My daughter went to this school for 6-8 then change in the middle of 8th grade. We went to North High School for 9th grade that was the biggest mistake ever. The school is soo big students who haven't attended large schools get lost. We applied to come back to GALS for 10th grade. She was soo excited about going back. love Maggie. I love Sarah.. I love Adam. They all PUSHED my daughter to be better. She didn't get anything like that at North. she will even tell you that she didn't realize what she had when she was here until she left then she immediately was like what in the world. Is it perfect no.. but nothing is perfect. The school helps students who suffer for ADHD.. Kids don't have to be robots here.. I don't have a robot I have an active child.

I would not be who I am today without this school, it's one of the most important communities I have in my life and acts as a second home for me. Throughout my 3 and a half years here I learned not only the necessary academics and life skills I need but also how to be the person I want to be and how to show up in the world. I am that kid who is excited for school because I genuinely enjoy my classes and my teachers are very supportive and effective. I've made friendships that will last a lifetime too. My learning differences have always been supported through a strong 504 plan support staff. I would not trade my experience here for any other school I've heard of, but they also prepared me well for what's next. Overall a great school.

Do anything you can to get into student council. All they do is get taken out to eat Mexican food all the time. Not to mention that the dean is way too emotional and enjoys getting involved in high school affairs. The leadership here is definitely corrupt.

If you're on the slow side, make sure you come in for tutoring every day they won't stop to explain make sure you come in for tutoring every day. Many of them don't provide good notes. During my 8th grade year here, I actually filled a whole notebook with math notes.

Going to the school was the worst decision of my life. I made memories, had some great teachers, but it's giving me such a problem with authority now that it's unhealthy. I beg you, don't go to this school. You'll regret it.

They give you so little homework, that it takes you maybe half an hour to finish it. If you want be prepared for high school, I suggest downloading your own worksheets off the internet.

Most teachers are kind and offer tutoring during lunch and after school.

Most students here are disrespectful and loud. Gals tries to tell us to defy the stereotype that girls have drama, but the people that go here create stupid arguments over the smallest thing.
