I graduated from here, since I have gone on to receive a B.S., a Masters, and going for another degree after landing a dream position in a company. This school unfortunately did not prepare me for my time in college, and my time at PBHS was filled with test prepping that was not on target.
When looking back, the bullying and the programs against it were non-existent, watching others get bullied in front of staff. I won't go too much further on this other than the staff would rather not deal with the paperwork, and believe nothing happened.
The biggest thing, and the reason why everyone should avoid this school is college prep. It is non-existent trying to get you ready for a test. Going to college is a shell-shock and the quality of work that many classes at PBHS will not prepare most students for this. The largest thing I want to touch on was I felt very alone during my application process, additionally the counselors never informed me of certain due dates required for Bright Futures; years of volunteer work, well over 200 hours, plus Honors and AP classes, for nothing.
If you are thinking of looking at this school, I have heard others near by do a better job or preparing you, or your child, for college. I wish my parents selected a different location 10 years ago.

I have had two of my Son's graduate from PBHS , both of my kids enjoyed all four years that they attended there , they both also took part in the Rotc program and have gone on to bigger and better things . My youngest graduated in 2025 . Thank you PBHS for the outstanding job you did with my kids !

They won't let kids on their phones at lunch. This school is pathetic for a kids mental health. Let them rest and take a break. Better yet at lunch the deans and teachers need to surrender their phones. I get it during class it needs to be put away.
The school is not safe. One year someone got shot. Some teachers are incompetent. Some teachers are way to good to be there. This school loses at all sports and has some of the worst test scores of any brevard school. Its a dump. I would suggest private school where the principle isnt drunk on power.

To say I am disappointed in this school would be a gross understatement! My oldest has been in PBMH for three years, and in that time has had 3+ guidance counselors! The turnover in staff is alarming! The administration is completely inattentive and apathetic. Bullying is a huge problem - far more than "typical" bullying issues. It was so bad I chose to send my younger daughter to a different high school in the county - well worth the drive to keep her from the filth at PBMH. The "magnet" program is a complete joke. There is NO teaching going on at this school - just putting out "fires" (literal and metaphorical) and babysitting. I feel sorry for the handful of decent teachers who are struggling to work with the kids at this school. Do not send you child here!!

The school is unorganized, the staff seems uninformed and the principal is MIA (ever heard of communicating with parents??). The curriculum, even AP, is not challenging. Too much focus on the FCAT in the non-honors and non-AP classes. Some of the teachers and counselors are great but the school desperately needs a real school leader at the helm. A lack of enthusiasm about being in the business of educating kids permeates the entire building.

Best in academics, athletics, and everything else! My sister and I both went there and both graduated from college. There are bad seeds at every school but there is such a wealth of clubs and academics to be involved with, it was never a problem! GO PIRATES!!!!
