Since starting at MSOW, my son has grown so much not just academically, but in confidence and independence. At three years old, he can count from 1 to 20, recognize colors, shapes, animals, and even identify some letter sounds and symbols. His fine motor skills have improved a lot through activities like scooping and sorting, and his gross motor coordination is fantastic he loves ball games now! The teachers have also been very supportive with potty training, helping him progress gently and naturally without pressure. Its incredible to see how much hes learned and matured in such a nurturing, respectful environment.

Our experience at this school has been truly wonderful. I love how close the families become due to the multiple occasions where we get together for parties, birthdays, or field trips. My daughter has been able to greatly improve her reading and fine motor skills here. She's truly independent. She puts away her things after eating and puts on her own clothes and shoes. She has learned how to speak up for herself here. And her math skills are impressive. Also, I love how attentive the teachers are to the students. I know it won't be like this forever in her educational life.

The Montessori School of Washington (MSOW) is a small, loving, nurturing school with amazing teachers. Our daughter has been there for 2 years and we have seen her grow and blossom in so many ways; including her ability to express her thoughts, work with others and being more independent. Since starting the school she has become more self aware and open to new things. We love the daily updates in the form of videos and pictures. The curriculum exceeds our expectations and have noticed our daughter showing interest in art and reading. I was impressed at the level of science experiments, the introduction to math concepts and art projects. If you are looking for a preschool in the DC area MSOW is truly a hidden gem with a wonderful community of parents.

My daughter loves this school. They teach practical life skills and encourage independence while fostering a nurturing environment. The teachers also provide updates on child activities throughout the day, which is nice visibility for parents.

The Montessori School of Washington DC is an excellent Montessori school. My son started last year and he is thriving academically, socially, and emotionally! He is appreciated for all of his good qualities and is growing and learning in a loving environment. Mrs. Funmi, Ms. Heidi, and Ms. Marifer have provided an exceptional learning environment for my little one; each teacher and staff is nurturing and caring! MSOW, has exceeded my expectations. MSOW is a supportive, safe, nurturing, and enriching environment that rewards independence, kindness to others, and hard work. Education with compassion and creativity. We love the MSOW community and are beyond grateful to be a part of it! Thank you Mrs. Funmi, Ms. Heidi, Ms. Marifer, and all staff!

MSOW has been amazing for our son who has thrived since attending. The staff is so knowledgeable, incredibly caring, and fosters a wonderful balance between learning and play. I cant say enough great things about this school and am thankful we have found it.

My son has been at the MSOW since September when he was barely 17 months. We were a little nervous as this will be a big transition for him and he's also the youngest at the daycare.
After spending 4 months there, we are amazed of how quickly our little one has adapted to the daycare and bonded with all the staff there. We love the "family" atmosphere there and my husband and I are so happy with the phenomenal daycare. Our son now confidently walks himself upon arrival at the center. We have also observed that he has developed motor skills more rapidly and has become more sociable. The location is also convenient for us for an easy dropoff on Macarthur Blvd on the way to work downtown.
So, we love MSOW and would highly recommend the daycare to anyone looking for quality daycare. All the teachers are so dedicated and committed to ensure the students have the best environment to excel!

The school has 2 groups of children who conduct separate activities. They focus on deficiencies a child may have and help overcome them.

The teachers at this Montessori school helped my daughter become more independent by teaching her how to eat, dress and socialize by herself.

My experience with this Montessori is exceptional. The teachers are very dedicated and warm with the kids. My daughter can't wait to go to school every morning. They do many indoor and outdoor activities and the kids are never bored.

New ownership for the past couple of years. Small boutique school with kids from many countries. The building looks ominous but the inside space is bright and clean. The kids are well-behaved, enjoying themselves in a controlled environment and doing a lot of learning. Such a nice place you'd wish it would go on all through primary school.
