The schools Bullying policy is backwards or non existent

They don't deal with the bully. Instead they make the victim feel like he is wrong.

Regressively getting worse by the year. After 7 years here we are ready to leave.

My child attends this school and when he first transferred in (we moved into the area) from a different school on Merritt Island things went well and I was very impressed. This school is great, the kids are horrible. For the last two years my child has been bullied to the point that I am ready to move out of the area. I am appalled at the way kids treat others here. On one instance my child had to sit in the deans office for a day and the next day there were 3 children that asked my child if they had learned their lesson yet. Meaning those 3 children lied in a cohesive story line so that my child got in trouble.

They have excellent communication standards in place for homework.

There are great teachers here and there are teachers that are not so great.

The school excels in putting forth the best efforts. Most children learn their poor character from their home role models tho and that is hard to counteract.

They have excellent teachers and administration staff.

Not sure on this one. . . .

If the stories line up, yes, they can effectively handle bullies.

I first want to state that yes this is an "out of area" school in Brevard and ALL public schools are, as Brevard County is a Choice County. I will also state that it is my opinion that this school has helped save my child's Elementary Education in many many ways. She is "out of area", and she has always maintained straight A's since the begining of her education. My child did not start Audubon until the 3rd grade, and her grades, attitude, and outlook while attending this school has remained the same. IN fact she has grown as a person adjusting well to all the changes she has been faced with. I have never had any issues with this school and know they are a huge reason why she is now and will be so successful in life! Sure there are a few bad kids in every school, but we have to teach our children not to let others actions effect them in a negative manor. This is a part of life, a part of growing up. I do not believe bullying is an issue here at all. The teacher's and staff are very loving and caring, if there were any issues such as this I feel they would take care of the issue ASAP. We love Audubon Elementary School it is everything everyone has ever told us about it. VERY proud our daughter is an Eagle!!

My eldest daughter transferred to Audubon after we moved, previously from Roosevelt in CB,in her early 5th grade year. Officially one of the worst moves I've ever made in her educational career. This is also an "out of area school", which effectively degrades the learning environment by taking on kids from other areas that maybe aren't so great. Kids are nasty to teachers & staff, & vice versa. She went from A/B to low Cs & even got her first F. She came home daily complaining about not being able to hear the teacher, or teachers attitude when trying to ask for help, she complained about other kids cussing & messing around constantly in class. I knew immediately, this school wasn't for someone who truly cares about their quality of education & has the desire to learn, & it made her depressed. I applied to RLS asap when applications were open & she's finishing 6th grade there & LOVING her new school & encouraging environment. My middle just started RLS for Kindergarten, because there's no way I would ever allow my kids to grow in the Audubon culture of failure.

Worst school in Brevard for special needs. Please if you care about your kid do not send your child here.

If you have a special needs child, then RUN away from this school! The teachers and administration are uncaring and biased toward a child with special needs and have no interest in following IEP or any other program given by the school board. Trust me. If your kid goes to this school it will do more harm then good.

I have spoke with many parents regarding Audubon Elementary School and have heard they are very happy with the programs, teachers, staff and overall progress their children have made. My granddaughter attends and I do check her book bag frequently. The system the teacher uses to communicate w/parents is great.
