In middle school I struggled to stay focused because I wanted being challenged so when I joined this school, they offered to put me in SHIELD. A specific higher level gifted program with the chances of Dual enrollment, AP and AICE classes. They also had an academy for medicine which helped me start my pathway of becoming a nurse. You can also dual academies. EX; Law and medicine can be done both if you aren't sure if you want to be the legal or medical field yet.

There is internship and hands-on experience in the school, free tutoring for tests of ALL sorts (SAT, AP, AICE, State tests, etc) I honestly wouldn't go to any other school even if they paid me.

My niece is graduating this year from HGHS and she was accepted to all colleges that she applied for. She has College credits and more than enough hours of community and Clubs. My daughter is a freshman this year and has had an amazing experience transitioning. Students are welcoming and the Principal gives an open and educational environment where the students come first. I believe with a great leader you will have great workers, and this is the case with my experience with HGHS. Love the staff, programs and school spirit.

It is a great school. Teachers are the best. I'm glad my grandson is attending Hialeah Garden HS. They have amazing programs for students to develop their potential and decide for a better future. The BEST!!!!!

Class of 2013 here!
My advice is to take advantage of all the amazing programs at HGHS. I'm so proud of my old school and I'm not surprised HGHS gets top rankings every year. I actually felt prepared for college and THAT IS A BIG DEAL for STEM majors because professors have high expectations of you from day one. Amazing school 5/5

This school is fake in every way. The administrators are annoying, can't stand them. You're looking at a school who cares more about uniform than academic matters :), hence the falseness, trying to look good when they aren't. The counselors are so useless.

THIS SCHOOL IS GOOD FOR A LARGE VARIETY OF EDUCATION BUT SOME OF THE STAFF MEMBERS ARE EXTREMELY RUDE. ESPECIALLY SOME OF THE OFFICE STAFF. THEY TREAT THE STUDENTS LIKE IT'S THEIR FAULT THEY HATE THEIR JOB. SOME OF THE RULES ARE OKAY BUT THEN SOME ARE EXTREMELY RIDICULOUS LIKE STRICT REINFORCEMENT ON LOGOS, NO HOODED SWEATERS, CONSTANT UNIFORM CHECKS. IT'S SILLY REASONS TO GET IN TROUBLE. I DO WANT TO SHARE THAT MOST OF THE ADMINISTATORS ARE VERY KIND HEARTED AND OVER ALL VERY HELPFUL INCLUDING THE PRINCIPLE. THEY HAVE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS THAT OFFER A TON OF HELP WHICH IS ALWAYS GOOD. A GOOD VARIETY OF SPORTS AVAILABLE. THERE'S A TON OF GREAT TEACHERS, FEW THAT I BELIEVE ARE OUT OF THEIR MIND, STRESSING STUDENTS A BIT TOO MUCH (THIS ISN'T COLLEGE, YES I KNOW THERE'S CAMBRIDGE LEVELS BUT I BELIEVE LEARNING SHOULD ALWAYS BE FUN. FUN IN THE WAY TO TRY NEW ACTIVITIES THAT ENGAGE STUDENTS IN PARTICIPATING, NOT JUST WRITING ESSAYS & BORING ACTIVITIES OVER PAPER OR A COMPUTER. OVERALL I AM GLAD I GRADUATED FROM THIS SCHOOL BECAUSE I FELT LIKE THE TEACHERS ARE GREAT INFLUENCES AND THEIR EFFORT IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. THEY MOTIVATED ME TO BE GREAT EVEN LONG AFTER GRADUATION.

This is such a great school. Teachers are the best except for that uneducated dance teacher. It's a shame to have someone like her in this wonderful school. Don't know how the principal had allowed her.

As a parent of a child in Hialeah Gardens High School I can gladly say my child has spent the best years of his life there. The teachers were always helpful and glad to teach any students with struggle. The school is overall very nice and welcoming to everyone!

As a student in this school for 3 year I can strongly say that I couldn't see myself going to any other school! The teachers actually teach and have an interest in their student's academic life as well as their personal lives. The teacher and student relationships that I have acquired are incredible I can go up to anyone on my teachers and ask them for advise in just about anything and they are alway eager to help you. Yes, the school is overcrowded and yes it does get annoying but, that is nothing that can be changed now since the school is a public school. One thing that does annoy me is the traffic in the mornings and how parents drop off their students not in the specified dropping off area which I almost had a couple accidents due to parents stopping right in front of the student parking lot. Anyway, the school needs to work on the traffic situation to get students and student drivers to class on time and safe. This is one of the best high school's in Hialeah because it isn't a student teacher atmosphere, the school is like a family which everyone has the best interest for your child.

This school is ok. Most of the teachers and administration will help you. The only thing the school is missng is some classes that will eventually be added.

Beautiful building, brand new classrooms and great technology. That's what I have seen the times I have gone to pick up my kids there. They also tell me how modern the school is. However, since it is one of the newest schools in the area of Hialeah, it has gained much popularity and everyone wants to transfer their kids there. This has created overcrowding in just one year since it's official opening to the new building. Did I mention the school dropped its grade from "B" to "C"? My kids who are in 9th and 10th grade tell me that they have about 43 student in every class. The classes become hot, loud and disturbing. With so many students in the class, they can't learn the same. They can not ask the teachers for much needed help during lecture. The teachers seem overwhelmed with all this kids and grading their assignments.

The school is not a great school as everyone says it is. I'm a parent , and im very disapointed with the lack of interest in the students with the adminastration. They provided, rude and unhelpful service and need to improve on this issue. The school's beautiful however the ones who run it are not as amazing as every parent is setting it to be.

As a student at HGHS I see things from the only perspective that matters. Teachers are great, head and shoulders above some other schools I've attended. You can really sit down and have a beer with this people, they're approachable. The school is a bit crowded and it is quite noticeable. Also, the administration is a bit of a joke really. We all have to take the good with the bad, so it's a solid school overall. The teachers really make up for a lot.
