I will never have my child attend this school again!!! The principal is very phoney and stuck up and very rude!!! My daughters father was two minutes late due to traffic. The principal talked to him like a 5 year old.

When I moved to this town I had hesitations about what a small town school could possibly be like. My expectations were blown away! The teachers are top notch. The principal is top notch. They encourage parent involvement. They give the children a very strong start to their education. North Stonington curriculum is at least a year ahead of my brother's kids in Rhode Island Public Schools.

North Stonington Elementary is a wonderful school. My daughter has flourished there. Teachers are caring and pay special attention to any needs we may have. Teachers like Jeanne Dionne, Karen Lungren are examples of caring teachers with high standards. I feel safe sending my child there, and find the principal to be tough but caring. The PTO is an amazing group of ladies who go above and beyond for the school.

I am proud to have my 3 children attend NSES. It's a very supportive atmosphere, my children are flourishing. I am very involved/active in the school and have formed great relationships with the teachers and staff. I feel extremely safe sending my children to school each day. I know they are in excellent hands. We moved into NS because of the school district, and it certainly hasn't been a decision I've ever regretted.

INCREDIBLE! I can't begin to describe how impressed we've been with the entire staff at North Stonington Elementary School. Everyone from the Office Staff right up to the Principal is professional, yet very friendly and easy to approach about anything. The teachers are amazingly dedicated to each and every child. We've been in the school system here in North Stonington for eight years now and have yet to meet a teacher that has not been completely focused on the education of the children in their classroom. Even with the curriculum changes in the current school year, and the stress of all the changes, they have remained as professional as ever, with smiles and encouragement for the kids. To me, that speaks volumes for not only the teachers, but for the entire environment of the school itself. It's a safe, friendly, nurturing place for children to learn and I am so glad that our kids have had the opportunity to attend North Stonington Elementary School!

Wonderful! I have two kids through the elementary school system and only wonderful things to say about the teachers, administration, and curriculum. The Principal may run a tight ship, but she ensures a smoothly run and safe learning environment. I enjoyed the close parent - teacher communication and have always felt involved and well informed of my children's progress. I love the small student-teacher ratio and the flexibility of the staff to quickly identify and rectify any issue that arises. I have been a part of this school system for eight years, and have been nothing but impressed. Thank you for all you do! Keep up the great work!

Terrible, this school use to be great but no more. I have 2 kids, one in high school now and one still in elementary. I'm ready to home school. The principal is a fake terrible stuck up person. She plays favorites and is a bully to many kids and teachers. About 3/4 of the teachers are wonderful and the other 1/4 are either crazy or just don't care. They don't listen to the kids or listen to parents. Some of the new common core is just plain crazy nonsense. The middle/high school is much better but since the principal is leaving, we shall see. New Superintendent is great! By the way, it's funny how many administrators and teachers don't like the principal in the elementary

Awful. Bottom line: if you care about your kids, don't send them here. The principle is a micromanager and is very controlling. I feel bad for the teachers there that want to teach but are under the principles close watch.
