I worked at this school recently and to say the least i think the staff and administrators in the office themselves are a bit of prejudice and discriminatory against certain type of people . I was working here as a staff and they would tell me half truths, exaggerate about my misunderstandings, and make my work life a lot harder. They would tell me the equipment did not work like elevators, computers, and the main office bathroom. While I would see with my own eyes other staffers using these things. They also snicker when I walk into the office. It is in my eyes a judgment filled prejudice school staff I have a worked with.
It’s hard to feel appreciated when you are located on the highest level of the school building and they inform you the elevator is not working when you are watching somebody walk into the elevator or what’s the YouTube wait in the front of the office until
Someone can walk you to restroom as if your not an adult they choose to work with. I have seen the students that have received better treatment than I have.

The school projection is a challenging one that surprises new students entering a high level high school from a mediocre middle school. The teachers prepare them very well for college by developing time management, individual advancement and desire to achieve top level. If student pays attention in class and does diligent work, you will see positive results. Anyone serious in continuing to a college education will benefit from this school. My daughter is a student there. She was challenged during her freshman year as it was quite different from an easy A to an earned A. Today she has the satisfaction of being able to juggle and organize her learned skills to continue advancing and aiming towards her goal in the medical world. Would definitely recommend to new students that are serious about entering a medical school.

I guess this school is good if you don't want to have a personal life. It's impossible to juggle your own wellbeing, personal and social life, and extracurricular activities at this school.

While the classes can be difficult, as long as you put forth the effort, it is so worth it. Working hard now, prepares the students for the future. They can handle anything because they have been taught so many life type experiences such as time management, speaking, presentations, etc that they are more than ready to start college and beyond

Students give their input on our EESAC committee and poll their peers on how homework effects them. They have a voice.

Posted: January 15, 2020

The teachers are open and usually available after school to help students one on one.

One of the things I like most about MAST is how they provide so many opportunities for students to engage in the community. Helps them become a better citizen.

Mrs. Noffo, the principal, is our number one cheerleader. Her door is always open for the students.

If a counselor or teacher is not available to talk right away, Mrs. Noffo will take the time to speak to me. I appreciate that both myself and my child are important.

I am only a freshman going to sophomore year, however, so far it has been great. You have a great support team whether it's the teachers, staff, parents, or friends. The teachers encourage you to question what they just learned. We do alot of group project. When there are conflics in the group projects the teachers always work out a way to make everyone satisfied. Get ready to give it your best.

They ask us for our opinions before setting things in stone.

Posted: August 6, 2019

They try to help everyone. They are friendly.

Posted: August 6, 2019

They encourage us to contribute to society in a positive light.

Posted: August 6, 2019

They encourage leaders to take leaps. They want us to do the right thing even when others are not watching.

Posted: August 6, 2019

They change their learning styles to help every person as we all learn differently.

Posted: August 6, 2019

They do not tolerate bullying. The teachers strongly do not tolerate bullying.

My agency partners with this school and I've never seen brighter students. We deal with many schools and this one is one of if not the best in Miami. Kudos MAST.

The post about the AP World History Teacher is 2 years old. That teacher is no longer teaching at MAST @ Homestead. Opened for only 4 years, the school is in the top 15 in test scores across all subjects.

Mast @ homestead is an okay school, academics wise it's perfect, but when it comes to actually caring about the student as a person rather than a number they fail. I'm a student and I feel looked down upon by the office and administration. The principal is never around and doesn't show up at school events unless a picture is taken. But if you want an academically thriving school this is for you.

MAST Medical is a great school for any hardworking student. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are outstanding. They all truly care about the students and it shows in their effort to make us better. This school, aside from academics, has plenty of activities including dances and spirit weeks to promote school spirit. MAST Medical is the complete package for any student that is looking to be academically challenged and spirited at the same time. I'd definitely recommend this school!
