I am very grateful that my son is part of the Franklin School community. Now in his second year, he continues to learn and grow with the support of dedicated teachers. The school is well-organized and provides a safe environment, which gives our family great confidence. It also offers a variety of clubs, gifted programs, and other opportunities that enrich the students overall experience.

I'm writing this review to support Franklin Academy and provide my opinion on the school. From my perspective, the well-being, educational success, and emotional support of a child are also a parents responsibility not solely the school one, and its important to be actively engaged with the school.

Regarding communication, I actually find the schools emails to be informative and necessarythey ensure parents are aware of important events, updates, and opportunities to support their children. Administration is very easy to reach and consistently responsive whenever I have questions or concerns.

As for fees for field trips, clubs, and sports activities, these are standard for maintaining high-quality programs and experiences. Franklin Academy also offers fundraising opportunities to help offset costs, and the school is transparent about them. The school community is diverse, and while some families may have higher incomes, there are plenty of families who rely on financial support programs to ensure all students can participate.

I have personally seen teachers provide attentive support for students learning and emotional needs. When I needed guidance for my child, the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. The after-school program is well-structured, engaging, and supervised, providing both enrichment and care.

Overall, Franklin Academy has been outstanding for my child. While no school is perfect, I believe that many negative reviews are more a reflection of disengaged or indifferent parents than the quality of the school itself. The staff, administration, and teachers genuinely care about the students and their growth, and Ive consistently experienced that firsthand.

Franklin Academy is an outstanding school! This is my son's 4th year attending, and he absolutely loves both the school and the after-school program. I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews, which mentioned issues like teachers' being not supportive, unprofessional staff, and problems with dismissal. Our experience has been entirely positive. When our family moved to the USA and my son, who was an English language learner, started second grade, Franklin Academy provided tremendous support. We've never encountered any unhelpful behavior from the teachers or anything remotely negative. I'm impressed by the dedication and care Ms. Fox and the entire staff show toward the students and the school. The curriculum is excellent, and I appreciate that the teachers hold students to high standards while being supportive and attentive to their individual needs. Administration is easy to reach and very responsive. Considering the reviews, I can say that this shows parents who do not want to take responsibility for their kids or pay attention to their child's school life. There is no Franklin family clique mentioned in one review; the whole school is a family. I want to thank Franklin Academy for being a fantastic school for my son, and I truly hope that the baseless negative reviews are seen as a reflection of the reviewers rather than the school itself.

Not the school you wanted your kids to be in tons of fights students dont get good grades at at all they try to hide it from the public but there not a good school food is also disgusting if your a parent please please do not send your child to any Franklin academy

Great School with Strong Community Feel

Weve had a really good experience with Franklin Cooper City. Since joining for Kinder in 2022 my son has had a positive expeirence at the school. I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews but you come to realize everyone has a different perspective. I can say I have had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend it. The teachers are caring, dedicated, and clearly put a lot of effort into keeping students engaged in learning.

Communication from the school is consistent and helpful. We always know whats going on, whether its classroom updates, upcoming events, or progress reports.

Another thing we appreciate is how involved parents can be. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer or take part in school activities, which helps build a strong sense of community.

Overall, were happy to be part of this school and feel confident that our child is in good hands.

This is schools is indeed very frustrating. I would like to begin by saying the massive amounts of emails you need to be aware of is insane. It like having a second job. Also everytime there is a field trip you need to pay an additional service fee per child. This also say that 50% of students are of low income families but it doesnt seem to be the case. You have to pay and excessive amount for everything. Whether its field trips or school events, the clubs or even sports activities. Its looks to me that the never heard of fund raising events to benefit the kids for these type of things. Also the dollar a minute of your are late,this is excessive. You can never get a hold of administration. You email they dont give you any support. PTA is ridiculous they are rude they dont care what you have to say. I have struggled with one of my kids and her learning. I have expressed her mental health I ask for feedback from teachers and nothing happens. This is school just doesnt make sense. There after school program as expensive as it is the kids dont to anything. The only reason I leave them there still is because I need them to finish the school year. They really need to evaluate themselves.

Read the reviews on every site and believe them. This has been one of the worst experiences that I have dealt with in a public school setting. You can put Academy in front of it, you can put charter in front of it. It is still a public school no matter what you want to call it.

If you do not have a dependable car, you cannot wait the 45 minutes in a car line, I advise you not to send your child here. If you are not in the Franklin family clique then you will be bullied out and harassed consistently. The principal doesnt picks and chooses and it is impossible to get a hold of administration unless you were consistently calling and emailing daily. The structure they have is organized chaos and it is probably the most unsafe that I have seen in a while with a school, Pembroke Pines is so much better and even the one in sunrise is so much better. I am truly baffled at my experience here.

I hope they meet a parent who advocates more than me and seriously gets the school board involved to investigate certain matters and certain administrators at that school.

I am so happy that I was able to withdraw my child and never look back. Good riddance.

My daughter spent 3 years at this school's campus. The teachers are a mixed bag of good and mediocre teachers, like most schools, I guess. I cannot say there were bad teachers but mediocre ones, yes. The biggest issue IMO is the school's leadership. The principal was a noisy yet ineffective figure in that we knew she was there but were never able to elicit her attention or assistance despite our efforts to do so. This meant that our requests fell on vice-principals who were mostly ineffective in addressing our concerns such as the inability to schedule a conference call with certain teachers. We noticed a definite turn for the worse in the post-covid era as hiring teachers was a challenge for many schools but, again, even a mediocre teacher can do well if the proper leadership is in place and that was not what we witnessed at this campus. So, we made the decision to transfer our child to a private school and are glad to have done so as we've found out that she was actually behind in her scholastic development having to take an additional course that she should've taken in the previous grade at Franklin.
Charter schools were a promised of fresh air to failing public schools, but such promise is giving way to things other than the best interest of the children.

The location and overall look of the Academy is quite impressive. Franklin Academy designed to be an Alma Mater for kids and teens. But the educational part here is missing. School leaders are more focused on superficial things like uniform and discipline than on the academic improvement and education. For example, Algebra class is super boring and over-complicated - the same information could be delivered in a more entertaining and simplified way, so that kids would love it and understand. Spanish class is absolutely waste of time - after two years of learning, my kid (who had A grade in this class) can't answer the simply questions in Spanish, and we live in Florida with 50% of population from Latin-American origin. Ridiculous! Science class is a joke. History - total embarrassment. Add to this - racism and bullying among the students... No, this is not the academic level. We changed school this year and I can see a big difference. School is less fancy and uniform is less stylish, but teachers and staff are more human and more talented, kids really love new school and succeeding in educational process. I love nice design, but the content is far more significant in any case scenario.

I love Franklin Academy CC. My daughter is in kindergarten. she is happy and learning a lot! The teachers are very good and they have wonderful activities all the time!

Sad to have to move my daughter after 4 years at this school . Unfortunately, I believe that the childrens mental health comes last.
Constant assessments/grades come first . There is no time to master skills , just put grades in a book. I have an A student , but the price is no school/life balance .

Terrible this school has alot of drama fights drugs and racism. Its education here is extremely bad and very disorganized. They make them look like a good school by having ridiculous rules like tucking in your shirt having black socks must wear a belt putting your backpack at the end of the wall. If you dont they give you a detention. There's also alot more wrong with this school but it'll be too long that I'll bore you. Parents please dont put your child in this school.

Principal and teachers are pathetic. The teachers show attitude and make faces when they see parents. The teachers have a lot of rivalries. The students are very bad and make up stuff. Very bad atmosphere. It should close down.

seems to be systematic of many elm schools. Teachers who are placed incorrectly in subjects they should not be teaching. There are teachers in this school that should not be teaching Mathematics or ELA courses. One of the Mathematics teachers in the elm school is very outgoing, reaches out to parents and is in communication constantly. However, the results of many of the students are C to F grades throughout the school year. Parents are at a loss on what to do as seemly the only option is to hired expensive tutors, not all families can afford to pay a tutor to reteach what should have been taught in class.
