The strong community at Miner is exactly what we are looking for in a neighborhood school, and I am thrilled that my daughter will be going there for the next 7 years - from Pre-K and up. Boiling down a schools' performance to standardized test metrics does not in any way reflect the learning, the support and the experience-based learning going on at this school. If you pass on this school experience because of what some website says about test numbers, you will really be missing out.

My daughter absolutely raves about her teachers. She misses them when she is not at school. I have noticed extremely high growth since she started at Miner. Her teacher uses Class Dojo to send frequent updates and keep parents involved.

We honestly didn't know much about Miner before enrolling, but we have been thrilled with the wonderful school community of families, teachers and staff. Our child loves going to school. The teachers communicate well with us, and we've witnessed not only our child's impressive academic growth but also his social and emotional growth as well. This is a wonderful community full of dedicated educators and families committed to the success of the school and every student.

We adore the teachers and staff at Miner. They are caring, dedicated and look beyond test scores and numbers to see each and every child as a unique individual and then foster their academic success, needs and passions.

I love the beautiful life lessons our child is learning each and every day in this diverse, welcoming community. The school wide events like the Spring Dance, Oktoberfest and movie night bring all the grades and families together to foster community at Miner.

There is much more to Miner than this page indicates. My children love attending Miner and I have found a diverse community of parents and caregivers committed to being a part of the exciting growth of the school. My recommendation for anyone considering Miner is to look beyond the statistics presented here, visit the school and talk to parents.

Every day, both of my girls advance, and every day, they want to go back to school. Even on weekends!

There is no question that students and quite frankly families are developing a more integrated and equitable world each day at Miner.

Sometimes communication could be a little better. But overall, the leadership is effective and driving strong learning and fun activities for students that span socioeconomic and racial backgrounds.

Teachers and leadership seek to hold students to standards and to provide individualized instruction so all students have the opportunity it to reach their potential.

Each year, the school has multiple sessions dedicated to addressing bullying and treating each other appropriately. Both of my daughters feel safe and loved each day.

Teachers seek to challenge students, but itÂ’s not overbearing. A good balance of challenge and fun.

My daughter just completed Pre-K at Miner and we've been very satisfied with our experience at the school. My daughter has had an excellent teacher and teaching assistant and has grown tremendously in her two years in the early childhood program. Despite what we hear about the school from neighbors who don't attend, I feel very fortunate to be a part of this school's community. I would encourage anyone interested to look beyond the test scores, talk with the teachers, visit the school and then make a decision about whether or not it's the right place for your child. There's a growing PTO and a great desire to have families involved.
