Small school, big family! I have seen students thrive throughout the years here, and now, as a parent, I can experience it first hand on my child. The love and support kids receive here is real. Teachers challenge students to become their best, and staff members support their growth along the way. What I love the most about Pinecrest is that my child is in a safe environment, and that I can keep an open communication with the school about his needs. I have had both of my children attend Pinecrest. We have been a part of the Pinecrest school for over 10 years and I have never been happier. My son attended the school beginning in 3rd grade. In his previous school he was barely on grade level, but after just one year in Pinecrest his grades improved so much and he remained an A/B honor roll student through graduating 8th grade. Pinecrest helped to truly prepare him for high school and even now in college. He also still remains close with his former teachers and knows he is cared about. Some of his teachers even attended his high school graduation 3 years ago.
My daughter has attended the school since kindergarten and though she does struggle academically, her teachers have given her constant support (academically and emotionally) that she needs. Her teachers always push her to do her best and reminds her everyday how smart she is and helps to build her confidence.
Yes Pinecrest is a small school, but that is one of the things that is so great about it. The students here are not just a number, all the faculty and staff and teachers know each student by name and builds strong and wonderful relationships with them. Ive never seen any student not excited to go to school in the morning.
Pinecrest is like a family and the care, support, and kindness for the families that attend is what sets them apart from every other school.
The administration at Pinecrest is one of the best Ive ever seen. The Principal, Mrs. Lumpuy builds all the students up, celebrates their wins with them and collaborates with students and parents when they need extra support in academics. She makes the time for any parent who has concerns and follows through with plans for student success.
This school is a rare gem and you will be hard pressed to find another school that puts their students first, cares for them like they are their own children, and pushes them to reach for the stars because they know they can. Having your student attend this school will be the best decision you ever make for your child and they will be set for life and will have continued support even after they graduate.

I have three children, two of whom graduated from Pinecrest, and I currently have one child in middle school there. I can confidently say that Pinecrest has done an exceptional job preparing my children for success. The strong academic foundation and high expectations they experienced at Pinecrest made their transition to high school much smoother and more manageable.

What sets this school apart is its commitment to challenging students to become the best versions of themselves from an early age. The teachers and staff genuinely care about each childs growth, both academically and personally.

Pinecrest is also a very family-oriented school. Because of its smaller size, the staff is able to build meaningful relationships with students and families, ensuring that each child receives the attention, guidance, and support they need. In a system where students can sometimes feel like just a number, Pinecrest makes every child feel seen, valued, and supported.

Most importantly, my children absolutely loved their experience here. We are grateful for the positive impact this school has had on their lives and would highly recommend it to any family seeking a nurturing, challenging, and supportive educational environment.

This has undoubtedly been the worst decision and experience my son and I have ever had with a school.
Before enrolling my son, I clearly informed the administration that he had been diagnosed with ADHD. They assured me that they had support plans and accommodations in place to assist students with his specific needs. However, throughout the entire school year, no real support of any kind was ever implemented. Instead of receiving help, I constantly received phone calls complaining about his behavior.
During one of these calls, the principal Ms. Lumpuy was even present; she spoke to me in an inappropriate manner and told me that if my son did not change his behavior, he would be expelled. I subsequently had a meeting with her, and her attitude was rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking in empathy.
When I requested information regarding a 504 Plan or an IEP so that my son could receive the services he needed, I was informed that the school did not offer those programs. As a mother, I felt that my son's needs were being ignored right from the start.
Furthermore, my son faced discrimination from certain teachers and members of the administration. He was excluded from extracurricular activities and treated differently due to the difficulties associated with his condition.
I could recount many more negative experiences that my son who was barely 7 years old at the time endured during just a single school year at this institution. No child should ever feel rejected, excluded, or misunderstood in a place that is supposed to support them and help them grow.
Given everything we went through, I do not recommend this school whatsoever. My experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope that other families will conduct thorough research before making the decision to enroll their children here

This is an A+ school only because they push out students that effect the school overall grade. The principal Deseray Lumpuy will not care what your opinion is and will make your child repeat multiple grades until you make a decent enough grade to not make her scores look bad. My daughter attended this school for 5 years struggling year to year with an IEP and let me just say they are far from following guidelines. The principal tried to force me to sign retaining documents and when I refused to sign until I had a second professional opinion she yelled in front of the school that my daughter will be retained regardless. She is very unprofessional and puts your business out there. I thought there was a student confidentiality rule but she clearly doesnt care. The school district really needs to look into this and they should definitely not be receiving IEP funds when they dont do their job.

If you're considering this school based on its so-called 5-star reviews, think again. Most of the glowing comments seem bought or fakebecause what actually happens inside these walls tells a very different story.

The staff here clearly lack the training or patience to handle children properly. Instead of nurturing growth, they use punishment as their first option. Kids are regularly excluded from P.E. just for missing one assignment, which is not only discouraging but also harmful to their development.

The school is obsessed with grades and reputation. It feels like they only care about what looks good on papernot what actually benefits the students. Their top priority seems to be maintaining their ratings, not creating a supportive environment.

And the way they hand out detentions? Its like theyre passing out candy. Minor issues that could easily be resolved with a conversation are turned into disciplinary actions, creating a toxic and fear-based culture.

This is not the place for any child who needs encouragement, patience, or proper emotional support. Do your researchbeyond the suspiciously perfect reviews.

Este Colegio es malisimo , puede tener 10 puntos epero a los nimos les gritan y los someten. Solo se preocupan por el puntaje criando ninos atemorizados ya que los castigan y hostigan si no tiene buen nivel o hacen las tareas que son muchisinams. La directora y otros del personal grita y amenaza a los ninos todo el tiempo

This is an amazing school. My child began with them in Kindergarten and it has made him love school. He even still has a good relationship with his Kinder teacher, Ms Cruz. The school is small and has a good family feel which really helps emotionally. Also, unlike many schools today, they actually care about Academic Work and academic success, which is what school is about. I actually find it funny that some parents complain about the homework. Yes it is true, they give lots of homework but that is exactly what makes a great school. And it is no wonder they perform far better than the district and state in standardized tests.
I understand that the majority of families and teachers in the school are Hispanic and sometimes it makes some of the other cultures feel left out in casual conversations at events. But that should not be a major problem.
By the way this is not a paid review like some other reviewer thinks

The 5 star reviews here are fake or bought, they do give too much homework basically offloading the teacher's work on the parents, this is a small school and they lack resources to pay proper attention to all students.

The teachers lack experience and some are unprofessional and can't handle children and be careful since the staff and teachers take everything personal and will offload their attitude on your child.

High risk of your child to get bullied given the lack of proper experience of the teacher's.

They don't got an auditorium nor the facilities needed to keep students on PE out of the 100 degree heat.

Read the other low star reviews to confirm the reality. This school is a lawsuit away from disappearing basically.

This a an A rated school and my child has attended this school since K and the family feel you get at this school and communication with staff and students alike, they ensure to cater to your childrens social emotional needs, they keep the grounds safe and the err is a no tolerance bullying rule. I am glad to have this K-8 school in our community Proud Pinecrest Mama!!

This school only cares about good grades. The students that dont meet the standards are left without PE class, they are given no moment of break at all, Every child need a break to breath and distress during the school day. They sent homework always Including homework packets for thanksgiving, christmas and summer. If you dont turn in the summer packet you start the year with you first 0.
Is extremely frustrating cause they are not just ruining rest for the children well deserved They also ruining the only time of vacation for us parents with this insane amount of homework. The school does not count with a counselor at the moment. Is evident that they care more about maintaining his reputation as a A school than the emotional well being of the students. In a positive note, since the school is small problems like bullying or fights are pretty uncommon and the environment feel safe. One of my child start showing anxiety do to school stress.
