thorough review of the subject matter through a variety of lenses so that all student's learning styles are accommodated.

The teachers at this school care about their students. They take the time to get to know them and their interests. Students are given individual as well as group assignments in class. Therefore, they can be grouped with students that are different from them. This gives them the opportunity to develop emotionally and socially as well as academically. During break times when students and staff are present, staff is usually interaction and taking an interest in the students by speaking with them instead of other teachers.

It is a focal point. Students are required to wear Tshirts and/or sweatshirts daily that read: Be Kind; Show Compassionate. I have never seen anything less from any of the staff in all of my visits to the school. They are very professional, good mentors, and exceptional human beings. If you walk around the school, you will notice all the visuals on the walls appear to be created by the students. There voices are definitely heard! During drop offs, transitions throughout the day, or dismissal at the end of the day, when I have been present, the students are gathered in a respectful manner. There are no loud, rowdy, or obnoxious students present on the sidewalk. Some say hello or hold the door when I have entered the building. It appears to be a calm and respectful environment.

The principal at this school is absolutely amazing. She is always available to speak to a student. She knows all of the students by name and takes a personal interest in their success. Ms. Ortiz rewards students with outings that she personally attends. She is enthusiastic, conscientious, and exceptionally hard working.

Consultants from the District will come into CRA and help with any student with a disability to help individualize that student's curriculum. The school offers concurrent enrollment for students that may need more advanced learning opportunities. I have noticed differentiated strategies used in homework assignments.

I have not heard of one experience of bullying that my son observed and/or experienced. Very unlike his middle school experiences.
