Im very happy that both of my daughters attend Shelton, one in Pre-K 3 and the other in 2nd grade. The school has a warm, welcoming community, and one of the things I appreciate most is how they incorporate the Catholic faith into everyday learning. The values they teach are very important to our family, and I truly like the way they pass them on to my daughters in a natural and meaningful way. Ive seen great growth in both of them, not only academically but also in their character. Overall, it has been a wonderful experience for our family.

As both an employee and a parent at Shelton Academy, I can confidently say this is a truly beautiful school. The community is warm, welcoming, and dedicated to providing the very best for each child. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to ensure students feel supported, challenged, and valued every day.
From a parents perspective, I see how much my children love coming to school and how they are growing not only academically but also in character and confidence. From an employees perspective, I witness firsthand the professionalism, care, and commitment that make Shelton Academy such a special place.
I am grateful to be part of a school that feels like family and that prioritizes excellence in education while fostering a nurturing environment.

From the moment we began the admissions process at Shelton Academy, everything was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. The tour was informative and welcoming, and Maritza Ballarales provided impeccable serviceshe was knowledgeable, kind, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire process.
The school offers a very complete academic and religious program that truly reflects its Catholic values while also preparing students for academic excellence. The infrastructure is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and the safety measures in place gave us great peace of mind.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Shelton Academy to any family looking for a Catholic school in Miami that serves students from PK through high school. Its a place where children can grow intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally in a nurturing and secure environment.

For the tuition this school charges, you'd expect a personalized, supportive environment with close oversight of student progress. Instead, you get the opposite. I wish we never enrolled our kid in this school. 2 years that will remain as a permanent 'stain' on their academic path.
The school is now, there are no clubs, no extracurriculars, and no sense of community. Teachers are unresponsive, grading is harsh and inconsistent, and leadership seems more interested in fundraising than education. Parents are left completely in the dark no updates, no communication, no partnership and level of support you would expect from a private school
This school is all cost and no value. Look elsewhere.

We are truly grateful to have found this Catholic school in Doral. From the very first day, we were welcomed with open arms, and it has been a blessing to be part of such a warm, united, and faith-filled community.
The environment feels like a big familyteachers, staff, and parents all work together to create a space where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to do their best. Along with excellent academics, our children are growing with a strong foundation in faith and values that will stay with them for life.
I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking not only for quality education but also for a community that genuinely cares about the spiritual, emotional, and academic well-being of every student.

Shelton Academy in Doral is truly an exceptional private school that comes with the highest recommendations from its community. It's a place where academic rigor is seamlessly integrated with strong values, fostering well-rounded individuals prepared for both college and life.
One of the most frequently praised aspects of Shelton Academy is its dedicated and passionate teaching staff. Parents consistently highlight the teachers' genuine care and commitment to each student's success, both academically and personally. They go above and beyond, offering personalized guidance and even setting up extra practices for students who want to excel in specific areas, like archery, as one testimonial noted. This level of individualized attention creates a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to discover, nurture, and maximize their God-given talents.
Shelton Academy also emphasizes the development of character and spiritual growth. The integration of Christian values is evident in every aspect of student life, and parents appreciate that the school focuses on forming "good, kind, and responsible human beings" in addition to academic excellence.I personally would highly recommended for families seeking a private school that offers:
Exceptional and caring teachers
Rigorous college-preparatory academics
Strong emphasis on character and spiritual development
A wide array of enriching extracurricular activities
A supportive and close-knit community

I know Shelton Academy from two perspectives: as a mother and as a teacher. I am so happy to see my daughter thrive and I cant imagine a better school for her. Shelton may not be the ideal choice for every family. If you are looking for a school with lots of clubs, sports, etc., you may be disappointed. But if you prioritize a safe, family-friendly, Catholic environment where each child has a mentor who truly cares about their mentees, you will feel like Shelton is an extension of your home.

In my experience with my daughter, I can say that she has been happy and very well treated for the past five years at this school. She has learned a lot, and most importantly, she has received a religious education that strengthens her beliefs and family values. It is a school where people work from the heart, starting with the area directors, such as the admissions department, who make an effort to open doors for families seeking a safe environment with moral values. The administrative department and the staff in general are very polite and charismatic

Shelton Academy has been an incredible journey for our family. My son started in kindergarten and graduated from Shelton, and to this day he proudly calls it his second home. The memories he carries of his teachers and mentors are filled with love, support, and guidance. The academic level is truly outstandinghe was accepted into all the colleges he applied to, a testament to the schools preparation and high standards. Communication with the administration has always been clear and consistent, and the level of family involvement is impressivewell-organized, active, and welcoming. We are so grateful for the nurturing and excellence Shelton provided throughout the years. Highly recommend!

The communication with teachers is excellent; they are always approachable and genuinely care about student's progress. The schools instills strong Catholic values, blending academic growth with spiritual development, which is very important for us. The sense of community among families and dedication to Fatih and family values make Shelton a wonderful place for children to learn and grow. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

Horrible school, when I enrolled my daughter I thought I had made the right choice, unfortunately a huge and wrong disappointment. The teachers are not bilingual and do not have the required training to teach. Many of the teachers have not taught a class of students before. They have no idea or experience in teaching. Most do not even speak English correctly. The children do not advance from one year to the next. It is very sad but true. We have been in school for more than 6 weeks and the students are still missing their books. The books for the 2024-2025 school year never arrived on time. Very important is that the children did not have books since the beginning of the year and we are going for the seventh week of classes and there are still some who are missing their books to be able to learn and study. At the same time they are tested weekly. There are no rules, nor are children taught empathy for others. A lot is paid for such a poor service. Verbal and physical abuse between children is brutal on a daily basis. Bullying is horrendous on a daily basis and is frequent. Since there are no rules there are no set consequences. There is no protection for your daughters or sons. The administration is focused on more $$$$ to grow the school even if it is in a bad way. Not everything that glitters is gold. They are lying to parents with the Mentoring program that really does not exist, it is a sales pitch, so parents fall into the trap

The school has been a complete deception what you see in the tour is not what you get all the amazing activities are after school activities that you have to pay for. Theyre not a part of your tuition theres major disorganization between the admin, staff, teachers and parents they have a horrible communication And theyre not holding up to standards . There are good amount of students that need to go to ESOL classes and instead are put in mainstream doing so makes the student feel like theyre drowning and the students who dont need the extra assistance arent able to be challenged. Theres no differentiation. This creates a huge educational gap, Their learning gap is atrocious! During the tour, they will talk about IEPs. Ignore all of it. Theres no support for any student that needs IEP assistance regardless of what that assistance might look like extra time whatever the case might be, do not be fooled! The students Ive seen are averaging a year behind, and theyre on honor roll. Teachers are understaffed and overworked sometimes filling two classes in one classroom and unsupervised! During the tour of the school, youll see them brag about all the extracurricular activities and sports that are available to ALL the children. Be very cautious and ask lots of questions because one theres not enough teachers so they dont have many of these extracurricular activities available during school they have room and supplies thats it! dont be surprised if you find yourself having to pay for art and music and any other kind of sport that your child wants to be in as an afterschool expense because theyll have to take that after school. To spend near $20,000 a year for school for bad education and no growth, But to spend that money and also not have any more than two options for sports Thats when my eyes opened up to realize they will nickel and dime every bit of the day. Small example but shows the difference if my student pays for lunch with their Apple Pay lunch is $10 if student pays for the same exact lunch through school payment it is six dollars. As disappointing as a school is, I am glad I made this mistake early , classes, that you do, or dont take in high school, carry a heavyweight when looking into colleges. Well have to work hard to make up for this year we completely lost! LOST a yr and paid for it!

The worst experience I´ve lived in this school. The last year was good but chaotic. This year has been a disaster. My children don´t learn anything, they promise you things that they don´t fulfill or they do the opposite. The best teachers are leaving. The new administration is a terrible mess. They treat your children like merchandise, if they are "defective" they discard them with lies. They only care about money and use religion to wash away their lousy attitudes. The staff in general is very friendly but they have changed a lot in the last few months.

This school doesnt have any good standards academically and morality speaking. They use the religious in an old-fashion way, they are totally the opposite way to expand a mind of any kid. This is not only my vision a lot of families and very good teachers left the school this year.

Admin and staff is extremely rude and condescending. They will run inside the building at 8:14am so that a late $5 fee applies if you drop off your child at 8:15am. My kid was in preK and they told me they were trying to instill discipline and punctuality from a young age more like they were ready to take your money from all sides possible ! and if not straight from your bank they will charge you another monthly fee if you give them a credit card. Offensive registration fees. Go to better schools all over Doral. These crooks pretend to be a Catholic school, with a made-up Anglo name but is just a money extraction business geared to Doral families who feel their kids need be sheltered as if they lived in Venezuela still.

Once you are in they will charge you every time they get without disclosing the fees in advance and will inundate you with endless rules, no flexibility or understanding in anything. All they care about is money. Stay away.

TOTALMENTE!

Academically fitted for pourpose. None of the advertisement, that they sell when you visit the firts time, is true. All the sport activities as well as the extracurricular activities are not part of the regular school enrollment, if you dont attend the extracurricular activities, you will not be part of the school team. The lunch is terrible, with bad quality food even serving rotten food. they dont have bus for transport. All the shows are around 4 or five kids that are the favorites because their affilation with the Board of directors, generating frustration on other kids with way more talent. They dont have a Informatic program, don't be fooled by the view of a classroom full of Apple Computers, the students don't have acces to them. You will pay for every little event that they come across, from bringing the food for selling in special events or paying for aT-shirt for appearing backstage in the shows that your kid is not part of. My kid was happy there till she started to become aware of the situation. For Us as parent had been 2 years of frustration. Save your experience and look for better place.

Lot of homework, the student is overwhelmed with the homework as well as with activities that need to be performed during class, but the teachers send it home anyway.
Posted: March 23, 2019
Some of the teachers are Great, specially Maths and English. The others are below average. The school don't have an efective way to deal with the teachers allowing them to much power without being supervised or corrected
Posted: March 23, 2019
Posted: March 23, 2019
Both the Director and the Dean don't care about the students. They dont have any control over the teachers or other important things like quality of the Lunch for the students
Posted: March 23, 2019

El bullying between the students is under control but the teachers bullying is overwhelming. They have arrogant teachers challenging the students to bring their parent for complain and telling them that even if all the parent complains, they will not adrees the complais. They even have a big problem with the religious tolerance, the teachers like to talk too much against Muslins.

Shelton Academy has allowed me to grow not only as a student but as a person. I am currently in high school and I have a job. I as a person have grown to be more responsible and open minded. The staff is very kind and everyone makes you feel as if you were at home. So, to answer this question, yes, I strongly agree that the school has taught me integrity, compassion, and respect.
Posted: December 15, 2018
The school directors are always very supportive. They know every child by name. Even the owners walk around the halls to help us feel welcome.
Posted: December 15, 2018
Yes, the teachers and staff are dedicated to what they do. If I did not understand a concept, my teachers would go above and beyond to aid me in comprehending it. Shelton does not discriminate students, so there are students with special needs, but they are always accompanied by teacher aids or therapists. This does not impede students from learning or comprehending the curriculum AT ALL. Actually, we are taught that when anyone needs a hand, regardless if it is a younger student, a special needs student, or anyone who is in need of assistance, we should always be kind and aid them.

This school allows students to take a class that is intertwined in the curriculum to prevent bullying. All cases are personally handled by staff effectively.

I attended Shelton Academy for the majority of my academic career. I am currently attending one of the most prestigious high schools in my area. I felt completely prepared both academically and socially. I was given the tools to be confident and to reach my goals effectively. The education provided was EXCELLENT! I am top of my class and I would not be able to have reached this achievement without the stellar teachers Shelton Academy has to offer. The school allows for children to be innovative. Shelton is an AMAZING school, and I, as a student who graduated from there, completely recommend it to any and all parents who are looking for a school for their children. My Shelton family will forever be in my heart!

The school gives a perfect amount of homework. I, as a student there, completely grasped every subject that was introduced to me during class. The teachers never gave an extreme amount of homework and I was always had it done in time to go to bed early and do my extracurricular activities.

The teachers were AMAZING! Most of my academic career was spent at Shelton Academy, and I so far I have felt completely prepared in high school. The teachers used innovative techniques and allowed us to be creative during class. Additionally, the teachers shared personal anecdotes that allowed me to remember certain concepts for years. I had never had a bad experience with any of the teachers. Quite the contrary, even after I graduated, my teachers would keep up with me to see how I was doing. I still go quite frequently to visit them and they still welcome me with open arms.

Extremely disappointing. The school is not what they claim to be.
Posted: October 8, 2018
The school follows the same guidelines from public schools, which translates to giving hours worth of homework on a daily basis of subjects that the teacher could not or did not have the time to discuss and teach effectively during school hours. They need to satisfy the requirements of the department of education thanks to the scholarships that they accept at their school. They are certainly NOT truthful about getting inspired or trying to emulate a Reggio Emilia educational approach.
Posted: October 8, 2018
In our experience, the teachers are overwhelmed with having to serve special-ed students (they have a ratio of special-ed students in all grades which they have to prioritize on. Meanwhile, the teachers are not certified to serve children with special needs. Furthermore, the school claims to only accept children who do not require special assistance) while mostly mistreating regular or higher achieving students.
Posted: October 8, 2018
Based on our experience, the school lacks each of the adjectives described above from some teachers and individuals from the school administration.
Posted: October 8, 2018
The dean of the school (as of 2018) is the most unethical, unprofessional and ineffective leader in existence. She is a hypocrite and commits perjury to achieve her goals.
Posted: October 8, 2018
They do not support the students equally. The educational environment is extremely inadequate.
Posted: October 8, 2018
They have their favorites, therefore, they will allow bullies to reign.

My daughter's years spent at Shelton Academy were ages 5-7, kindergarten through 2nd grade. When she woke up in the mornings, she couldn't wait to go to school. Shelton teachers and staff made her learning experience there a parents dream come true. There was never a dull moment at Shelton. Shelton Academy was a family filled atmosphere. My daughter met some of her best friends there. Not only did Shelton offer great academics but athletics as well. The aquatics and tennis courts are spectacular. Swimming once a week was an added bonus in the curriculum. The field trips were phenomenal learning trips for my daughter. She has always been a bright child and very inquisitive. Shelton Academy just added on to her creativity and high demand to learn. I could not have chose a better school for her early learning developments. Although we wish we could have kept her there, my 5 year old son and my 7 year old step son would not have been able to benefit due to other financial obligations.

Our experience at Shelton Academy has been amazing. My kids are learning with hands on experiences and with an eduction beyond the notebooks.
The marine biology program is absolutely great. They don't only get knowledge in the lab at school, but the experience of going to the sea and learn hands on, is great.
We feel very blessed to have our kids attending Shelton. Their education is great and the ethics and values that our kids are learning everyday are the a big part of the ir program.
At Shelton they get to learn, play and do sports. Their facilities are amazing, and we trulls feel it's the best place!

My experience at Shelton has been amazing, but more importantly is the amazing education that my child is receiving at Shelton Academy. This school follows a very hands on approach to teaching, the project base learning is incredible, the marine biology program is out of this world,
the curriculum is advancing the students to incredible results in state test, the special area classes reach the students in many levels of the arts, but most importantly the love and dedication of the teachers, administrators and staff is what makes Shelton outshine all the rest. We are a family.
Posted: June 20, 2017
The homework is very minimal and useful for it is directly related to test preparation.
Posted: June 20, 2017
The teachers are well invested in preparing the students, teach with love and dedication, very hand on, project lessons, and who compassion and love for the students.

This area is very strong at Shelton, every grade receives ethics and values elective, the school is very big in giving back to the community, the students volunteer in many different programs, and respect to one another and the community is tangible when you walk the school.
Posted: June 20, 2017
The administration is very hands on, cares about the families and the students, is always bringing new programs and activities to the school, and are concerned about making the program to reach the child in all areas.

Shelton is an all inclusive school and the learning differences of the students are embraced by the staff, students, and faculty. The students learn how to treat kids that are different in a loving and caring manner.

The school has a year round anti-bulling program that goes hand in hand with the ethics and values class. Excellent!

My children have attended Shelton Academy for the past 6 years. This school has been like a second home to them. The education, attention, care, and love that they receive everyday at Shelton I guarantee they will never receive anywhere else. This is a place filled with professional, educated, selfless, and caring individuals. Every child deserves to be in a school like Shelton Academy!

Shelton is a unique school, where students have the opportunity to learn in a very special manner, by exploring, by discussing and by being very hands on. I fell in love with the schools appearance but that did not compare to the love and care my son receives on a daily basis. The entire school staff knows every child's name and make the children feel very much at home.

Outstanding!!! We transferred here from another private school in Doral and are so much happier. Shelton teaches excellence in everything. It's a nurturing and supportive environment where comments or suggestions from parents are taken very seriously. I have two children attending for two years now, and I value the individual attention they have received here; they know each and every child's story... truly incredible. The changes that have come since the new administration took over in 2015 have taken the school to another level. Shelton has cutting-edge academic instruction thanks to the wonderful teachers and incredible Principal and Dean. We couldn't be happier!!!

My son has excelled in both academics and socially at Shelton Academy! The Principal, teachers, and staff are some of the most kind professionals I've encountered here in Miami. When choosing a place to enroll my son, I scoured the most prestigious of schools and found Shelton Academy to be of the highest caliber, bar none. The curriculum is innovative to say the least, as they incorporate tablets, smart boards and various other mediums daily. The physical education department is well rounded with fantastic instruction by Mrs. Jenny Sotomayor. The focus being on both nutrition and health along side various physical activities including, but not limited to swimming. The fine arts department excels with an amazing music/drama teacher Mr. David Velez. And all the necessary educational bases are covered with this academy. I'm glad to have had my son accepted and enrolled at Shelton, and give many warm Thanks to everyone there who encounters my kiddo everyday!

We have concluded that our kid s education is not a cost; it is an investment in their future. After taking our kids out of public school because we experienced the many shortfalls of a "free education" we have realized why this investment is so important. We want our kids to learn, not memorize, we want them to explore and be engaged. We want them to be in a nurturing environment where they can spend quality hours.Academically, they are excelling and seeing the same material they would at any other top school but with the difference that they use technology, arts & music to integrate the kids learning.I am also very happy to see how the school has been accredited by several independent organizations since it started less than 5 years ago. This guarantees that all teachers are fully certified & that they school is meeting all the required curriculum to achieve academic excellence. We have been very happy with the change and recommend it to anyone looking for a well-rounded curriculum & safe environment for their kids.

My two children have been attending this school for three years now. They came from a very distinguished and expensive academy in Coral Gables. At first, I was somewhat apprehensive about the level of education here. To my surprise, after the first year, I compared the curriculum from both and realized Shelton was more advanced in all subjects, including math (the other school claimed to be one year ahead). I can assure you that my kids' teachers these past years not only have been extremely prepared and fully certified, they are also involved and take and individualized approach to "their" kids. The enviorement is a unique experience for parents and students. Shelton has been introducing new programs this year, such as Model United Nations, Elementary and Junior National Honor Societies, and National Geographic Bee. One of my kids participated in MUN in New York and compete against 1,600+ international students. The participants won three awards and it was the school's first time attending! Shelton Academy is a great institution, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a remarkable school with excellent academic standards and a loving and caring environment:

My daughter went to this school for 8 grade and now is completing 9. This is the PERFECT school for sensitive teenagers because they respect each childs personality, they know each and every kid by their name(its a small school) and because its small its like one on one education and for the parents peace of mind is a controlled atmosphere. Since we got here my daughter went from C to A grades because of the encouragement and care the teachers and all the staff showed her.

This school has a horrible parking problem, drop off and pick up times are a complete nightmare.

I read the comments before deciding to visit Shelton. Most were positive but there was four negative. I was greeted by the receptionist (Bilingual unlike what one of the negative comments says)She was professional and loving to my child the place is gorgeous, I wanted to be a child all over again. As I walked the school the students were so engaged that none of them noticed I was there(They have a lot of glass so you can see into the classrooms). My concern was one of the negative comment that not all their teachers are certified. The principal assured me that in order for them to maintain accreditation all teachers needed to be certified. After the tour I was sold. My son has been at Shelton for 6 months and he has never been happier. He loves all the aftercare activities. Academically, my child learns a lot and is asking more questions. He is taught to research and find solutions. The staff is amazing. They know every child by name and care for them.

Superb school with excellent teachers,well-rounded curriculum and a wonderful learning environment. Our children's education has been of utmost importance to us.We chose Shelton because we know that children thrive in an environment where they are not drilled or taught to memorize and are actually given the opportunity to learn with purpose and through different mediums. This creative environment instills a passion and joy for learning. One of the things we love most about the school is that all kids develop a feeling that music, art, sports, academics, critical thinking are skills that they all have. The teachers and staff are very loving and we feel that they have created a home away from home environment for the kids. This is definitely a school that gives your child an individualized attention. Everybody is called by a name, not a number! All in all,Shelton offers a perfect combination of academic excellence, opportunities to develop various talents the children may have through activities they carry out during and after school, and this is done in a nurturing learning community that prepares students for the challenges of the future.

I believe kids should be bilingual especially how our country is changing, but we parents who do not speak Spanish are at a disadvantage. They have some employees at the front desk of the school who doesn't even speak English. I believe the front desk staff should be bilingual for both spanish speaking and english speaking people. The other problem that I have has a parent is that when it comes to special events, they are very unorganized. On the first day of selling Holiday Show tickets, I arrive 30 min before the actual time they would sell the tickets, I was number 5 in line. When it was my turn, I notice the first 7 rows were already taken. I did notice parents were buying tickets for other parents who did not want to wait the line. They were buying 8 tickets for them and their friends. I feel they should have a limit on the tickets per family. When I address the problem, they seem they didn't care. I would not recommend this school at all !!!!!!!!!!!!! Go someone where.

All that glitters is not gold. If you want your child to go to a attractive looking school and have the wallet for an expensive yet empty education - this is the perfect setting. This is not the school to expect kids to become exceptional or extraordinary. Im not impressed with the administration, or particularly with SOME of the teachers who in some cases are not required to have their certifications. (I say some because you always have those amazing teachers in every school) They also have quite a bit of turnover - In some cases (more often than it should) teachers leave halfway through the year. Many parents ARE happy - mostly because there are quite of few very wealthy new comers from Venezuela, and other latin countries - whose language barrier and lack of great private schools in Doral keep them blinded to the true possibilities of great education. This school however falls short in most categories.

A truly amazing school!! As a parent who has been with the school since inception, I can recommend this school wholeheartedly. Both of my kids have always had small class sizes (between 12-16 kids per class for the last three years), most of the teachers have a masters education, are very well-prepared and have been following a very challenging and comprehensive academic curriculum. The kids are also exposed to technology daily while at the same time integrating many Reggio Emilia aspects of art, music, creativity and project-based learning. They also have a great physical education program where they have weekly swimming instruction. In addition, the administration is great- it is extremely supportive and encourages parent communication and values our opinions and concerns. For these, and many more reasons I and the kids love this school!!!

After hearing a horror story experience from a child's mom who attended this school, it confirms that its not a fancy building, gadgets or high tuition that makes a great school, but an amazing and caring teacher. More focus and investments should be made with the actual teachers who will be invested on the children. At the end of the day, the child's experience and education will come from their teachers. Maybe the teacher's are not getting the support they need and its transferring in the classroom Each classroom is a world, so I cannot speak in general. In her situation, her concerns were ignore, even when other parents were also requesting changes and a teacher's aid as there were too many students per teacher ratio.

This school is nothing that they portrait in the web page, the teachers are probably certified but are not qualified to be teachers in the USA, they speak Venezuelan Spanish instead of English . They use inappropriate and derogative language with kids in a daily basis. They are stealing parents money. I do not recommend the school at all.

I want to tell you that the most important thing about our staff is that everyone is passionate about what they do, the children's are the most important thing for them and their professionalism and enthusiasm shows in everything they do. It is a blessing working for such great organization.

Shelton Academy is a beautiful school with a great philosophy. The children enjoy coming to school and do not want to leave. I can say that I am a happy parent and knowing that my children are thrilled to go to school makes it even more beautiful. Highly recommended school.

Great school. Last year my son started kindergarten and he just loved the school. He was so eager to go to school. He wanted to be the first one to get to class! Great program. My biggest concern was how Shelton was going to combine the Reggio philosophy with the academic curriculum. Well, they did a great job. He learned and had so much fun. He can't wait to start the new school year!

Committing your child to a school is a difficult decision with significant consequences. As all children have unique individual needs, I would encourage parents to investigate as many options as possible. It is a learning experience in itself. After exploring our options, we found Shelton Academy matched the individual needs of our child. Our decision was based on social and academic value congruence, our confidence in the Reggio Emilia approach and the broad diversity of the student and teacher population. We are now completing our first year and are VERY satisfied with my child's development in all areas. My child has embraced learning, exceeding our expectations and connected with teachers and students in all classes. The school encourages interaction among all students and teachers in every grade. We really appreciate the strong sense of community, the wide variety of quality activities and the remarkable competence of the teachers.

Coming to work at Shelton has been one of the best decisions I've made in my professional career as an educator. The administration is so welcoming of new ideas, so easy to work with, and very positive. They are always for the kids! Whatever ideas the students have had, or anything I have wanted to implement, they have supported. They will bend over backwards to make it happen. We have a special opportunity here to do so many things we would't do anywhere else. It's really a privilege. Everyone here is dedicated to making this the best school in South Florida, and a place where one can really feel a family atmosphere. It's truly is a great place to work and learn!

I am so happy that I called Shelton Academy looking for a change. I have been a teacher for over 16 years, and I have never experienced anything like Shelton Academy. As soon as I entered the school, I felt at home and welcome. It has been my privilege to teach here and be a part of such a creative, positive, and motivating learning environment. Each day my students and I learn from one another. I wish that a school like this would have been around when I was in elementary school. Please take the opportunity to visit the campus and make the right decision to send your child to such a stimulating and creative place to learn, grow, and blossom. All the teachers, administration, and staff are eager to help your child reach their potential. Come and join the Shelton Academy Family. You'll be glad you took this step in the right direction toward your child's successful future.

I have my 2 children at Shelton Academy & I couldn't be happier! More importantly, my children couldn't be happier. My daughter's class of only 7 has become so close, & to her teacher as well. She has had opportunities with such a small class that she never would have had otherwise. I am amazed at how much she has learned & what a vast amount of material they were able to cover. Their field trips were too many to count! I would be hard pressed to find a better teacher than the one my daughter had this year. She is truly special. My son has grown & matured so much this year next to his teachers. They have had a great deal of patience with him. He has made very special friends, learned to read, learned a lot & had tons of fun. My daughter has gotten very involved with her Gymnastics class and feels very proud of her accomplishments. My son has enjoyed the challenges of Karate and the relaxation of Yoga. Overall, my children have been both challenged & nurtured in Shelton's family friendly environment. Every staff member, from the Front Desk to the Kitchen, as well as the entire Faculty & Staff, make my children feel loved & cared for each & every day.

An extraodinary school with a stellar program! We chose the schools because of its art orientation and approach to education. Children are completely in touch with new and emerging technologies. Also, they learn by doing, not necessarily memorizing. One of my kids is dyslexic and he gets all the attention he needs. I couldn t be more thankful for that. Amazing after-care program too: yoga, karate, flamenco and even filmmaking for kids.

Shelton is approaching the conclusion of its first year. Thus far, this school has excelled in its level of education and facilities provided to the students. Our son is in first grade and has been blessed with an outstanding teacher, Jessica Bucholz, with whom he has blossomed both academically and socially. I highly recommend this school.

I believe that Shelton Academy is the school of the future; warm, family oriented and with a focus on differentiated instruction. Children are given a chance as individuals and are taught at their level without feeling that they are superior or inferior to other children. Technology and role-play make a difference in the type of education children receive in this school compared to other schools in this area; but the biggest and most important element are the teachers and principal who believe in the vision of building a school were education is key without losing sight of who the children are. My child loves his school. He can add and substract double digits, read at 2nd grade level in kindergarten while still having fun.

It has been the best decision I have ever made for my daughter, this school has been a second family for her, all the teachers, the program, It is a new way of learning, thru living. And the school is a beautiful place, full of nice places that invites you to learn,to read, to create. You have to see it , you will like to be a kid again.!!!!

What an amazing school! It makes me want to be a child all over again!!! My children love Shelton! Although it is a very new school they are very aware that the children need to be a completely prepared individual, not only academically but also socially.
