My daughter is now in her second year at CHOW Montessori, and I have only positive things to say about this wonderful preschool. The teachers are warm and experienced educators who provide a nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. My daughter loves going to school each morning, and my husband and I are wholly confident in the instruction and care she receives there.

We love CHOW. CHOW is located in a church on Dumbarton street between 31st and Wisconsin in Georgetown. It has its own fenced off private playground (with several shade trees) and lots of great indoor space. CHOW has operated for over 40 years and is a neighborhood treasure. Our 3yr old daughter is there now. She also attended the summer camp there ("Camp Berry"). Our 18 month old will attend as well. While I did not go to montessori growing up, my wife did and she even was an aide at one for several years and says CHOW is truly excellent.
CHOW offers a range of programs for students which includes:
Half Day Program: 8:45am - 12:00pm
Full Day Program: 8:45am - 3:00pm
After School Care: 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Early Morning Care: 8:00am - 9:00am

Can't rate this place highly enough. It is extremely well-run with excellent leadership and a loving, dedicated staff. Our 5-year-old son had a tremendous experience.

Absolutely wonderful. The teachers at Children's House are dedicated, talented, hard working and lovely, with student needs and interests foremost in their minds and hearts.

Chow is a wonderful school, it helped my son develop his talents greatly and I could not have been happier with the level of education and care he received. Truly a wonderful Montessori school.

Wonderful experience, a truly wonderful school where the teachers care and provide a high level of education and learning fundamentals to children during their most critical years of their life. My son has blossomed as a result of this wonderful school.

CHOW was a fundamental part of of the success of our adaptation to life in Washington. Our 3 year old moved here without speaking any English and found in CHOW a nurturing and stimulating environment to build his confidence and make friends. Teachers and the entire CHOW community is kind and helps children thrive and grow. My son is now in Kindergarten and is extremely well prepared.

CHOW is magical - the best preschool, teachers, curriculum, and classmates that we could ask for.

We're enrolling our second child in this maginficant little school after an an excellent experience there with our first child. The teachers are warm and encouraging, the parents engaged and easy going. Our first daughter thrived in every way - academically and socially - and we can't imagine sending our second anywhere else.

My son loves this school, in particular the counting games, math, reading, drama, music, and friendships he has made. The director, Patti, is a warm and straight-talking, experienced teacher whose candor i appreciate. Lovely and warm school and great first experience for son in his first "school " environment. Highly recommend. Hidden "secret" gem of Georgetown in my opinion, and very diverse.
