I would not recommend this school for anyone because my kids have been bullied by other kids. I know its a part of growing up but its getting ridiculous. My youngest son has been coming home wanting to throw his sneakers away because he doesnt want to get bullied. Nothing is wrong with his sneakers aside from his laces. I also have another son who is getting bullied by other kids saying that he stinks but he takes showers daily and every morning. He also wears deodorant

Transferred into Creel from another BPS school during Covid; was impressed with teacher & staff communication & overall transition. Extra kudos since covid made everything more unpredictable, but we never felt uninformed on the school front.
Our oldest was pretty behind when he came in to the school, especially from no in person school at the end of prior year during covid, but he made significant gains by the end of the year & was right on grade level expectations when tested! He's always been excited & enthused to go to school there.
I take the overall school ratings (testing related) with a grain of salt as many researchers agree they more often than not show a level of "peer quality" over general "school quality" - which can discount the importance of many, perhaps even more relevant, school factors.
And of course, studies show those with negative experiences (perhaps isolated) are far more likely to leave exaggerated negative reviews than even those with (mediocre) positive reviews. This is true for any online review platform, but a bias all should remember when considering anything of importance.
Also impressed with the school's total construction overhaul this summer - going from an open concept to closed classrooms is a good move.
Keep up the good work Eagles!

Staff is very rude. Bullies are not dealt with. Teaching is slim to none. Child's needs are not being met even after complaint. Bottle of the barrel teachers.

There is no control over misbehaving children. Difficult children just walk out the classroom and run all the school all day. Teachers and administration can't handle them. Food is horrible. If the principal is not there the rest of administration does not know what to do and can't handle school problems. This is a very poor runned school. This school needs an urgent intervention from the district. Do they even read these concerns?

It is a dictatorship by their principal.

No fire drills. Not a good security. Administration not welcoming. The principal should retire and the school board should enforce it since apparently she doesn't want to leave. It seems that the rest of the administration, staff and teachers have their hands tied to make this school better. Front Office is nice and many teachers there are great.

This school is great! My son was treated like family from day one when we transfered. The teachers are very welcoming and hard working. My son has special needs and the administration helped us to get all of his accommodations in place. I would recommend this school for anyone.

If you have a child with a disability.....DO NOT send him/her to this school, I cannot elaborate here why, but all I can do to warn other parents is this, children with disabilities tend not to be able to express thyemselves or when someone is HURTING them, cruel and unusual punishment is not new here with certain staff.

A principal that passes out Mountain Dew on the morning of FCAT and is unapologetic, an Administrator that violates testing rules by visiting classes during FCAT testing, a leader who is unresponsive to calls, emails and letters reporting bullying and harassment of students.. It's a wonder staff hasn't fled to seek other opportunities. I found the teachers -as a whole- to be hard working and dedicated but handcuffed by a bureaucrat who should have been retired (not voluntarily) years ago. The Assistant Principle was accommodating and is well liked by students and staff. He appears level headed, responsive and more than capable. In his hands, this school could begin the rebuilding process. The Department of Ed needs to conduct a site visit and post their assessment for parents to review.

Creel has been a great environment for our 4yr old daughter who was recently diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum. We were never able to leave her in a daycare or preschool prior to Creel.

My daughter is in the 2nd grade and she absolutely loves this school. Fom kindergarden to now the teachers are amazing and the staff is always nice, helpful and friendly. I would never put her anywhere else.

My daughters attend Creel Elementary. I could not ask for a better place to send my daughters. The teachers teach at all levels whether your child is above or below grade level. All staff is kind and respectful to students.
