Been here all 3 years and about to graduate this school has been nothing but horrible situations and fights most teachers dont care / dont prevent fights / or really put in grades. Over all id say find a different school.

As an 8th grader about to graduate I would not recommend attending this school. They treat the kids there horribly and don’t care much about them. There are fights every other day. and the teachers there do not know how to control the kids, because of that most classes are often out of control and I end up getting headaches almost every day. The administration scream at us through the microphone and blow whistles at us like we’re in prison, and most of the time it’s because we don’t have our feet under the tables. It doesn’t help that some of the administration have very high pitched voices, so It gives me a headache every time they do it. They really don’t care about bullying and sexual assault that much and the people who do it get no punishment. This has happend to several of my friends and the people who assaulted them had no punishment. And the food is awful, when I was in 6th grade I got a peach from the cafeteria and when I opened it up it was rotten and moldy in the inside. I have also walked into kids vaping in the bathroom several times and nothing had been done about it. I do not recommend sending your child here.

My granddaughter was thrown to the ground by a boy a lot bigger than her. Her classes were changed to avoid him. He was suspended. What happens when he comes back to school? Will the facility protect her?

Terrible. This school is absolutely horrendous. Horrible staff, no teaching is being done. I saw the assessment of the school, and it is below average for the state.

My son was bullied, terribly, at the: bus stop, on the bus, and at school. He got his head CRACKED OPEN, while at school. NO ONE called me, until TWO hours later. I had to leave work, and take him to the ER. While there, I filed a police report, and took all of the legal measures. Per the school, they didn't have a recording of who had cracked his head open (LIE!). Nothing EVER got done about it.

This is a good school. Most of the teachers are nice especially Mrs. Beckley and Mrs. Sensinig. They are the best teachers ever. The band elective is very good and you should definitely join it. Do it. Join it now. Play trumpet. Now. I don't think the teachers and principals should blow their whistle so loud all the time, it hurts my ears. But it is a good school and they have lunch labs and have lots of fun events like field trips and field days and socials.

Grandparent of a student: My granddaughter broke both of her wrists and the school and the staff was wonderful with her on working through her homework and going back to school with cast on. They were very understanding and I am glad she is going to that school. Thank you, Sherri February, March, and April 2015

Horrible, horrible school!!! My son went here for 2 years and he was completely miserable., I would NEVER recommend anyone send their child here! NEVER!

This school is about the staff and not so much focused Ono the children,the girls and boys basketball team won championship and they weren't applauded for that and that should say a lot all by it self. Some staff are very nice others can be very rude,that is not setting examples for the children that be hanging out early in the morning or in the late afternoon unsupervised with all of the profanity that goes on.I am so happy I have removed my child from this school!

I love this school. I attended this school for almost three years, but left in the middle of eighth grade due to a move. Some would say that this school is cruddy and needs a lot of improvement. It's wonderful. I now attend another school in another state, but compared to the one I'm going to now, River Springs is a great place. Nice gym, nice lockers, nice buildings, nice bathrooms (most important)... I never realized a good thing until it was gone. I can admit that there are some teachers who may not be the best, but the majority of them are worth going to class for. Mrs. Neusch, Mr. Darby...just to name the best(: An awesome school that I advise you attend.

The school definitely has an issue with bullying. 2 daughters went both pulled out. My youngest is being tormented in class in front of her teacher and they just ignore it completely .My older daughter was spoken to inappropriately(in a sexual manner) by a teacher/ coach and the school was informed and all they did was move him to the boys team. Thank you River Springs...

Hi I am a student and I have Been at this school for 2 years. I am now going into 8th grade. Over all I love all of my teachers and the staff. The only thing I wish they would crack down on is the bullying I have been getting bullied for the past two years. They do try to help but it doesn't always help. But over all I love this school and the staff and when I leave for high school I will miss everyone here.

I have to say I am truly disappointed in this school. There is no communication between the school and parents. If I call the school to express any concern or a complaint, you would think the principal would contact the parent back to address issues but that is not the case. The school year is drawing to a close and I don't believe I have seen the principal one time throughout the school year and I am at the school daily dropping off and picking up my child. It's almost as though the principal intentionally hides and avoids the parents. Any emails to teachers generally go left unanswered by staff. Also, I am utterly disgusted at the amount of bullying and violence that goes on at this school. My child has been hit on numerous occasions. Teachers turn a blind eye to the problem children and, when I report it, I'm constantly told that there is a "no hitting" policy and the school has a bully awareness program. If a student tries to report being hit, the staff has a tendency to refuse to listen and just 'sentence' the students to detention (even the child who was being hit and not hitting others). I don't see any potential for this school without new admin and staff changes first.
