Hello, I am a proud parent of two attending St.Thomas More. Last year I enrolled my 1st. Child In second grade. What a great decision that was. My son has learned so much at the school . The teachers and staff care about the children. They offer help when they see help is needed. Counseling, clothes, tutoring. Ect. And most of all the amount of homework given. Reflect what they are learning in class. I loved the structure at the school so much I enrolled my 3 year old in their pk3 class.
I would recommend this school to anyone.

I am a grandparent of a former student that is now in her final Junior year at Morgan State University and grandparent of 6th grader at St Thomas Moore. They both started as Kindergartens and both shining scholars from 4th Street St Thomas Moore Academy. I appreciate how Mr. Smith and his Educators staff pour and instill in the students and show their talent. Raiders Pride

I am a parishioner of St. Thomas More Church and proud parent of four students whom attend(ed) the school. Our experience has been nothing less than great. The school and parish are an extension of our family and one we can heavily rely on. The school offers supportive educators who really care about our students progression in their education. Also, there is a sense of family and community across the faculty that I really appreciate in the school. When deciding to commit to a Catholic education for my children it was important for me to find an institution that values education, faith, and equipping our students with the skills they need as they become young adults. In so many words, St. Thomas More Catholic Academy is an amazing school and I would highly recommend to any families who are looking for a school that puts their students first and understand the importance of providing a solid education.

Our son transferred from a pretty well know Catholic School in MD to STMDC. We couldnt be happier about our decision. Our son has learned so much in just the short time there. We have an amazing relationship with his teacher and other staff members. Theres a sense of community and belonging! Some schools can tell you what they do but STMDC showed us what they do! I would highly recommend this St. Thomas More DC.

I believe in this community so much that I currently have three children enrolled. The educators are genuinely dedicated to challenging the scholars academically and building them up with social and emotional learning. My children love it here. Always feeling safe, valued and supported.

I have two kids in their third year at STM. They absolutely love school. They literally run into the building every morning. The teachers are so caring and patient. They really push the scholars to think critically and be of good character. The staff always uses the word family to describe the school community and it truly does feel like a family.

St Thomas More Academy is an exceptional school. The school principal, teachers, and administrative staff are respectful and very dedicated to the STM scholars. They guide the scholars in their spiritual development and teach them to love and support each other. I have three scholars who attend St Thomas More ( Per K, First Grade and 4th grade) and One who graduated from STM in June of 2022 . I cannot say enough about how blessed we are to call STM our FAMILY.

St. Thomas More Catholic Academy has been an inspiration of excellence for our family, as all three of our children have had the privilege of attending starting from PreK. The impact it has had on our family's life is immeasurable, and we can't help but share our enthusiasm and gratitude for this exceptional school.
From the moment we first set foot in the welcoming embrace of St. Thomas More, we knew that we had found a place where our children could not only thrive academically but also grow into compassionate, responsible, and well-rounded individuals. The sense of belonging and community is palpable, making us feel like a part of an extended family rather than mere attendees.
One of the school's most outstanding features is its dedicated and passionate teaching staff, complemented by a truly exceptional administration. The educators at St. Thomas More go above and beyond to ensure each scholar receives the best possible education. They understand that every scholar is unique and deserving of individualized attention, and this commitment to personalized learning has played a pivotal role in our children's academic achievements. The administration provides strong leadership and support for the school's vision, ensuring that the entire institution operates efficiently and effectively, ultimately creating an environment where scholars can thrive.
Furthermore, the moral and ethical values instilled by St. Thomas More have helped shape our childrens spiritual development to instill in them a deep sense of compassion and empathy. The strong foundation in Catholic teachings has enriched their moral compass making them well-prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
The school has a variety extracurricular programs. Our children have had the opportunity to explore a wide array of interests, from sports to the arts. This well-rounded approach to education ensures that scholars not only excel academically but also develop a breadth of skills and talents that will serve them well in the future.
We couldn't be happier with our decision to send all three of our children to St. Thomas More, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent seeking an exceptional education intertwined with strong moral values. This school has been a blessing to our family, and we eagerly anticipate the continued growth and success of our children under its nurturing guidance.

I have two children that attend STM and what they experience at this school, you won't find anywhere else. The educators at STM encourage and show love and support to their scholars and to the families. STM's community is centered on Christ and that's very important. They pray together, praise together and work together to make the experience at STM a great one.

All three of my children have attended STM from 2007 to 2021 and I can say that the faculty and staff are very engaging with the students. The primary teachers are the best! Which is important because they set the foundation for the grades to follow. With the latest principal, the school is definitely turning in a positive direction giving them a more competitive edge by offering more critical thinking skills, pushing more reading of classic literature, pulling on more parent involvement, engaging the kids in hands-on activities like robotics and science fairs, introducing more clubs like chess and band, and fostering a can-do mindset. The administration of the school has been a constant, as well as the primary grade teachers, since I've been there. They are very helpful and caring. The principal is very passionate about teaching and expanding the minds of his scholars. Having a male figure as the principal is also a huge plus for all the scholars but especially the boys who need more positive male role models to look up to.

Words can't begin to express the love I have for this school. The principal, Ms. Coates is a great lead for them and we all know, with a great lead, makes a great school then turns to children getting a great education. I have no issues with St Thomas More or their staff. I have to say... even remembering from my school days.. There are no other teachers like those at St Thomas More. I cringe when I think of my son attending another school and he's not and I will do everything in my power to make sure he continues his education at St Thomas More. St Thomas rocks!!

Homework is given to all students including pre-k, most teachers give the homework for the week on Monday to be turned in on the following Monday, which works good for parents with busy schedules.

I love St. Thomas More, I was a student and had the pleasure of being taught by Ms. Coates and now my girls are students and the structure is just as strong if not better from when I attended. Ms. Coates is a Awesome leader and role model to all the young men and women enrolled at St. Thomas More. She is all about helping others and has done everything in her power to keep me and my Girls a part of the Raiders family!

I love it here. The principal takes time to listen to concerns and encourage the children as well as the teachers to push hard toward achievement academically and socially. The teacher treat my children as if they are their own children. The intimate and individual care of my children have been wonderful. I would recommend this school to everyone

Attending St. Thomas More Catholic Academywas one of the best things that could have happened to me. I learned how to take risks without being afraid of failing. I also learned how to be a good leader. I served as a mentor to an elementary student. I also learned how to be more compassionate and considerate of others. I volunteered with the school's pantry which collected food for members of the community. Most of all, I learned that working hard is the key to success, thanks to Ms. Coates and Father Moore. With their support, I was able to discover my strengths and stay focused. Ms. Coates showed me the keys to success and what it takes to get there. She really helped me to become a better student and person. She never gave up on me when I had an off day. She always had faith that I could do well if I worked hard and pushed myself. She was right!
