My kids have been at Anchor now for about 5 years. The staff, front office, teachers, principal and assistant principal has been nothing but wonderful and helpful. Weve had an issue with bullying once and we reached out to the teacher and principal after hours when we found out. The principal and teacher were quick to message back and dealt with it the next day. We havent had any issues since.

This school has been everything we hoped for since moving to Jacksonville. The leadership is transparent and helpful throughout every issue that may arise; whether that is a student to student issue, a scheduling conflict, or extra help needed for the children. I appreciate all the effort they put forth in order to make our children better on a day to day basis. The teachers have been second to none as well. Having had children in a 10 out of 10 school prior to this, I see the same level of devotion and care to learning and bettering the children. The school branches out and is working on updates constantly in a good way. The ability to take constructive criticism and turn it into action allows us parents to believe in the schools objective. I am glad that my children go here and am happy knowing the people in place are going to continue my childrens education in the future.

I absolutely LOVE this school and the community within. I have 2 attending and every single staff member I have encountered has been nothing but helpful and resourceful. Being a military family the new transitions can always be scary and tough but they literally but those anxieties at ease!!! My kids love their teachers and staff members and I truly feel the staff and teachers genuinely love the children in return!!!

Great teachers who care about the kids. Principal Collier is easy to get in touch with and is a great leader. The school itself is older, but the people there are a family to everyone.

This school is amazing. Military family focused. They have a great understanding of what military children go theough and even offer consueling services for kids with parents on deployment or who have PCS'd. The teachers are effective and caring. I have watched my daughter blossom as a Kindergartner at this school. I also love how small this school is. Class sizes are generally on the lower side of 20 students each. This allows the teacher time to focus on each child and every teacher and person on the office staff knows the students by name..

The kindergartners have folders they bring home daily with their assignments they have done while in school and sometimes homework for us parents to.work with at home. The teachers are all friendly and always present themselves as available when you need help to help your child.

The teachers at this school are phenomenal! They have a great office staff and principal backing them.

They have weekly silver anchor and monthly golden anchor awards for students that is focused solely only character building these characteristics.

Kids will be kids but if there is a serious issue they deal with it appropriately and swiftly. I was witness to this with one of my daughter's classmates who was being picked on. The staff dealt with it very professionally.

My children have gone to this sweet school for four years. As a school counselor (13 years experience) I know what to look for in a good school....and this school checks the requirements off! Not only are the test scores above the state average, but that's WITH a transient population. The teacher student ratio is low and I feel like each student gets ample personal attention. The uniform policy is great and students aren't competing for fashion trends. The administration and staff are also caring and attentive. The school also has wonderful events for students and parents!! When you walk into this school everyone knows everyone. It is a HOME more than a school.

We continue to be impressed by this outstanding school. The staff is wonderful and attentive to the needs of the students. They are constantly striving to improve the grades and social interaction of the children. We are really enjoying the relatively new principal, Mr. Dew, and love how he is eager to listen to the concerns of us parents. Finegan is the best elementary we have had and thankful to have our children in attendance there.

This school hasn't always had the best repetition in the past but it has definitely come a long way!! This is our last year here and I can honestly say that we were treated like family. My son started coming to Finigan for speech with Mrs. Garrett before he was even in school and at that time he was very shy, but she was very patient with him and because of her, I truly believe he has come to love school. This is one school that not only encourages volunteers, but celebrates them. At the end of the year, the teachers provide a volunteer breakfast to say thank you to everyone who has helped out!! So if you are able to volunteer, I highly encourage you to. I am going to miss this school and I know that I will never find another like it!!
