Tengo 2 niñas en la escuela de 4to y 5to, me las había llevado para una chárter que solo me dejó dos niñas desmotivadas y hasta no queriendo volver a estudiar, ese año 24/25 en el Rolando espinosa ha hecho que mis hijas estén felices, se sientan incluidas, apoyadas, comprendidas y lo mejor de todo es que hasta su nivel académico subió demasiado y TODO porque desde su principal, su staff de oficina, las maestras, los securities y el resto del equipo, son especiales, se conectan con los niños, los cuidan y manejan integralmente. Gracias! 1.000 gracias! Soy una mamá que ama esta escuela.

I am very pleased with the experience my daughter had at this school during her seven years of attendance. The education she received was excellent, and she truly enjoyed her time there. The school provided a nurturing environment that encouraged her academic growth and personal development.

Recently, I had the opportunity to contact the current principal, Mr. Phil A. Mato, regarding some requests I had, and I must say that he and his staff were incredibly helpful. They responded promptly and professionally, ensuring that my needs were addressed. This level of care reflects the school's ongoing commitment to both its students and their families.

I am confident that the school will continue to be a positive force within the Doral community. With dedicated leadership and a supportive staff, I believe the school will maintain its high standards of education and will keep benefiting future generations of students.

Es una escuela maravillosa, mis dos hijos se han sentido motivados a alcanzar las metas académicas sin sentirse cargados. El proceso de aprendizaje ha sido un viaje placentero.
Cada año nuestras expectativas han sido superadas, tanto por el trabajo de los maestros, staff y alumnos. Definitivamente nos sentimos felices de formar parte de la comunidad de DRE.

DRE is an amazing school, both my kids did Cambridge and gifted classes, lots of opportunity for smart kids to get a great education. Only downside to the school and reason I am rating it a 4 and not a 5 is that there arent many clubs and extracurricular activities for kids after classes. Everything else is flawless.

No tuve suerte con esta escuela. En kinder la maestra no tenía control del aula y era terrible aquello y en primero con la maestra online fue terrible. No había forma de comunicarse con ella no respondía e-mails me llamo para ofrecerme tutorías para mi hijo por $25 la hora y a los que si tomaban las tutorías tenían trato especial. A todo esto la escuela no hacía nada. Empezamos 29 y terminamos 13 niños. Horrible no se preocupan por el desarrollo de los estudiantes.

When I often read comments on this site, I believe they are sometimes one sided, and extreme.

But I have to say, as a parent of 2 children in the school year 2015-2016, DRE has been a terrible disaster and a complete utter dissapointment.

My son in K, his teacher left at the middle of the school year, and has not come back ever since. The kids now have a substitute teacher and the return of the real teacher seems to be impossible.

The other child, out of the classes he has, 3 teachers left and never return, thus left the rest of the school year with 3 substitute teachers.

The school is over populated, due to the fact that the area has seen an increase in population, people who migrate from other countries and also new housing developments. The city is apparently building other schools, but in the meantime this is what we have.

The disorder and chaos at the cafeteria has made headlines in the local newspaper, showing how students eat in the cafeteria with ia pile of rubbish and trash everywhere, no cleaning at all. I asked my children if this is true, they said that 'sometimes'. I couldn't believe it but it was real.

Bottom line, if you can get your children in another school, do this, because this is truly the worst experience anyone can get from a school.

We moved to Doral in August 2013, My daughter was going into eleventh grade, I thought it was going to be awful for Her but for My surprise she had a great time she graduated and is now in Her first year of college. Passed SAT and All Florida Required Test. I am happy mother and cant wait for My other son to be a Bison.

DRE is a great school. I have two kids in this school, the teachers are amazing, the Principal is inspiring. DRE es una excelente escuela, los maestros est n en permanente contacto con los padres, motivan a los ni os. La Directora inspira a los estudiantes y les ense a a dar lo mejor de ellos mismo a diario.

My son is in Kindergarten and it's my first year in DRE. My experience have been awful. The staff is very rude to the parents. I can't wait to change him to another school. Very disappointed.

Es una excelente escuela, me encanta la comunicaci n constante que tienen los maestros con los padres, el PTA es lo m ximo, y creo que es unos de los mejores colegios del Doral. En lo que si creo que deben supervisar en en el tipo de comida que ofrecen el la cafeter a, mis hijos almorzaban alli todos los dias pero me dicen que la comida es muy mala, grasosa y con mal sabor...y mas nunca han vuelto a comer all ,....ojo con esto!

Estoy muy satisfecha con la educaci n que recibe mi hija en esta escuela. Tiene maestros preocupados y las instalaciones son realmente amplias y c modas. Recomiendo a los inmigrantes latinos esta instituci n donde por la gran cantidad de latinoamericanos que la conforman, los ninos no pierden sus raices.

As a 7th grader, I have to say that the teachers are fine. Many times I feel intimidated by them, and I end up stressing over little things. The homework is a good amount, but some teachers do not understand that we have more work assigned from other teachers. I have had to do a big project and we were only given a week to do it, which I found a bit unfair. The National Junior Honor Society meetings have specific dates, but they are cancelled last minute at times. The food is getting better, but is still very unhealthy (although that's the district's fault, I believe). Many teachers assume that I know something already just because I'm in the gifted program, and almost always the whole class is compared to ONE person. Teachers always mention that "we're not in 6th grade anymore; we're not babies." Clearly there is a big change from the steady pace of 6th grade to the stress and intimidation of 7th. Everyday I have been feeling quite uneasy about going to school.

basically school needs more resources ($$$) mostly all their faults in staff, cleanliness, etc. is due to shortage of staff and teachers. Also Miami Dade schools should abide by all rules and school structure as the rest of Florida.....a few of the other items is its over crowed, drop off zone is absolutely horrible, no additional support for children who need a secondary teacher not just what ever extra time the main teacher has available during class, which is absolutely ridiculous.

I am a student at DRE and I will tell you first hand that that school is just horrible. The first year I was there, I was put into an ESOL class because we marked that we spoke Spanish at home (which we do). But, I've lived in Indiana for seven years, so I'm fluent in English. I was also in an advanced program but the administration put me in a REGULAR class a week after the first day of school. Not all the teachers are bad, but they aren't the best. The school food is just...ew. It's full of grease and fat. I thought the goal was to STOP child obesity. The art and music teachers are completely lost. They don't know what's going on at all. The parent pick up/drop off is horrible. It takes up more than three blocks in the morning and afternoon. The school is way too overcrowded. .The National Junior Honor Society supervisor there is completely lost. She made us stay back, miss our buses, and then said that the meeting was cancelled. My mom had to get out of work to come and get my friends and me. If this is what they insist is an 'A' school, Florida schools are doomed. Sincerely, A seventh grader

My daughter goes to Kindergarten here and I have nothing but good things to say about her teacher Ms. Avila. She communicates well with the parents and has done well teaching my daughter. However, there are a few reasons why I scored only 3 stars. First, this school is beyond over crowded. There are just too many students for this school. I don't like that parents are not allowed to take their kids to class. There is zero parking for parents and drop off and pick up is a nightmare (I'm sure many parents will agree with me). Language is a major issue....they have held meetings completely in Spanish. I speak Spanish but this is very offensive since it is not our primary language at home and don't think that any public school meeting should be held in Spanish. Because of the restrictions they have on parents on school premises, it is very difficult to meet other parents and develop relationships. The prinicipal does the bare minimum as far as being known to the parents, but the AP, Ms. Suarez communicates and greets parents very often. Overall, I expect this school to make significant improvements in order to receive higher scores.
