I have not had any bullying issues.

Both of my children had learning and behavioral issues before Sea Coast. Since the switch we ha e had no behavioral issues. Due to the academic interventions my children are now on level for their grade.

Mrs. Stremmel is the Principal and she does a great job. There's clear communication and the teachers work together.

It starts in the classroom where the kids are taught proper conduct and integrity. They also have a school counselor that works with each classroom each month on a new character trait.

Most teachers have taught for a long time and are experienced and organized.

The kids have a binder system to teach them responsibility. Most nights the kids have homework that reinforces information learned in class. As a parent I enjoy knowing what my kids are learning.

I have twin girls in second grade. I transferred them to SeaCoast from Duval county school because they were academically behind. By the second quarter the girls were caught up and thriving! It starts with the Principal who is firm but flexible. She's very hands on and the staff and kids respect her. The teachers are all experienced and professional l- many with 10 plus years experience. They also have many options for interventions if your child needs one. The classroom sizes are smaller and the teachers are proactive in classroom management. The kids are taught college prep skills like organization, responsibility, etc. Their math curriculum is significantly better than public schools and they still teach cursive. I can't say enough about this school! It's outstanding.

Seacoast is a great school. I have two children enrolled there. The teachers are great at communicating with me. The academic and behavioral expectations are very high, and the fact that it is a very small school makes us feel like we are a valued part of a school family.

I love this school. It is a small school where you feel like you are part of the family. The education far exceeds the public schools in the area.

Well, the new fad lately is to get your kid into a charter school. What you need to consider is that charter schools do not answer to anyone. In particular, Seacoast Charter Academy has a director that is very hands off. You cannot complain to her or request help from her on anything. The response you will receive is, "that is not my department" or "I don't handle that." Which apparently applies to every situation involving a parent. There are a few really great teachers at this school, but unfortunately they are surrounded by incompetent, rude fledgelings who are struggling so hard to hide the fact that they are inept, uneducated trash (ie. the school's secretary). Having to deal with these individuals on even the most simplest, mundane requests will have you pulling your hair out. The advise given to us by 2 fifth graders was to pull our child from the school before they reach fourth grade. That is very sad.
