Great STEM focused school for the area. I had my student here since Kindergarten. She has been excelling in reading. And she is learning English since she was 3 years old. If your student is bilingual, this school is perfect to close the gap. They have students from all backgrounds. I hear many parents from other schools whose kids are being bullied. At this school, my child feels safe for years. Teachers are caring and they communicate well. My child participated in Spelling Bee, Battle of the books etc. They also have Robotics, Science olympiad and other STEM teams as well as sports teams. Not the best fields for outside play and PE but academically, they are strong. Warning: discipline policy is strict.

Overall experience with this school is a 5/10. There are quite a few great teachers but they don't have the support they need to be effective teachers. The administration fails to acknowledge the vast cultural differences of the school and refuses to take kind suggestions from parents and staff about changes that could make a great improvement in the amount of support and involvement they can attain from parent participation and student cooperation. Many of the students are pressed because they have a difficult time decompressing and actually being able to be children at some point in the day. A few years ago I would have given this school a gold star for progress but in the last 3 years that progression has extremely diminished, not to mention the constant change in leadership within the last few years. This school would be a lot better if they administration took the time to make the parents and students really feel welcomed ad apart of the learning process.

There are those that are effective and those that believe yelling is more effective than actually redirecting and adapting to the culture of the students for better understanding of method to manage the classroom.

Most of the students are afraid to be themselves, every action results in punishment or discipline of some sort for being open spoken. They do not embrace creativity from the students or parents.

The leadership could use some training in classroom management, cultural diversity and how to manage situations without resorting to referrals for all cases.

They do not have the resources to provide the attention necessary for children with learning difficulties.

Not at all. Sometimes the teachers are the bullies.

My child has progressed tremendously during the 3 years he has been in this school. He has scored above level in all state tests every year. The small class sizes are a plus. It seems that every staff member knows the students' names even if they are not in their classrooms. The school provides afterschool clubs such as science Olympiad, sports club, Lego, art, etc. My son loved being part of the science Olympiad club and traveling to compete with many other schools. Parents are always welcomed to volunteer and I made sure I took these opportunities to do so. Love it!

Love, love, love this school!! Great teachers, great principal, great learning! This school has a zero tolerance policy which I also love. The P.E. class is 1 hour long every day of the week. We never had that in regular public school. Anyway, I'm very happy with everything at this school.

I love the cirriculum at this school; very challenging to my gifted child. The classes are small 10-12 students per class, and the teachers keep learning fun while focusing on the importance of learning. There are many academic clubs for the students to join and stay involved. Oveall a very good school.
