Horrible school. Terrible management of lack thereof. My brother is being bullied and they continuously sweep it under the rug and brush it off. Dismissal and irresponsible are two words I would use to describe the school. They also covered up when I was in high school in 2018-19 a student put up a camera in the bathroom of ECE taking pictures of children and the students.

West Broward is an excellent high school located in Pembroke Pines. They have the best JROTC program for the students.

Although we have not personally encountered any incidents of bullying, we have heard of some cases and feel that they can be more quickly and strongly be dealt with.

West Broward High is a fantatstic school that provides students at all levels an opportunity to be successful. The school has a rigorous curriculum with more than the typical number of AP courses available, taught by faculty who are well versed in their subject and serve as AP graders however, they do not focus on simply passing the exam and rather develop the type of skills and knowledge commensurate with a college level course. Critical thinking is valued. We have only encountered a couple of teachers who were not up to our expectations and were able to address this quickly once they knew we were involved parents. A number of the teachers go out of their way to provide an amazing experience for their students. The CTE courses tracks are grounded in solid academic preparation and get students ready for advanced study in these areas. The debate program is superb. Our children are well prepared having attended WBHS.

A new principal this year has energized the school and established a terrific role model in terms of leadership. This was the area most lacking previously.

Administration leaves a lot to be desired. My daughter was consistently fed incorrect information regarding scholarships and bright futures. Too many mistakes!!

My girls are thriving at West Broward. One has been in marching band for two years and loves the music programs. They both are in JROTC and the marksmanship group. They feel like they are getting the support they need to succeed. The office staff are friendly and always efficient and guidance counselors really care about the students.

West Broward High School has been an exceptional school. My 3 daughters have been a part of this school and I can't stress enough the commitment and exemplar education that this school offers their students. As a parent and an involved one as well, they have opened their doors and welcomed us with professionalism and devotion.

Their extra curriculum activities surpass my expectations. The JROTC program lead by 1ST Sergent Sosa is phenomenal. The students that go through his program are exemplar students.

I would definitely recommend this school as an A++ school in regards to standards and expectations both from students and parents.

Although administration and faculty seems very nice...there are very few teachers and staff that truly care about the wellfare of your student...Unless you as a parent are present to voice over your concerns your child is just a number moving through the system to bring up school ratings and the main concern is graduation percentage and school rank which is why some kids mysteriously dissapear into other schools and by the time you find out it is too late... Go somewhere that you have more personal attention unless you have plenty of time to visit high school office and staff every week!

West Broward is a fantastic new school. The school provides free SAT tutoring. The students are well prepared for college and many get into the top Florida Universities. West Broward offers many activities through clubs and sports. They communicate well with parents. I highly recommend this school.

West Broward is AMAZING school. I have three teenagers that have experienced the learning environment there. They have all found their purpose and passion there. The JROTC program with Sergeant Sosa is an award-winning program and top rate. The TV Production Program was a WONDERFUL experience for my high school senior. Both of my older kids have earned scholarships for college through their programs of interest at this school. The administration is wonderful, kind, caring, and diligent. Personally, I am a school teacher in the private sector, but I believe so much in the great things going on at WBHS that I wouldn't have my kids anywhere else. My youngest will be attending WBHS for the first time in the fall. I have GREAT EXPECTATIONS of things to come at WBHS. It's been a God-send and blessing. Go BOBCATS!!!

West Broward is a great public school. I have a 12th and 10th grader. The school offers a huge array of after school clubs with wonderful teachers who volunteer to lead them. We have had very good experiences with the sports teams. I suppose if you want a winning football team you should go elsewhere-but every year you see students getting athletic scholarships and the exceptional array of opportunities and advanced level work has made it possible for my daughter to qualify for top universities that have winning football programs. The school offers free Math and English SAT prep and help with college essays. I would agree that you have to be your child's advocate and make sure they are placed in appropriate classes and get involved if your student is having problems with a teacher. If your child is smart they will be pushed to take many AP courses (unnecessary busy work). The Honors classes are pretty easy and if your child is from out of state and done well, push for them. Bring your child's test scores with you. Most teachers care, coaches are great, staff answers questions, the 12th grade advisor is the best in Broward County-helpful, kind and a good communicator.

This school leaves a lot to be desired. Coming from Cumming, GA and exceptional educational system there West Broward is a disappointment. The blatant use of drugs is scary. If you are coming from out of state during the summer and registering your child, make sure you know what your child is capable of and make them give your child appropriate classes. Being new to the area we made the mistake of letting the 9th grade guidance counselor talk us out of honors classes. What a mistake. Also if you are coming from out of state you won't have FCAT scores and they will insist in placing your child in a remedial reading class. If you feel your child doesn't need that fight, threaten, do whatever it takes to make sure that your child gets in a class that will help and challenge him/her. A lot of the teachers don't care and have attitudes with the kids. Stay on top of everyone and fight for your child's rights. I practically lived in the offices the first few months of school making them "get it right". Now I go there and everyone knows me. If I could put them in another school I would. Also the football team SUCKS. They have no real leadership. Overall I am dreading the next few years.

West Broward High is truly the real deal; it has the BEST principal leadership in the area (that's actually a fact, not a generous overstatement) but the reason I gave it four stars is really just because of a few minor teacher issues I've had throughout my time here. At times, I would get unfathomably lucky to have an amazing teacher who really made an impression, but other times (and I'm speaking as a student who has taken every AP offered) my experience was really lacking. However, leadership goes a long way, and our Principal has been able to work out most of the kinks. On a side note, WBHS can proudly boast that it really has almost no "cliques" to speak of because it is so new, which was really rewarding for someone like me who came in not knowing anyone. go bobcats!

Military Parent. - Principal - Genuinely concerned about the safety and welfare of his students. Solid role-model and leader. - Teachers: Mixed bag. During the summer of 2010 educational budget cuts gouged West Broward adminstration's ability to the same quantity and quality of teachers they had the previous year. This left several teachers instructing courses they were assigned with little time to study the curriculum. One horror story, a teacher admitted to my daughter's class that he was unqualified to teach the course. This same teacher was later terminated in the middle of the year leaving the class without a teacher. An AP student actually proctored the class for several days prior to another teacher covering the remainder of the school year. Not good. Guidance Counselors - I was completely underwhelmed by the quality of the counseling provided to the students. We attempted to get several classes changed due to issues in the classroom and were stonewalled by the counselors that "not everyone can switch out of classes because they don't like the teacher". This is not an acceptable response. Facilities - Top rate - Not overstating that the facilities are state-of-the art.

My son was amongst the school's first graduating class. We had him reassigned there from Cypress Bay, in WB's first year. What a phenomenal experience! From the Principal and his Administrative staff, the Faculty and all of the Support staff, this school is one of a kind. Excellence in academics, the Arts and Vocational studies is encouraged. There is so much for any child, ESE, ESOL, Gifted and students who may be average, academically, to partake of and to find a niche for themselves. We are, forever, indebted to West Broward High for everything our son was encouraged to become while there.

This is by far the most poorly managed high school in all of Broward County. The vast majority of the teaching staff is ill equipped to teach the subjects to which they are assigned. For example, the school had a cheer-leading coach teach AP Art History and a swim coach teach Honors Chemistry. There are a few good teachers throughout the social studies department, but it is only a matter of time before they all flee to Cypress Bay High. Furthermore, the guidance department is terribly understaffed and unhelpful. All they care about is whether or not their students graduate from high school; as such, students at the top of their graduating class receive little useful advice when they apply to selective colleges. Do not attend this school if given a choice; look to Cypress Bay, Cooper City, or Stoneman Douglas as viable alternatives.

This school has an incredibly involved staff. A lot of young energetic teachers who work one on one with the kids (all high schoolers), encouraging them to look forward to college and make the best of themselves. Their emphasis on the ethnic diversity of the school and community is of major commendation. For all the above, this school is a true example for the rest of America.

This is an excellent school. My two sons transferred here from a private school and West Broward is above and beyond what we had expected. The teachers and staff are great and they have a genuine interest in the success of the students. This is an amazing school and to think we were paying for private school. Go Bobcats!!!
