This school was honestly not bad at all but the promblem is the principal and the teachers they cuss at students when someone wants help for their grades they don’t really do much and but the school was not really bad it’s just the teachers and principal…

Honestly, As a parent I find these other reviews hilariously ridiculous. One review is from a parent who cares enough about their student to leave a bad review but not enough to help them dress according to the rules, the other two are from parents who are obviously disengaged from the school and are rating it off of second hand information. The truth is that the school's Principle, leadership and teachers are great, and really care about the students. The area around the school (where I reside) is a troubled community and the strides Kepner has made in such a short time is no less than amazing. I love this school, and my students do too. The difference between my review and these others is that mine is from a first hand account aswell as from an engaged parent who is active in this school. I could not say enough good things about this school. Is it perfect? No...but no school is. However, people need to stop blaming schools when in reality the issue is their lack of parent involvement.

I’m very unhappy with this school for many reasons.
I overall don’t like the professionalism of the leader ship at this school especially with students.
My child tells me the principal tells students to shut up during detention.

I sent my child to this school with high expectations. Kepner seemed like a really good school when I went to the school expo, And the staff seemed really nice when I went to tour the school. When my child went to this school in 6th grade School was remote, And now that they are back in school I’m definitely disappointed in this school. My child will be going to a different school next year. There is a lot of behavior issues at this school, And the leadership at this school Isn’t really professional they curse at the kids, And feed into drama that goes on between students. Academically you hardly hear from your students teacher to know how they are doing. This school also gives students an opportunity to choose an enrichment, My child has been requesting a enrichment that they are really interested in and they never got what they wanted the whole year.

Wondering how many other parents have heard from their students that they are being held back from eating lunch because the principal believes that students in uniform with their lanyards should be rewarded during lunch time......in my peraonal opinion they have many other things they can do like asd ltd. But not to hold kids back from receiving their meals. In my personal opinion the uniforms are ridiculous. No one can give me a definitive reason for the uniforms. You would think my child is in school she is there to learn not to be confronted about where the lanyard is or where her uniform is. Or to be punished based on her appearance. I truly believe dps has lost their focus on education and placed it on appearance. May be why the scores are so low.
