We absolutely love this school, we are on our fourth year attending PES and we couldn't ask for a better school for my kids, it feels more like a small community.

This is a hidden gem of a school: loving and highly professional teachers, a caring and transparent administration, and a supportive community. We've been here for several years, and every teacher has become like a family member for us.

My son began attending PES this year and he loves it! The progress he's made in reading is so impressive and his teacher is wonderful. He has an IEP that was implemented immediately and he said the SPL is super nice. Extended Day is affordable and he's always bringing home cute little crafts that they do. The program also hosts a variety of enrichment programs, which has been awesome for our busy schedule. I highly recommend this school.

This school allows bullying especially the principal & assistant principal. The rates of suicide in children have significantly increased in the country and schools don't like to take responsibility in their role when these instances are brought forward to those that are supposed to protect our children. It's clear they either don't do an extensive background on those they hire through a 3rd party to run extended day. I would rate this a zero overall if I could. If your child doesn't look like the majority of the other students, they will not take you seriously. It's infuriating to know we still live in these times. I 1000% would not recommend this school.

Palencia elementary school has a great atmosphere. Some teachers teach better then others. One year I don't think my child learned what she needed to for the grade and the next year with a different teacher she learned a lot more. Over all a good school.

Love that this school is digital and uses tech a lot for both classwork and homework. I'm able to keep track of what my kids are doing in school as teachers post in apps/sites to update parents. It's my kids' first year here and they come from a school that has a 10 rating here in Great Schools, also from the same county. This is just one of the newer schools here but I'm sure they'll be a 10 too, just give them a few more years. The principal is great too, he interacts a lot with the students and parents and just brings overall perkiness to the school!

Palencia Elementary rivals some of the best private schools in the state. The 7 rating is misleading because it's only couple years old. It will surely be a 10 rates school soon, like the rest of the schools in the St. John's school district.

Amazing school! The school staff really takes pride in what they are doing! My daughter has learned so much in such a short period of time :-)

This school is very organized and student -based. The teachers are friendly and caring, with a great principal, who will be retiring next year; however, hand-picked the new principal and every teacher in the school. If you are lucky enough to get Ms. Harrington or Ms. Simpson, you will not be disappointed. The school is "green" and every student uses an IPad in the classroom. As a new school, it is very clean and the custodian, I think his name is Eddie, works very, very hard. The kids love the school. It was a very refreshing year, and had minimal kinks as a brand new school. Great Job!
