This school has amazing academics. My daughter has excelled at the school. However, the disorganization of the administration will make you want to pull your hair out. Last year I applied both of my children as a Kindergartner and a Second grader. Both of them got in. Only for twenty four hours later to have my Second grader dropped saying the school had made an error and accepted too many kids in my daughters grade. So, I spoke someone saying the because her sister was accepted my second grader would have better odds. At the orientation, it was highly disorganized. A lot of parents no knowing where to go and when I realized at the end no one had taken our registration paperwork. I stopped someone who said she was the principal and would be glad to take our paperwork. Cut to registration and there was an issue yet again when my daughter's paperwork was no where to be found. So we filled out another form and turned it. Cut to Jan 8 2026, a Microsoft form is sent out asking the students who wish to return to declare their intent to do so on a 'Microsoft Form'. I did this and sent it in the same day, only to have the registrar send me an email a month later indicating that my Kindergartner would lose her spot. I called immediately to talk to someone (no answer -no surprise there though). I then sent an email to the registrar stating that I had filled out the form AGAIN and had saved it to my Microsoft account just in case they misplaced the form again. I was replied to that she was on maternity leave and catching up on things. The sad thing about this school is it doesn't have to be maternity leave or any other kind of human even, they are just so disorganized. Now, yet again my daughter who reapplied as a third grader, was wait listed again. I do not want to pull my younger child from this environment which has excellent teachers and caregivers, but the administration is so lacking in their job, I am having an extremely hard time putting my faith in this institution a second time. I would highly recommend looking into other Charter schools in the area, because the lottery and all other admin procedures are a joke.

The ESE staff is great, compassionate and treat the students as their own.

Bullying is not tolerated at any level. They have councilors in place to talk with the kids and help them resolve their problems the right way.

Odyssey Preparatory Academy continues to educate students to reach their full potential in all areas - intellectually, physically, emotionally, spiritually and socially. Our students and teachers did an excellent job in 2018-2019 digging into learning and teaching - with the school only one percentage point from a school grade of "A". Great work Olympians!

This school does not hold up to its standards, or mission. The staffing is atrocious, and the principal is awful.

5th grade did not get any homework. When we presented this to administration, they turned it around and blamed it on my face child for not asking for homework.

Of the three 5th grade teachers, only one showed up consistently. The other 2 stopped showing up, and were never replaced. Just used subs and teachers aids the rest of the year.

Principal is a joke. Tries to pawn everything off to the dean, whom is unresponsive. Principal does not address any concerns, and is conveniently, busy every time you have an issue.

This school has better 3rd reading scores than every public elementary school in the area. Fantastic, caring staff with high expectations.

the school lacks communication, supervision of students and most importantly leadership.
a school should make you feel safe, not paranoid something will happen to ypur child.
during our sons time at Odyssey prep, our son was harmed and nothing was done about it.
please research before thinking of sending your kids here. they are not all their pretending to be.

Teachers lack patience, are rude, use horrendous language to students

School is all numbers and money. They do not care about your child. It is simply for show.
Big difference between charter and prep!
Highly suggest going else where!

Horrible school.
When a child is harmed they would much rather call a child a liar then actually investigate. The principal is new to the school and has no idea what she is doing and you can absolutely tell in the way she talks and acts.
If you value your child's safety I would not recommend this school.
We had two children in this school and thought it would be a great fit, and it was everything but.

Odyssey Prep is a high quality school. The academics are rigorous and challenging. The teachers are caring and supportive, and believe that all students can achieve academically to reach their full potential. Odyssey Prep has made significant gains since opening four years ago. If you are looking for a green and healthy, high performing school, this is the school for you.

Odyssey Preparatory Academy is in the Odyssey Charter Schools network and is operationally seamless. The students receive an education modeled after OPA's sister school OCS Elementary which is the highest ranked public school in Palm Bay. The administrator, teachers and support staff are absolutely committed to raising student achievement and the academic gains the school realized last year are a testament to OPA's dedication to the student.

Our son went an entire month without a teacher as his previous teacher up and left in the middle of the school year and they had no replacement. The school did not even notify us as parents that are child was being neglected a proper education. They go through a new principal every school year and now we understand why. They need to get their act together! The school takes zero responsibility for their lack of administration, staff and organization. According to them it is the student's responsibility to pass along ANY and ALL information to parents. We even stressed the fact that our child wasn't bringing homework home and they disregarded all notifications. We then decided to pick our child up from his classroom in which his teacher told us we could not do(but refused to make sure he had all proper materials). After letting her know we have the right she complied. My husband then goes to the school where he is told he cannot check his son out after 3:15. He notified the front desk he wasn't checking him out. They made a big deal about my husband picking his son up from his class. He had to threaten to call the police before they released our child to us.

They constantly offer programs directed to integrity and take in all parents considerations. They can not excell without parent commitment!

My daughter has excelled thanks to OPA! I couldn't be happier with staff who treat you individually and not just "another parent". Very clean, healthy habits and great staff!

This school is all about show. They talk the talk, but do not walk the walk. Do not send your kids there. Mine hated it there. There's no structure and my children never received the right amount of support. They lost almost a whole year of teaching due to that school. What a waste of time!
