I have two kids currently in 2nd and 4th and my other one will start vpk next school year. This school has been amazing for my kids. The staff and teachers are so nice and care about all kids education and personal well-being. If there are and issues it is addressed fast and sufficient.

Great school with a very caring and involved staff. My two youngest made great progress in their learning. This school is very environmentally oriented and teaches environmental awareness and emotional intelligence. They care and it shows. Only complaint is their air conditioning system can be unreliable.

Hello. My name is William Soldani and I went to this school back in 2012 and left the school at fourth grade in 2016. Right now I am a freshman in high school. I can not still get over of how utterly terrible the school was.
When I was little, I was bullied by an individual (will not say names). He would blurt out hate speech and slurs to me every day. I felt terrible every day because if him. Numerous times I have come to my teachers and informed them about the situation. They did little effort to stop the situation. Multiple times I have argued back to my bully and would end up in the front office with a referral.
I am not sure what the status of the school is under right now but I can assure you that the bullying in that school is not taken seriously amongst the school. I will never ever in my life bring my children it this school if I become a father. Never would and never will recommend your child coming to this school ever.

Ive had many many issues with one teacher in particular. She does not care about the students and whether or not they are excelling and learning. She only cares that her class is run HER way and does not take any constructive criticism from parents.

While the principal is easy to talk to.....you have to first get a hold of her. She does not take calls and when Ive asked for a call back. I have not gotten one. The best line of communication with her is email and thats quite sad considering her position.

my chils has learning differences and no one is willing to help. The teacher expects him to do the same as the other students even though she is well aware of his issues.

We did have one bullying issue that was handled however, its not only students who are doing the bullying. My sons teacher constantly belittles him and embarrasses him in front of his classmates.

overall they seem to respond very fast when you have a problem unfortunately no problems or every single day their new approach to security has creative complete and total chaos making it even harder to pick up our children and takes me in 23 minutes to get my child even though he's a walker

After a somewhat horrendous kindergarten year at another Island school we purchased our home in the MILA district. I will admit I was super skeptical but my realtor stressed to me that I would love it and my daughter would too!! We just finished our second year there and I couldn't be happier! The staff is amazing everyone knows my child and as well as the others. I have had the principal come up to me more than once and tell me how much she loves my daughter! Even in the Christmas parade the staff saw her in the crowd and stopped to hug her! Can't wait for year #3 and having both my kids there since my son will be starting kindergarten this year!

My child started at Mila's VPK program this year. The staff is very friendly. My childs teachers are Mrs. Jabbari and Mrs. Candice and we jus love them both. So far it's been a great year.

This school used to be the best., but now im not so sure anymore. i used to go there but when i was little it was the best! now in 2012 i see kids getting into fights and kids with pocket knives. isn't this an elementary school?

The school DOES NOT listen to the parents when there is a problem with your child- they are too worried about their budget& overwhelmed with the population of students. They do not provide documentation on your child as they are supposed to & as requested by parents. The principal is very inappropriate & out of line at times- not concerned about your child only "her school". I hope to have my child out of this school VERY soon!
