It took me 4 days just to sign my daughter up for school! The front office staff were anything beside helpful! We came in Thursday looking to transfer my child ,only to get told to come back tomorrow (FRIDAY)when I filled out the paper work. I came back Friday morning with all my correct paper work just to be told to call the school Monday after 3 pm for her schedule Â… to which I responded so she not going to be able to start until Monday ? She said correct our Admin is out from Thursday-Friday Â… Yesterday was Monday I called at 3:15 and of course NO ONE answer! This morning I called at 8:15 am to be told my daughter can get drop off at 9:15 and wait for schedule to be made for her!!! FURIOUS WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!! I ask the front office IÂ’m confused itÂ’s been 4 days and my daughter still doesnÂ’t have a schedule ! What does your admin do all day?! I ask to speak to a principal or guidance counselor and was told there wasnÂ’t anyone there that can help me because it was only 8:15 in the morning needless to say I snap my response was of course there isnÂ’t anyone there and proceed to hang up!!!! This is just day one so I can only imagine the school year!!! Hillsborough county school board needs to do better !!! All the review are horrible !! When will they take action?

This school sucks. First off, the racism at this school is overbearing and usually goes under the radar by the teachers and administrators you could be called a slur at lunch for just not letting a kid steal a portion of your lunch. If you want them to get in trouble for this then boo Hoo because no one honestly cares especially if they're one of the administrator's favorites, they would never get in trouble. Second all the threats and violence one day there was so many fights not only the police had to be called but we had to have all grades leave the period at sperate times although that was in 6th grade right now, I'm in 8th so maybe it got better? no. Just this year we had a kid set the U building on fire then the other buildings did not evacuate like all the drills said we should then 9 fights broke out 9!!! Thirdly most teachers don't care whatsoever on what kids are doing they could be talking about doing drugs or bombing the school, but no one cares at all. There is a couple good teachers in each grade although sometimes teachers will have charges against them. In conclusion don't go to this school.

As a student attending this school, I can say with certainty that it is an incredibly racist and unprofessional environment. There are constant fights between students, and the atmosphere is toxic and violent. It is a school where bathroom fires and other destructive acts are a regular occurrence, and instead of addressing these issues, the teachers and staff seem to turn a blind eye.

The lack of care and concern from the teachers is deafening. It is like attending an alternative school, where the focus is not on education but rather on survival. The teachers seem more interested in getting through the day and collecting a paycheck than actually teaching and guiding students.

What is even more disturbing is the existence of an Instagram page solely dedicated to fights that occur within the school, called Eisenhower Fights. This page showcases the school's violent culture and further perpetuates the harmful and negative behavior. It is unacceptable that the school administration is aware of this page but has not taken any action. It further highlights the lack of professionalism and indifference towards the well-being of students.

But beyond the physical violence, the school's racism is also deeply ingrained. There have been numerous instances where students of color have been unfairly targeted and punished, while their white counterparts get away with similar or even worse behavior. It is a clear indication of the systemic racism that exists within the school.

Attending this school has been a nightmare, to say the least. It is a place where students do not feel safe, and learning takes a backseat to survival. The school's racist and unprofessional environment not only affects the students but also creates a toxic workplace for teachers and staff.

It is high time for the school to take proactive measures to address these issues and create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. The administration needs to be held accountable for their lack of action and put in place concrete steps to combat racism, violence, and unprofessionalism. No student should have to endure such a toxic and damaging environment in their educational institution.

This school does not listen to parents. When I mentioned to the counselor that the teachers were not following my child's disability plan, they suggested that my child attend a different school. My child's teachers either quit or are fired randomly, leaving them to substitutes that do not seem to care or know how to teach. Bullying and racism (Shame on the parents for continuing to encourage this!) is horrible here, and my child has told me that there are a lot of kids that are smoking and doing drugs in the hallways and bathrooms and several fights, making this school unsafe for my child. The teachers send no homework home, which could be a plus, but there is nothing to help re-enforce what the kids are learning at school, and there are no assignments returned, so it is difficult to determine how my child is struggling. The online system is not updated timely, which makes it difficult for parents to determine whether their child is on track. If you are able to get your child into a different school, you should.

if i were smart i would think twice of going here because when you get bullied and the teacher says it will end, don't get happy because they'll distract you from the fact that they care less. The principal will say that bullying will end before it starts when really it won't. The "guidelines" they say that are put through aren't even. i would highly pick virtual school over this school

Posted: April 10, 2017

Was one of my favorite schools. I learned more the 2 yrs. I was there than I ever had from any school. Loved the teachers. They act like they were just like me. They didn't act like they were better than anyone else and was always eager to hell when needed and didn't complain about it.

I think this school is great, the teachers are great my kids are doing well in this school, I have not had a problem in this school
The staff show concern forbidden there students which I like, they are on top of things.

Posted: November 18, 2015

Without them, then what? These teachers are great! They go beyond there call of duty.

Posted: November 18, 2015

It's bad enough these kids are getting hammered with test all the time then homework it's just overwhelming for these kids, they are stressed out. It's to much for them, they need a break.

This School has come along way. I have seen this school change for the better.

My child is a 6 grader here at Eisenhower Middle School she is enrolled in advance classes she just got her report card and got Honors. This not only tells me my daughter is doing her job as a student but it also tells me the teachers are doing there job as teachers. Whenever my daughter needs help these teacher help her right away without an issue, They are so supported and understanding, I appreciate all they do. This is a great school and great staff. Thank you for all you do. I have no complaints or concerns, my son just left this school and is now in 9th grade and still comes back to volunteer with the teachers, he loves this school it has so much to offer. Great sports, lots of activities awesome PTSA very involved school. I recommend this school to anyone looking for a middle school a transfer, or choice . No regrets

My daughter went to Eisenhower for 7th and 8th grades. She has blossomed to be self-assured individual. She has made great friends that she has been keeping in touch with even after we have left the state. The teachers have been very helpful and approachable, and on several instances, I have proven her counselors to have gotten out of their way to address "my" issues. It is my personal belief that as parents, it is our responsibility to be pro-active in our children's education. The teachers and staff of any organization are people, too. Establish a rapport with them at the start, contact them for any concerns throughout the school year, and coordinate with them all plans towards your child's educational plans. These little things can surely enhance our children's learning experience. After all, our children come first.

Posted: January 11, 2015

First, the good news: Many of the teachers are wonderful and caring. But the administration is the worst I've encountered during my child's nearly complete journey through Hillsborough County's K-12 system. I don't think the Eisenhower administration ever got a schedule straight, meaning my child started off behind the eight-ball due to delays in getting her into the appropriate classes -- every semester. This sort of thing is understandable if it happens once or twice, but it was the rule rather than the exception at Eisenhower. The guidance counselor I dealt with was uniformly awful. She was clearly more concerned with covering her own butt rather than trying to resolve bullying incidents or figure out what was going on among students on campus. Yes, it's a difficult job, but there's no excuse for doing it poorly. My kid ended up going outside our district to high school, and while that experience hasn't been perfect, it has been an incredible improvement over Eisenhower. If I had it to do over again, I would never send my child to Eisenhower. I feel fortunate that it didn't completely wreck her education rather than just give us obstacles to overcome.

Worst school you could send a kid to. This school is a trap. Don't let your child fall into it like my parents did. This school is hostile with an unconcerned staff. I attended this school a few years back and if its anything like I can remember you'll be sure to find fights, bullying, pregnant girls, drama, rude teachers and "8th graders" who look like they could be men... hmmm. This is the worst school I had ever been to in my life so I am warning you. Don't let your kids go through this BS, send them to Barrington. PLEASE, close this school down.

Hi I Like This School I Am In 8 Grade And It Is Good School . I Think It Should Have More Electivs But It Is Great School I Like It A Lo

Posted: September 8, 2014

There is a lot of bad verbiage in here about this school. I debated not sending my daughter here. After talking with other children in the school, I decided to give it a shot. My daughter likes it and there are no issues. She did have one brush with angry kids, I told her to pick her friends and stay in the right crowd. She has and this is her last year there. She is doing very well. Her teachers were hit or miss. Most of them were very easy to contact and discuss her academics. This year they are on the ball and very eager to assist her before moving to high school. I would not give a bad rating to this school as she is learning and thriving. Shame on you parents who put in bad reviews! GET INVOLVED!!! We did and it made the difference. Quit being a complainer and be a doer to assist our young minds. Your kids will grow up thinking school is for babysitting just as you do. I am involved and people know me at that school because I care. I will give this school four stars as no school in the county is five stars, sorry, just a realist!

Posted: April 21, 2014

This is a terrible choice for a school. Some teachers may seem nice at first, but end up being rude and inconsiderate. The kids there are out of control. If you want your child to learn each and every curse word in the english language (and sometimes other languages), send them there. I have taken one of the electives there and found that we did nothing but play on computers and build bottle rockets the entire year. This school is full of vulgarity and obscenity.

Posted: March 28, 2014

Excellent staff and teachers. Lot of certain low income kids got chip on shoulders, which means swearing and fights but not as much as the other middle schools nearby. Overall a much improved school with most parents not giving a darn or getting involved. Great avid program and Njhs program. . The best m a in south county.

Eisenhower has made great strides over the past 4 years and i've seen it grow to a respectable school ... better than most middle schools in the county! unfortunately some people don't live in the real world. i've seen first hand more bullying & foul language at rodger's middle school & a increased closeness of the student body at EMS! This is a fantastic school if your child wants an education & some fun along the way! the teachers are top notch and the Principle a winner ... touting a record number of Jr Honor Society winners along the way! unfortunately there is a lack of Parent participation being alot of lower middle class & welfare families send kids here ... and they do not support thier own kids or the school they go to! that cannot be changed! but those that do make up for it with their enthusiasm! We cannot sell out kids out. and the staff at EMS is working as hard as possible to give these kids the chance thier parents won't! the kids are strong and with the teachers & strong Principle support will win in the end! thanks EMS for being a real wonderful school!!!

I would think twice about sending your child to this school. My daughter only attend this school for about a month and I pulled her out immediately because of the constant bullying. Students are out of control. The teachers are no better they are rude and nasty and are no help when it comes to bullied students. This is not a safe school for your child!! My daughter is now home schooled and is enrolled in Florida Virtual. Florida Virtual is giving her the proper education and attention that Eisenhower Middle school was not giving her. I would never recommend this school to anyone. This is not a school you want your child to attend.

I am an eighth grader at Eisenhower Middle School. I have gone to this school for 3 years. First, would like to point out that in almost every school that a child goes to there will be bullying. No matter what you try to do there will always be that one kid that picks on others. It is the same way in the adult world, nobody can deny that. Second, yes there are fights in the school, but that is changing because we got a new principal. She is good at what she does. She is both kind and understanding. For example if some one were to get dress code she explains why they got dress code so they know what not to do.Third, some of the teachers are bad and some are good. You most likely find that true in almost any school. Fourth, yes the parent involvement WAS low and some of the staff WAS rude. This year there is now a lot more parent involvement and less rude people working in the front office because, once again, the new principal is changing the school and making it better. I gave this school a three because no school if perfect, especially this school, but it is still a good school. Thank you for reading this comment and I hope it helps you decision. - Submitted by a student

This school is a joke. I was supposed to be moving out of state and didn't think about school choice but when things changed and the school year approached I had no choice. Daily my daughter comes home and talks about someone bullying teachers are rude and they care more about dress code then educating my child. She's in all advanced honors classes and get good grades, but they would rather worry about what she is warring then giving her a decide education. On many occasion I have to teachers daughter vs. the teachers doing there job. She will not be goi g back to school there next year. Horrible school!

Posted: August 15, 2012

I do not know why people are making bad reviews about a Great school. This school is one of the best school's to put your child in. The teachers Teach you well. I'm an upcoming Eighth grader and this school is wonderful. The teachers know what they are doing and I am a straight A student there. Every school has fights so It is normal. I have been there since 6th grade and the total amount of fights I've seen were about 3. And they weren't even that bad. It's just that the people who want to learn come to learn not to fight or be troublemakers. All I'm saying is that Stop saying stuff about this school that is not even true. If you don't wanna go to the school, that is your buisness

Unsafe school: We moved during the school year and had no "choice". My son s whole attitude has changed. The school has fights multiple times daily, lock downs with no parent notification. It looks like a prison from the outside, high fences and armed guards, students in handcuffs (not exaggerating). The office staff is rude and zero parent involvement or communication. My son is a straight A student and a smaller kid. He started wearing a hoody over his head every day. When I asked him why, he said he was trying to disappear . In my opinion he has lost a year of education here. He will not be back next year if I have to home school him. If education and safety matter to you, do not let your kids attend this school. from a concerned father.

this is very unsafe school my child complains everyday about bulling at the schooll and FIGHTS

I Am really dis-pleased with this school. As a student there i bleve the school should have more electeves and teachers. i bleave that you SHOUDN'T have to sign out a sheet to talk to the counsilor. For instence, what if someone was being picked on and needed help right away. You need help then and not a month later! I can not wait untill this school year is over so i can be in safer environment then this school. I am not just saying this for my health, I am saying it because if you were to ask any student in the school what they think, they would reply with the same retort. This school is the WORST school i have ever been to in my life. I hope that you see this in a way to help and not to be rude in any way. I am a very nice person and only want whats best for the students at Eisenhower. Please get back at me with the thoughts you have.
