Scores do not reflect the high quality of this school. Large variety of technical career courses and they follow the Cambridge program for highly motivated students. Dual enrollment possibilities exist with Eastern Florida State College. Don’t be swayed by the low ratings that ignore the best parts of this school.

Some teachers are good and supportive of their students. However they cannot stand up to or make up for the discrimination and overreach of the administration. Administration puts more effort into criminalizing minors, destroying futures, and forcing them into the system instead of supporting or directing them towards something positive. They consistently make up arbitrary rules to punish kids. Experience examples from the 50+ kids I know currently enrolled or recently graduated:
1st offense of being 30 seconds late to class? 8 hours of Saturday detention.
Borrowed a car to go to school and an empty vape was inside? Suspension and a minor in possession charge.
Passed all your classes, took extra online courses every year and have all your credits done before Senior year? Expect them to force you to still attend 4th year because "you can't do that".
Want to expel waste from your body semi privately? Administration will stand in the bathroom and look through the gap to make sure your not doing anything else.
Had some bad grades early in the year, but finally doing well and exciting to go to homecoming bc you have your grades up and you have no Fs? Nope, not allowed, because "maybe next time if you do a little better" even though that's not policy.
Borrowed a car and an unopened single wine cooler inside? Expulsion and possession charge.
Have to use the bathroom during class? Expect a hallway pat down because "you must be trying to vape" and then suspension even when nothing is found on you.

Great school. Awesome programs for the students to learn about the Aviation and Technology industry making them interested in the Tech companies in the area.

If you are an involved parent your child has every opportunity to do well at Eau Gallie. Lots of advanced academic, technical training and personal growth support here. I'd say Eau Gallie is more of a "casual" school where it is up to the student to do well and apply themselves. If your child is already on a wayward course and you are a hands off parent, you will need to setup extra support for them which I feel is totally reasonable. There is a broad mix of socio-economic classes at Eau Gallie which I personally believe builds character and empathy in our kids as they go out into the world where they will meet many people who are not the same as them.

Pretty good school. However, becomes a great school if your student joins in any AICE, Dual Enrollment, aviation, CTE, etc. classes. Eau Gallie also has a wide range of clubs including SWAT and DOCK.
Eau Gallie is the only school to have a full hanger built on campus for the aviation program and is one of the few schools to do AICE.

My child came home in tears her first 2 days telling me she was not welcomed and didn’t feel welcomed she was shunned

Posted: January 23, 2019

My child started attending school during the second semester and didn’t even get any homework or text books her first week..

Posted: January 23, 2019

They much rather talk to the students and be friends than teach a lesson...

Posted: January 23, 2019

There’s definitely no integrity or respect I saw multiple dress code violations at this school and the students disrespectful attitudes were on full display

Posted: January 23, 2019

Horrible!!! I pulled my child out of that school after two days.. they don’t even call you when your child misses school they wait until the end of the day to notify you!! Not acceptable...

I am a student at Eau gallie and it hurts my heart to see some of the things people say about it. Eau Gallie is a fantastic school that provides excellent academic programs such as the Cambridge AICE program, AVID, and honors. They have a large selection of clubs that help students get more involved with their community and school. The teachers are fantastic and will always work to help you be the best student you can be. If you are a parent looking on here to see what kind of school this is I can promise you that it is the best in the area. Don't listen to the parents who say it's a bad school because it's not. It's not the schools fault that that their kid isn't making the best of it. I'm in 11 clubs, I play soccer, and I'm in the Cambridge AICE Program. I'm imvolvled and having an awesome time anchoring down with the rest of my commodore family!

Run as fast as you can from this school, don't send your child there. There is nothing good to say about this school, most of the teachers are horrible, the administration doesn't do anything about it, the guidance counselors have no idea what the are doing. And there is so much favoritism, selection for any team, club activity or award is based on who you know not ability. I moved just to get my child away from this school. If you have to attend pay very, very close attention to your child's graduation requirements, the guidance counselors don't know and change them every other day!

Eau Gallie High School has some good teachers, but the majority don't seem to care that much. The principal is not very involved. With the exception of a few teams, the athletic department is not that great. Discipline could be enforced better. Last year, they received a "B' grade from the state when all other schools in Brevard County but one received an "A". Although, Eau Gallie does have a terrific music program. If you're moving to the Melbourne area, I would be careful about sending your student(s) to Eau Gallie.

I would have to say most teachers great. Sports Department is bad. No community or parent involvement. Principal not involved with parents or students.
