I went to Leto for all 3 years, but then I moved my first month of my senior year. I want to say if you are thinking about going there, prepare yourself. This school's system is horrible. I want to give an example of why YOU SHOULD NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL, I applied for student government my junior year going to my senior year, and the way they choose students it's just favoritism from all of their clubs and sports, they only give opportunities to those who are popular. When I got my classes I did not get into Leadership, the students are the ones who choose here for this team, not the teacher. So, some of my friends started a club that everyone from the leadership team was talking terrible about this club because they were saying it was "replacing Leadership team" and the students who are in leadership they already knew each other before applying and they all have like a group where once they are officer from ANY CLUB they do not let you in because they only want their friends.

I would never say this school is great, even good sounds generous. This school has always been notorious for its violence between students, and had had multiple gun threats this past school year. It is embarrassing to say I attend this school. I have never seen a student happy to attend class, and the grand majority of the classes offered are uninteresting. A shocking amount of students are also way below average, like shockingly to the point where they do not understand basic mathematics and spelling.
Additionally, this new administration with the principal Artabasy is absolutely horrendous.

The school is awful. Some teachers are mean and unprofessional. Kids are problematic, smoke and fight. Counselors don’t do their work and it is not safety at all.

Horrible experience at Incarnation for elementary and middle school years. The past two Principals have been horrible and have bullied teachers to the point of losing some of their best teachers due to administration. Students are bullied and nothing is done. Principal is rude and very fake to all students, teachers and parents. The students do not have a Middle School library. The school does not have art or a real foreign language class that prepares students for high school. Principal did not send parents the past Standardized test scores which did not allow parents to know where their children were needing to study. There are no hands on activities in Science also and all learning is passive and dull. There is no diferenciation for students and higher level students fail to learn at their level. Do not send your children here!

Graduated in 1972 from Leto Comprehensive Vocational School. Enjoyed my time there, even the bad along with the good. I was just sitting here thinking about Leto and thought I would look up the Leto webpage to see the school and to see what kind of programs they offer now compared to when I was there. After exploring the web page and reading the rather unimpressive content I have to say I am severely disappointed! I see not one vocational training program now. Yes I understand that this is supposed to be a school where the basics are taught but honestly don't the basics include how to become a self sufficient wage earner as well as being able to read & write (which, by the way, look dismal)!?
I came to look back with some nostalgia on the high school I remember but what I see here is NOT what I expected to see or wanted to see! What I see now is simply an assembly line with the motto of bring 'em in the front door and kick 'em out the back as quickly as we can and with as little disruption to our (the faculty) lives as conceivable!

What happened to the pride of knowing you (the Administration) have positively affected/infected and sent these young adults out into the world with the tools to survive this brutal world & succeed in life!? I must stop at this point.

I'm an alumnus, now I teach here. Many in my family, for 3 generations, have attended. Falcons fly high, smashing expectations. We care, and we don't give up.

Disgusted to find out my sons chemistry teacher shows a lot of skin and is very Provocative on her social media’s! They are not on private and you use her full legal name to search and is easy to find. Did they school not check into this before hiring her? Or do they just not care? It’s sad to see school lowering their professional standards in teacher selection. This is a recipe for disaster. I will be contacting the school board.

English Curriculum is from decades ago and not pertinent for a multicultural population that can not relate with this school culture. And a predominantly white English faculty does not promote an example for a diverse population.

My daughter is going into her third year and it has been a great experience. The administration especially the principal is top notch and have worked hard to elevate the school. Most of the students Ive met are polite and motivated. Many teachers are great and dedicated. Sports are ok but there is a lot of spirit and tradition. The band ROTC and culinary are great.

My daughter just graduated from this school. Her experience was mostly positive and for the 1st 3.5 yrs, we had a great guidance counselor that was super helpful with making adjustments to her class schedule to accomodate for the dual-enrollment classes she was taking at HCC etc. Unfortunately, that counselor left midway through the year and her replacement has been singularly unhelpful. I still have my son to get through 2 more years and, if I have to continue to deal with this woman, I think my head will explode. Bottom line I guess is, that it all depends on who you are forced to deal with in the school. I can name a couple of dozen teachers and admins that are terrific. Unfortunately, I can also name a few that need to retire or get fired.

I had the opportunity to visit this school in my role as a school counselor. The infrastructure is well maintained and free of architectural barriers. The cafeteria is one of the cleanest and best themed dining rooms I've seen in my life. The administrative and teaching staff is a highly competent and professional, especially the school principal. If given the opportunity to select a school as either workplace or school to mine, Leto High School would be my first choice in Tampa. - Lic. Myriam Rivera, San Juan, Puerto Rico

Students & Teachers equally make or break schools and for that very reason Leto is a great institution. . Our student body is respectful and hardworking and our faculty is highly dedicated and committed. A perfect recipe for greatness.

Most of the staff are supportive and inspiring but some just sit there and do nothing while you take notes on a useless power-point and when they test you you're supposed to know everything when they have not been teaching at all. The kids are not that bad but very rude at times. The ROTC program is excellent but the football team is awful.
