The school has a lot of work to do regarding bullying. Teachers tend to look the other way, far more worried about checking off their daily tasks than enriching the lives of the human beings they teach. The administration is the same. They identify the kids who need assistance as the ones they get to kick out when they deviate from the norm rather than deploying interventions. If the child has no governing document (IEP/504) they are quick to subjugate them. It's super pathetic.

My daughter was touched by a teacher her at the school in 2015. Went to court and found him not guilty. Disgusting how we were treated. My daughter is now 20 and still suffers from this. Don't send your kids.

The administration and teachers don't seem to know a whole lot about children and are more concerned with having an easy job and workload. It's pathetic. Bullying is a huge issue here. Neurodiverse children are left in the dust.

My daughter said there is a lot of bullying at this school and the teachers just watch or call the office and don't do anything.

I am a parent of a child who just finished Delaura middle school, I am also a certified teacher, I've had my son in schools all around this great country, Delaura is exponentially the worst one, I struggle to even call it a school. My son is a certified genius in his ace every advanced basement class put in front of him, but he almost failed out of Delaura Middle School.

Absolutelyy insane levels of bullying, and the administration and staff completely ignore it.

The curriculum is garbage, the teachers have no idea what their students are doing, and the administration doesn't even know which students go to their school or not. But according to their Assistant Principle they have plenty of money, staff, and no problems at their school. Guess what? If you can't admit when you have a problem, then you can't fix it, and the problem gets nothing but worse. I'm amazed the school is still standing or that anybody graduates.

If anything they encourage their kids to bully, (It's not bullying, it's boys will be boys {or girls will be girls} and it just builds character) and despite having a mask policy at the school, the assistant principal doesn't wear one, what does that say about following the rules to the kids?

All teachers I encountered were knowledgeable in their field, and could tell you what it was like in the real world, to prepare you in what to expect!

I suppose I was an average student, never had any issues with learning!

I never was bullied, so I would not know about this problem

I went there in 1978, while my father was stationed at Patrick AFB, It was walkable, but I rode my bike to it, and I really enjoyed my experience there!

They had relevant homework, pertinent to what we covered in class!

Character development is built into club activities and curriculum for students to work with each other or for others

DeLaura has far exceeded my expectations! They provide students every single opportunity to do well. Teachers and guidance counselors are supportive and helpful at this difficult time when children are learning to juggle 7 classes. The school employs anti-bullying education and a community feeling. .

I went to Delaura in 8th grade a few years back and all i can say it was a fantastic school you've just got to stay away from drugs which is easy but you can do the work and you'll still have time to screw around with your friends.
