Cypress Creek Elementary School

My kids attend this school and have been bullied, come home crying more often than not with complaints of kids spitting on them, hitting them, stealing their stuff and more. Kids rarely receive homework or activities to encourage learning, I enrolled my 5 yr old son for kindergarten for his first year of school and within a month of just getting used to his teacher they have “selected” him to be in a new class they created which is a new adjustment for him and should have been done before children started school which just highlights their lack of organization. The school dismissal is a joke often resulting in waiting on a car rider line for 40-50 minutes for your child and apparently the last hour of school your child does not belong to you and you cannot get your child regardless of your emergency. It’s a disgusting way to treat families who have their children enrolled leaving parents feeling hopeless and striping parents of their right unnecessarily. This will be the last year my children are enrolled here.

Great community, teachers, staff, and administrators. They care!

The school lacks on education. Teachers have to teach at a slower pace to keep everyone on the same page. Kids are not challenged. The amount of bullying and fighting and overall chaos is a joke. No wonder the school is getting a new principal this year. My child’s teacher would tell me how crazy some of the kids were and the behavior issues she delt with such as getting hit by kids. Security guards dragging kids out of classrooms and an officer to monitor the halls in an elementary school is crazy to fathom. I pulled my child out immediately. This is more of a daycare than a school.

My boys attended Cypress creek for 2016-2017 and then 2017-2018 school years and both years it was great. They both had great teachers who not only were great at their jobs but also cared about them. We never had issues on bullying or anything that concerned us. My oldest finished elementary there and when we were headed to middle school, we decided to give a nearby charter a try. So I took both boys (oldest to 6th grade) and little one for 2nd grade to a nearby charter school. There were lots of ups and downs from the new school but I figured we’d give them a shot since it was their first year open. Well...we are now back at Cypress creek with my 2nd grader. We couldn’t even finish this school year at the charter school. The lack of communication from the majority of the teachers at the charter school was horrible. I never experienced this before with other teachers. Second grade teacher was not bad but middle school was just horrible there. We are so happy to be back at cypress creek and everyone was excited to see us back. I love their office staff and teachers. My 2nd grader is so happy to go to school now and be back with his friends. My oldest attends another school but he is also happy. I want to thank everyone at cypress creek for being so loving and caring so much for my children. I feel so relief now to have my boys happy where they are.

If your child is going to be new at cypress creek, give them a try before judging them. No school is perfect. But this school is full of loving people who will card about your children.

Also, get involved with events. Participate and volunteer. You won’t regret it!

I have a 1rst grader that attends this school. Yes, it's not perfect, but no school is. He is excelling quite nicely, and we love both the kindergarten teacher he had and his current teacher. He's held accountable for his behavior, and when there has been problems with other kids, both the teachers and the principle have worked with us to address them properly. I was anxious about having my son attend this school originally, but I am now glad we decided to proceed with this vs private school.

I give it 2 stars because of the good teachers and I took 3 stars off because my son has a bullying problem at my school and they won't do anything about it my some is in the 1st grade and gets kicked in the head , made fun of and cursed at!! My son is learning bad words at school , I buy him nice books and good quality school supplies and the other kids take it away from him I had to stop packing his lunch because he wasn't able to eat his food without kids harassing him , of and the part the principle doesn't care oh boys will be boys what can I do, and he even avoided us until the scho was about to close at 4 O'clock waited an hour and he comes out holding around like oh time fore me to go I wanted to smack him upside the head what a horrible staff, they should be ashamed to call that a learning environment!!

I love this school ms.flint is the best forth grade teacher I moved and I miss cyprees creek I will always love cypress creek elementary :(.

I have 3 children attending Cypress Creek and they love it, this year better than last year. Mr. and Mrs. Denny (4th Grade) are great!!! A previously mentioned 2nd Grade teacher is no longer there, that I wasn't a big fan of. I'm in the military and moved A LOT!!! We've seen some bad schools, Cypress Creek is not one of them. It's diverse, but the teachers and principal seem to care about the kids.

My kids hate this school. The cafeteria staff is rude, the principal does not care of the students. The carloop is always a mess and the teacher That escort the student they just come to meet Their coworkers to chit chat, all the times my kids get inside the car and they dont even notice They left already. They dont have any kind of sport or anything to get the kids Involved aside the classes regularly. Excluding two or three others are incompetent teachers. Dont bring your kids to this school.

My main concern about Cypress Creek Elementary is that they do no celebrate black history month. It is only celebrated by the individual teacher. I feel since there are other minority children that attend the school, those of African American Descent should feel a sense of pride and joy when the school show spirit in celebrating their culture. When it is cinco de mayo the entire school is decorated.

My children come home crying every day. They don't like this school and tell me about kids picking on them at school. Teachers seem to think it's boys being boys, but I don't think my children should come home with black eyes. The school has also told us that there isn't much homework given because all the children don't speak English well and they have other responsibilities at home. Our children will be taken out of this school at the end of the year.
