Fortunately we haven't directly encountered bullying, so I can't remark on how the school deals with it. Although the absence of bullying in our experience is positive.

Character is a main theme at Roosevelt there are many instances where administration encourages positive traits.

Each teacher is very unique and the administration seems to allow teacher's flexibility in teaching style.

Not too much homework, just the right amount. Teachers are also understanding of weekends and holidays, and never assign homework when there is an after-school event.

Roosevelt Elementary is a friendly and kind environment for my two children who are thriving at this school. The staff, teachers, administration, parents and students are great and the community at this school has helped to foster a love of learning in my children. Both of my kids have IEP's and their needs are well met, in addition there are extra curricular activities which they participate in after school. We moved to this neighborhood after my first child finished kindergarten at a different school. The other school was great, but Roosevelt has been even better! We are grateful to live in Roosevelt's zone.

My son went to 2nd grade here and the experience was awful. Unprofessional Teacher and Administration. After a semester full of trouble and my kiddo being really sad, I took him out and homeschooled him. He's happier know and he has learn more in 3 months at home than the whole semester he went there. He used to be on a very challenging school with 6 clases and had straight A's and after going to this school he finish saying he was a dumb kid. I had to look for professional help for him and they said the emotional damage the Teacher did to him was awful. Right now, Im looking for houses to move and for me is very important that Roosevelt isn't the zone school.

I love the teachers and staff there at Roosevelt. They seem to genuinely care about the children there. This school has such a community atmosphere. My child has thrived there. I believe that the teacher makes the difference, as does parental participation.

I couldn't ask for a better school for my boys. They LOVE their teachers each year and really enjoy all of the after school clubs. It is centrally located in Cocoa Beach and my kids love riding their bikes with their friends. I'm very happy they will be attending this school for a few more years.

My son went to Kindergarten here. He was not very happy and did not enjoy school much. The times I dealt with the faculty were not great. We have since moved to a new school and my son is much happier and enjoys school now.

We have been in 5 diferent school systems. Roosevelt is the best public school we have attended. The teachers are excellent. They have been very knowledgeable, professional and caring. The administration has been caring and helpful to all students. The school has Spanish in aftercare. They know how to motivate students through rewards. My child wants to go to school every day. The school is welcoming and my child is reading two grade levels above. Great teachers, and a great community school.
