I will say as a former student attending this school, it wasn't as bad as you think. Yes, somethings could be better but I've seen worse. Most teachers swear to be good teachers, for example like my 6-7th grade teachers during the beginning of 2025-2026 and the end of 2024-2025 school year. Although they didn't include family as much as kids would most likely love. I would only recommend due to the fact they students there made everything better.

BEWARE OF THIS SCHOOL. Administration is a joke. Favorites are played. IF YOUR CHILD HAS AN IEP, TAKE HIM/HER SOMEWHERE ELSE. The Special Education program here is a joke. The person in charge has no idea what she is doing. Not even sure how she still has a job at this school because everything she does is incorrect. PARENTS: take advantage of the "Florida Scholarships for Students with Disabilities Program" and take your child with an IEP somewhere else. YOU HAVE THAT RIGHT. Someone from MDCPS district needs to come to this school and do a complete restructuring of the admin staff. I feel sorry for the students and teachers that go here.

Amazing and wonderful teachers who really care how your children improve! In 2022, our 8th grade Algebra students scored above every public school in the county! In 2022, our middle school students are 3rd in the county in Civics! A good number of middle school students are improving by leaps and bound in both reading and math!

Some of the little kids like to play around then it gets serious and they get upset with each other. I have been at this school since 6th grade and I have not seen any fights. My old school had serious fights where students left in handcuffs. That has never happened at this school.

My teachers do differentiated instruction and take the time to teach us.

The administrators take the time to talk and listen to the students. They make is feel valued.

They are big on this. We have a student developed anti-bully pledge that the students signed and we also have ways to anonymously report bullying incidents. Some of the teachers are bullies but not the ones I have this year.

The teachers who I have this year are angels. I love my teachers.

I am in the Robotics Program and I have learned coding and programming. I just applied to a magnet high school and I know that my school and teachers have prepared me for the next step.

The best kept secret. This school is beautiful and it has a lot of positive things going on. We relocated with the Air Force from Germany and we fell in love with the school the first time we visited. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. They have an After-school care program that is really nice and convenient. This is our child's third school, the first in the US and we are very satisfied.

My son was honored at the Student of the Month Breakfast for demonstrating good values. I am proud to see his teachers and principal taking the time to honor and recognize students who demonstrate good values. I really like this.

This school has zero tolerance for bullying. Bullying occurs in every school but sometimes it is not dealt with effectively. At this school, it is dealt with and stopped immediately.

My son has a learning disability but I am satisfied with the work of the SPED team. My son is in inclusion classes and no longer feels "different" from everyone else. He loves it and is doing excellent. Thank you all for doing all you do for my son every day.

Administration and teachers alike have welcomed my daughter with open arms. If ever a need or question, the personnel are highly trained to facilitate. I believe school does the best it can with the students and parents that are presented to them. However, as parents, it is our duty to teach our children to be respectful and go to school to learn. My sincerest gratitude goes out to everyone at Mandarin Lakes!

Teachers are extremely rude they use foul language. Teachers grabs students. They take things that don't belong to them. They treat students like prisoners let other students get bullied doesn't even care about student loosing their items. Take away items from students like school supplies, phones, anything and doesn't give it back. They also yell extremely to much and it's unnecessary. When they call home they make up stuff to get you in more trouble. They treat students like dogs. Parents wonder where students are getting this foul language from and it's from the teachers. Don't send your kid to this school with no supplies teachers will have a fit. They also make problems out the littlest things. And when something big happens hey don't even care.

Parent please when you walk into the office be polite say good morning check your bad attitude at the door. The office staff is underpaid and over worked. The last thing they need is for parents to come in screaming obsanatives at them. The rudest parents I have seen are at Mandarin.

I had no other choice to put her into this school since I had to move back to Homestead to take care of my sick mother, since i brought her into the school at the end of a school year she didn't do as bad as she is doing this year. Now in 6th grade my daughter has a D in every class except Music. I tried talking to teachers and administrators and yet nothing. They have no PTA for parents who actually care and want to be involved. They don't give out agendas you have to buy your own even though all school provide one. Teachers have nothing but attitude and love to give it to you whenever they get a chance. The ladies in the office barely speak english so at times we have a hard time communicating. I'm going into the office tomorrow morning to fill out a TRANSFER FORM thru Miami Dade Region to get her transferred out and bused to a better school

I have twins that attend this school and they are now in 1st grade and have been there since K. My son is an honor roll student and my daughter has a really nice teacher. But i must say that parent who left the comment about kids with disabilities, watch what u say becuz ur child or future child could be one. So if i were u, i would zip my lip. But anyway, i love the school, i love that its K-8 so i don't have to worry about transfering anytime soon.

On day in the office to pay for lunch in the cafeteria I been noticed a lot of student come in late right after 8:35 when school start at 8:20 for elementary and middle school kids at 8:30. I believe the parents need to work out with the students attendance a little bit more The stundent missed a very important instructional time. A concern parent
