never recommending it here. they take ages to accommodate students for college prep and they absolutely will ignore your student if they want to pursue performing or visual arts. no wonder they have written reviews off lol.

This school is horrible with everything.
They are extremely unorganized, they lack simple communication, and they do not go the extra mile in ANY way for their students.

There is a reason they turned off their google reviews. Safe yourself a ton of time and headaches and go somewhere else.

In my experience at Bell Creek Academy, middle school was pretty cool. However, that was really only because every class I was going to was a class of goofing off. I think it's sadly RARE to get a class where I had learned and had fun, and the administrations lack of attention towards class changes or issues with the teachers were also rare as ever. Multiple teachers have been fired (or not even paid attention to for their weird acts because of lack of help) or have quit, and from my experience, only the good teachers really left because the school was that bad. I AM currently in high school, this was not just a middle school experience, so I've got a lot to review from. I think what annoyed me the most was the admins down right AUDACITY to treat students with loads of disrespect and then expect respect back, God forbid a kid would Laugh too loud in the cafeteria, you'd then receive Silent Lunch. Kids talk. get over it.

Also, if you're looking for a fun time, bell creek does not have that either :D! The events you may hope to attend are almost always *way* too expensive and not worth it, or they set a million limitations on everything as well, it leads to a very boring time. Even the pep rally's! Again, God forbid everyone's "too loud", now you have to go inside. The only good thing I can say about this school were the few good teachers, as well as the academic areas, but don't expect to try and get ahead! This school does not allow students to take online classes that they do not offer, and they take forever to approve drivers ed, which is funny for such a small school when public schools clearly can handle it. Also the so called "electives" do not have your kids do really *anything* in the classes from what I have taken or been told, the best you'll get is an art class and maybe band, but theatre? only the *club* was enjoyable.

Here is a list of REAL experiences I have had at this school.
- My science teacher would simply put up notes and that'd be your entire learning experience for the day and she would scream all of the time.
- My Math teacher tried to get me into trouble for laughing
- Civics teacher would be RUDE and SASSY
- My grades would not be put in for at least a MONTH after turning it in, and the excuse would always be "I have a life outside of school" like I don't as well? It was ridiculous and always at the end of quarters when it mattered most, having me stress till the end and constantly remindin a grown adult to do their job on time.

Good school and the teachers really care, but the Administration, mainly the principal run the school like a prison camp. The students and teachers are constantly bullied by the Principal and her little group of Yes Men. The Principal really only cares about awards that the school can get and doesn’t care about the average student.

My son has been in this school since the 6th grade! He has ADHD, and the tutoring days the teachers offer are life-changing for him. The staff care and want to see your child succeed! We love Bell Creek!!!

My child has been at this school since 6th grade. They are in high school now. My child has excelled and blossomed over the years. It’s a small school and I believe the staff really does care about their students. While the elective classes are limited, they still offer options to meet a lot of goals and open new points of view. When my child was given the option to switch schools at the beginning of high school, they declined, and wanted to stay at Bell Creek through graduation, especially since they were able to start dual enrollment in 9th grade. BCA isn’t perfect, no school is, but I’m so happy my child was able to attend and thrive at BCA.

Been here since 6th grade. The administration is terrible! They have their heads up their behinds as far as policies. Teachers are leaving (I have lost 1/4 of my teachers) because of how garbage the administration is. They disturb class time by randomly surging into rooms interrupting class time to enforce their phone policies. Micromanaging like this accomplishes nothing! The test scores and academics is truly just projected. We don’t even have a trigonometry teacher. Now not even going to talk about the 80% budget put into the football team, or the barely functional laptops that the school keeps on buying. Both of them suck by the way. The events in school are also mediocre at best. Our class hasn’t had a field trip since 8th grade, and the homecomings/prom are very low quality, this is debatable to some but, in my opinion they’re low quality. But one good thing I can say is that they have dual enrollment, which is good if you want free college courses. However, the clubs are limited and I already brought up how limited the extracurricular activities were.

I would NOT recommend this school. My children transferred in & it took almost 4 months for them to place my children in the correct classes. The administration cares more about having the kids come to school w the proper attire than actually caring about them. The teachers have poor communication & will fail their students rather than care about them. The leaders are like this & it’s discouraging to the students. Even as an active parent this was a tough school to adjust. Do not send your child if they have an IEP. They have limited services & will remove your child from their IEP & try to fail them instead. Really frustrating experience.

I highly recommend Bell Creek Academy School. My three kids have attended the school and they have excelled with the curriculum that they have provided. Thank you to the teachers and staff for the amazing job.

My daughter has been at Bell Creek for 5 years and will be graduating next year. She has excelled there. Small class sizes, challenging curriculum, and teachers that care. Only negative I can say is lack of communication, although they are working on it.

Teachers are hard to get in touch with. Everything is based on apps and it is annoying. We don't want to stay in touch or even have our kids have to keep up with homework that is based on apps on your cell phones. What if you don't have or want a cell phone with all the app stuff or even for your kids yet? They base their grades off of these apps to download that kids have to use to pass their classes and it is absolutely ridiculous. Our kids wont be going here next year.

Homework is app posted on three different apps that makes no sense. Too technology based and is unnecessary. Send you wrong link codes to access homework and then you can't get in touch with them about it and then they give your kids bad grades for it.

So far, I am not impressed with this school. I chose it for the test score ratings and it has been a disaster so far. Communication with the teachers is near impossible and then everything being based on cell phone with a bunch of apps to download in order to get homework to me is annoying. Keep it simple. They tell you to download remind app, then in remind app they tell you to download google classroom for homework, then another app for this and another for grades and you can't communicate with them through these apps. If your child doesn't have a cell phone then they will fail at this school because they will give you a bad grade for not accessing their assignments through these apps. My daughter had to literally take her ipod to school to give to the teacher to set up her class codes to access assignments because she was not getting credit for stuff. Really?? School shouldn't be based through that. Cell phone usage with apps or even ipods should be optional. They charge a fee for EVERYTHING from lockers, lab fees, books, music rentals, and if you don't have exactly the correct supplies, they give you bad grades for it. It makes no sense.

This school is a disaster. The best thing we ever did was pull our child from this school. The leadership is terrible and there is high teacher turnover. The music program is a joke and the arts are not supported at the school. They brag about test scores, but kick out the kids that can't perform. Any school that filters their enrollment can have high test scores. It isn't a result of their curriculum or teaching. They looked the other way when our child was being bullied. They also don't follow IEPs, which is illegal! Do yourself a favor and scratch this off the list as an option for you kid.

My son is in the 7th grade if I could do over would've sent him somewhere else. Parents and students beware the school is a blocked schedule. This year Monday through Thursday is 4 classes 90 minutes each class. Fridays are normal class schedules.

I think the scores alone speak tremendously about the teachers and administration. The test scores are consistently far beyond state and county average. The teachers and administration are dedicated to the success of the students.

Not only does the school lack in compassion towards their advanced students, many of the advanced students in advanced classes did not wish to be put in there. In middle school, the administration doesn't care about if you think you can handle the advanced academic, they put you there for the good ratings. And then, when you fail the class, they don't let you retake the class on FLVS or even adknowledge that you are actually having problems with the course. They just write you off as lazy even though you told them that you couldn't do the classes. In addition, the teachers are constintly rotating around like clockwork, as if they can't keep any of the good ones. All of the new teachers are terrible in leadership and they do not understand what it is like to be a child in those shoes. Not all of the teachers are bad, but the ones who are good will most likely leave the following year. During my time in their Middle School, only 3 of my teachers from 7th grade stayed by the end of my time there. No joke. The school also holds high standards to their students that even the best of them cannot do. Students are not allowed to sit where they want, they have a 30 minute lunch period, and students are not allowed to even learn in the classes. Teachers give major busy work that doesn't even apply to the courses. Teachers and administration are not concered at all with bullying or how students feel, because at the end of the day, it is the schools fault their students cannot pass any tests. Also, the only autistic student there is constintly picked on by students. Adminestration and teachers did little to nothing to ensure the taunting stopped. The middle school Galileo Program is a good head start for students who actually have a chance at completing the courses, with Pre- Algebra 6th grade, Algebra and Physical Science 7th grade, and Biology and Geometry in 8th grade. However, I have seen my best friends fail and cry over the classes because teachers failed to deliver, and that they didn't even ask to be in the class in the first place. Bell Creek attempts to seem elite and a good school, but really, they are just terrible in leadership, compassion, and their Middle School is terrible unless you are smart enough and emotionally compact, so you don't have mental breakdowns every night. Basically, do not send your child here. This school is a complete joke.

All of the homework that is given is all online, thus cheating. Even more so, the homework never has anything to do with the course in question. Only the supposedmy terrible classes, Science and Math, actually have the "fun" and worthwhile parts of homework over all of the other classes.

BCA is an amazing school in many ways. It provides our children with a quality education that far exceeds other schools in our area. The teachers are caring, gifted and use evidenced based practices in their instruction. We are also thrilled with the opportunity of the Galileo Program. Bell creek does not have a rigorous or hands on curriculum. The school is too poor to afford materials or curriculum to better the students.

Bell Creek is the perfect school for students needing a more engaging, hands on and rigorous curriculum than the public schools in Hillsborough currently provide. There is great emphasis placed on student-based learning centers and interactive critical thinking. This is the school if you are looking for an advanced, college-prep curriculum for your child. Lessons are data-driven and cater to individual students. As a teacher, I enjoy teaching what is best for my students instead of from a canned curriculum like Hillsborough county schools.

This is the place to go if you want your student to get a truly college-prep experience.

The teachers and administration have extremely high standards, so you should stay away if you're not ready to work hard.

BCA has made great improvements with the new administration. The school has espoused wonderful goals and values for the upcoming year. BCA has used the high parental involvement to create a caring school environment. Anytime a parent has a question or concern the admin listens and takes care of it immediately. The new admin has created high expectations for teachers and students and therefore created a culture for learning. BCA has had some changes; however they have all been for the best. Any aggravations that parents may currently have are a direct result of the previous administration. The new admin has been working diligently to make improvements and I believe that the future of Bell Creek will be bright.

My son is in his 3rd year at this school. The only good thing I can say is the kids are great. he has made some nice friends with caring parents. Most of us had planned on our kids going there through high school. This will not be happening. There are some good teachers, but unfortunately the administration is terrible. They are not there to help the students succeed and want nothing to do with the parents. The front office people are so rude to both students and parents. The blond haired woman has no business dealing with people. If you ask a question she acts like you are bothering her. No wonder so may people are pulling their kids out. It is a shame because this had the potential of being a good school. I just don't get it.

I have a new 6th grader here this year. I heard a lot of good and bad before we decided to accept the placement here. Several staffing changes occurred late in the 2014-2015 school year but I have been underwhelmed at the current staff's approach to teaching so far.

They seem uber-focused on turning in papers in all sizes and shapes and actually give a 0 as a 1st grade to students if they don't turn in a signed syllabus. Multiply that by 8 classes, including PE and your student is looking at failing the first week of school.

Their policy of no late homework accepted is only partially sensible. I get it from a school-wide policy and consistent y but a student can't turn in anything after the 1st 10 minutes of class or its a 0.???? There's a limit to sensibility here and this defies logic. I even have a good student who handles his work almost solely on his own even in the 6th grade. He's done so without a lot of work on my part for a couple years now - he's just that organized and "gets it." In this case an A/B student has quickly become a C student with a D because of a ridiculous list of no grade items that he had. I saw them. He took them in and still got 0. In one case within the 1st week of school a teacher actually told him he was lazy after he got lectured abour not turning in the syllabus in his 1st class.

I've never seen my son be lazy in school and approaching a new student like this the 1st week was appalling to me. He's not a high schooler with years of experience in this crazy protocol, he's in his 1st week of 6th grade where he has 8 classes and 8 teachers. Oh and where he didn't even get his class schedule until the 1st day of school!

Not sure I love this school but so far we are working hard to figure it out.

This is my third year at Bell Creek, I have an 8th grader and a 6th grader there now, I wouldn't send my children anywhere else. My oldest has done very well and my youngest is adjusting just fine. I highly recommend any parent to investigate and get more information if you are not happy with the current school or school your child will be going into

There has been lots of change. I have heard that students got new teachers, but my son did not. This is his second year there and we LOVE the teachers. Best he has EVER had. They do have some issues that the new admin. seems to be fixing. However, I care about the teachers as that's who has the impact on my son, and I couldn't ask for better. Amazing! Ignore the front office staff. They can be rude, but your child will rarely if ever have to deal with them.

My children will be going to a public school next year that should tell you something about this school. In 2 years it has been a very rough road I will say. I totally agree with comments about the attitude this school has taken with the sports side of things. I had a child in 2 different sports there last year and although she was a very good athlete she was not given much of a chance to play. Kids who had parents as teachers or volunteered at the school however played all the time. And why were we promised a gym but got a baseball field instead, how ridiculous!!! As for teachers I would say we have been very lucky. Had a few bad but the good definitely out weighed the bad and some of the ones we have I would say are the best I have ever had,making sure my child stays on task and contacting me when my child was sick about work he missed. I have had excellent communication with all the teachers I have tried to contact. I am hoping this new administration will get this school to where it should be. I have another one going there next year, which will make 2 kids total attending, but this will be the final year I give this school a chance. There comes a time like others have said that we have to stop being your guinea pigs. You need to be getting right , no more excuses.

From a student's point of view, I have to agree with what other students are saying - worst school I've ever been to. It's not because of administration (although, some of them could work on their people skills) but it's because of things they don't see or are seeing but aren't fixing. I've been in a few classes where there would be a different teacher every quarter, leaving all of us confused as to what we're learning (since every teacher has a different teaching style). Besides that, many teachers aren't teaching us in a interactive way. How is throwing us a packet with questions to answer everyday a good way to teach? I'm surprised how they're getting a Cambridge program next year when they can't even teach a regular class. Hopefully those Cambridge classes don't end up like the gym they promised to build (pst... it's nonexistent). Speaking of gyms, Bell Creek doesn't show the music department enough love. I have friends in there, and I know they work so hard but the sports department gets all the recognition (don't get me wrong, sports are cool but music's gotta have some love too). Point is, this school could do better if they work on things that actually need to be fixed.

Okay... as a student at BCA, i would like to express my point of view coming from being here since it opened. I have gone through so many teachers. They do not care about how us as students, whether we fail or not. The front office people are rude and do not treat parents who put their money and children in this school. So many children are being bullied and they do almost nothing about it. The assemblies are rubbish and basically highschool there is not the real high school experience. Please... don't let your child's middle and/or highschool life rot away here.

Worse decision ever I made to sign my kids up for this school. My kids have gone through teachers like dirty underwear. The teachers that are there don't care about the students. When emailing teachers they don't reply and then the last week of a 9 week they want to tell you your child is failing. They don't try to help the struggling children. The staff have attitudes with parents. They are unorganized and when my child has turned work in the teacher loses it and gives them an F. The office is just as unorganized. At first I thought it was due to it being a new school but no its the school and the staff they hired. Its always give them money but never want to talk about the children's learning. What they advertised they did not have. Just until lately when too many parents complained they then brought in the Cambridge program but no one has answers to the parents questions about it. There's nothing nice to say about this school.

This is from our (student) point of view of things. It is very shocking that our "Principal" left the school. And the teachers are not the problem. It is the staff. The ladies in the front office and rude and not helpful at all. My parent did not get the survey and it says on the notification that if you don't get it then call the office and they will give you a code... and they couldn't even do that. I understand that it is a new school and there will be some kinks in they system but some of this stuff is crazy. There is NO communication with the school. And I love this school but some things *cough* (front office) *cough* need to be fixed. ;-) And hopefully this new Principal will do some good. (and put in some student parking for soon-to-be drivers.) ;-D

I am rating based on first impressions. I just got back from dropping some paperwork off at the school. I actually read these bad reviews but still wanted to give this school a try since after speaking with the school this week they assured me there was a great new Principal and I was going to the meeting tonight to ask questions and see for myself. I arrived at the school around 4:15 today(4/16/2015) only to be greeted with a blank stare from an older blondish lady who seemed annoyed that we had entered the office. I told her I was there to drop some paperwork off for Beth and she just seemed so annoyed and unfriendly. This is a horrible first impression for a parent. I even tried to engage her in conversation and asked about the clubs at the school, etc. She was just plain annoyed that we were there and to be honest I think this has made my decision that my daughter who is an excellent student and currently in a gifted program, will not be attending. If this is any indication of what is to come at this school, no thank you. I don't care if you had had a long day, that was no way to treat a prospective parent!!

If you are new to the area, please disregard the review below. It is obviously being written by someone from the company Charter School Associates. They have "promising" these programs since my child enrolled there. now my son is well into high school years and we regret our decision. I will be pulling him out for the following school year in hopes that we can get him the classes he needs to attend a decent college. A new guidance counselor? They never had one until they supposedly have on now! I refuse to continue letting me child be a guinea pig for this school. Unless your child is the star of a sport here, you are ignored. Guess what mother of "sports heroes" at Bell Creek, your kid will not flourish or get noticed by colleges by playing a sport here. I think I would know since I have two kids currently playing a sprrt in college.

This school has a new principal, two new assistant principals, and a new counselor. The principal is very experienced and comes from another charter school with the same configuration. I hope the community and the students give this new leadership team the opportunity to make Bell Creek Academy, the wonderful school is has the potential to be. Bell Creek Academy will be launching its Cambridge Program (the only one in the county) and its new academies of Business, Law, and Environmental Science this coming school year. We need Panther Pride to prevail!

I am so relieved to hear people voice their honest opinions here! I was beginning to think I was the only one who feels this way. We moved here from another state and from a charter school there so I've been through being part of a new school before but I feel like we are just keeping a float here. I know this could be a really great school. I was hoping Dr. Blinder would've been a part of it but if we stick together and go to meetings and the boardeetings we can have our voices heard. I am willing to help!

What is going on with this school? Why are so many teachers resigning? The first and second math teacher assigned to my child have both suddenly resigned and now a substitute is teaching the math class. Today I find out my child's Spanish teacher has resigned. The Principal and Vice Principal have resigned along with other staff. My child has to adjust to all these teacher changes which is a distraction to their learning. It makes me wonder if any learning is going on at all. I am not happy about this and especially not happy about finding this out from my child and not the school. Again, another example of the lack of communication with parents! I am beginning to wonder if there will be any teachers left by the end of the school year.

I have no issues with my child's behavior at school and although my child is above average academically (only mentioned this to express I am not dealing with a troubled student) this school is terrible when communicating with the majority of the staff, from some of the teachers, all office staff from the receptionist to the principle and even although they are volunteers, the PTSO. The school claims they encourage parent involvement but I don't believe that is true. If it's all good they are in but if there is something questionable they seem to ignore the issue. I do respect the families that are having a good experience and wish we could say the same about our experiences. With the school only in it's second year it does not make it excusable for the lack of communication, lack of organization and rude comments from some teachers to the students. My kid has attended a first year brand new large school and even though there may of been hiccups the overall experience was enjoyable and everyone seemed to be motivated, respectful to a parents/child's concern and eager to make it a positive professional experience for all. The majority of my kids teachers are good.

the school is a greAt school. do i think there is room for improvement yes.. Then again this is there 2nd year open. just as any school including Valrico Academy . I was w valrico since day 1 and the first two years were a nightmare. I have spoken w the CSA administration and have never felt so sure about keeping my child at bell creek and bringing my 5th grader. The staff is always available to speak w you.With teachers I have ALWAYS had great communication w the teachers . anytime i have had a question i have received a response. There is a family feel every time i go in from the lunch staff .. To sports staff.. To administration and staff . It is great to know i can ask about my son and they know who he is. In any public school ( this is a PUBLIC SCHOOL CHARTER with a PRIVATE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT) my son would be just another face out of the 2000 kids. I think that if as a parent i want my child in a better environment. Than public school System offers with a more challenging curriculum and the opportunity to complete college classes by the time he graduates , then Bell Creek Is the answer. I do think that there is room for improvement which Will come with time.

My kids have been in Bell Creek since it opened. My son has never encountered a problem. For those parents saying that bullying occurs I can say that I have not heard of a bullying problem whether it was from my kids Or the parents i know that attend. In addition the school is a safe environment. There are cameras in every hall way in which if I as a parent I am concerned about the safety of my child I know that it will be on video. The asst principal that left was due to a promotion . Every time I have ever needed to get information regarding my son grades or class work I have always received a response from the teachers. I look forward to the positive future of Bell Creek. For those parents who have concerns I strongly encourage to meet w administration. I asked for an Appt via email on Monday and met with them today. The communication has always been like this . My son loves the school and my 5 Th. grader will be transferring in to 6th. Parents that have never been should really go to the school and make their own opinions. I

I love that when my kids leave the house in the morning, I know that they are entering a safe school with stellar academics. My kids love the sports programs in the school and adore their technology and art classes. When they are struggling, the school offers tutoring- for free! The school is advertised as a public school with a private setting, and that really is so true. I have met with the Dean Mrs. Strawn and she is so knowledgeable, compassionate, and resourceful. I am so glad that she is at the school ensuring that my kids get an education of only the highest quality. If you are looking for a safe and rigorous learning environment to prepare your child for college- you cannot beat BCA!

1) The online homework thing is terrible. It's not organized nor consistent, and sometimes the service doesn't even work. The haphazard way they implement this too much stress and responsibility for an 11 year old. 2) They constantly squeeze money from you. The official school uniforms are over priced and mandatory and the field trips are way over priced just to name a couple things. Before you read #3, understand my wife is a tenured Hillsborough county public school teacher and as a result, my expectations of a school and it's staff are very informed and reasonable. 3) The staff. They are rude, condescending, closed minded, and make it very clear that they expect me to be grateful for letting my daughter attend their school. Any time I've voiced a concern or had a question, they've made zero effort to explain any decisions or actions I inquired about. I am summarily dismissed by Dr Blinder with an insulting "We disagree" with no explanation or effort to help me understand his policies and decisions. And the rest of the staff echoes his leadership. They do things their way and if you don't like it, tough. This is a bad school.

I was so disappointed with Bell Creek after having such a positive experience at Valrico Academy. My daughter was bullied in the halls and the stairwell by kids in an older grade. I went to see the VP and she told me if they didn't know the kids names, they couldn't help her. Even the band instructor looked the other way when my daughter got her earned 3rd chair position stolen by a bully girl. She was told they would have to challenge which never happened! My daughter got a 5 on FCAT and got a letter from Duke Tip. The letter was just handed to my daughter without any instruction. Only once we moved to Mulrennen, did we find out that this is actually a big deal and they have a tutoring group twice a week my daughter goes to until she takes the SAT in January. This school failed my daughter both academically and emotionally. It is only now that she is flourishing at her new school that she is starting to come out of the dark place the bullying put her in. I should charge the school for counselling! Mulrennen put my daughter in all honors classes and she is flourishing.

This school is a total night mare, my kids have to print out all of their homework assignment at home. They even say that They are a paperless school. Very unorganized school and They don't have a high school type setting. I don't understand the whole entire online thing. Where you have to pay for everything online. Bell Creek has been a blessing for us. The teachers and staff are tremendously overworked, but they are the most dedicated bunch I've seen. There have been bumps with Edline and some schedule changes, but come to the school on a daily basis. You'll see the interaction is far superior to anything you can find out in the local public schools.

I have NEVER had anything but a positive experience with all of my child's teachers. They have grown a lot this year, and there have been a few hiccups. They are extremely hardworking and dedicated. Are they perfect? No. But they strive to improve daily and always have the kids in mind. Orientation was a little disorganized this year. The cafeteria was leaking and the new building was not done yet (the construction company's fault). Schedules were done, but they were told to change them to a new system at the last minute. Teachers and administration were at the school past midnight getting this all done. I know because I saw tons of cars in the parking lot when making an emergency run one night to Walgreens. I have not ever witnessed school personnel being rude. I have on numerous occasion witnessed parents being so for things honestly that are their own fault or out of the school's control. Some parents want the school to do every little thing for their child. This is a middle and high school, not a daycare. My child loves it here and loves his teachers. He wants to go to school every day. They produce leaders, not FCAT robots.

We are very disappointed with Bell Creek, but there is no alternative for us locally. Coming from Valrico Academy across the street, this was a huge let down. Hope things get better soon or we will have to look elsewhere.

Do not waste your time at Bell Creek Academy! The school is a unorganized mess, with rude staff and administration. Teachers and some administration were fired, causing a big mess involving student's schedules. Parents are now expected to print out worksheets and homework for the child since the administration is pushing the teachers to enforce this rule. Isn't that the front office's job? Your child will get a parent-teacher notification if they don't have their shirt tucked in at all times. Yes, I understand that it was in the handbook. But isn't that a bit to extreme? Car line is absolutely horrible. Both middle school and high school must stand outside while they call numbers. The numbers system is useless. How can the students hear the speakers if they're outside? If your child holds up carline then they're followed by a staff member who is following and yelling them all the way to the car. The school is strictly work and doesn't offer anything that real middle and high schools offer. I thought that this would be a top notch school for my child, but I guess not.

This school has the worst staff of any school my kids have attended so far. Every person I've encountered whether it was the woman behind the desk, one of my child's teachers or even the principal has been condescending, arrogant, and unpleasant to be around. For some reason everyone there acts like they are doing you a favor letting your child attend. One day while on campus, I witnessed a male teacher grab a kid by the hood on his jacket and scream into his face. If my child came home and told me that happened to them, I'd call the police! Stay far, far away from this joke of a school.

Excellent school with an amazing principal and staff who care and go the extra mile. I can't really say enough on this point. Perfect? No school is perfect, but we've never felt our kids academic, athletic, or social needs went unaddressed at Bell Creek. The schedule format (A-B) is university-like and the curricula engaging in a way that seems to drive students to much deeper understanding. Like any parent we want the best for our kids. We have several other good school options in the area, but chose Bell Creek.

Best school in the area! Starting with the car line in the morning and ending with it in the afternoon, the staff is outside with smiles on their faces greeting the kids and parents daily. When you walk in the school you are met with professionalism and a positive attitude. The front office will eagerly answer any any questions you have or direct to the answer if they do not know it. Considering they are faced with rude and disrespectfulness daily, they try to keep it positive and inviting. The teachers and administration go above and beyond the daily requirements to see that the children are learning at the highest level possible and actively engaged in every step of the process. Unlike a lot of schools, the children' hands are not held. They are given responsibility and expectations are should be relaying them home. This is life skill being taught. I could not be happier with my decision to send my two children to Bell Creek Academy.

If you are zoned for Roger's Middle School then this school is a great alternative. It's our first year at the school and I'll admit it was a rocky start. I do believe though that most of the problems have been resolved and that my child is learning a lot and is in a safe environment to do it in. The office staff have been very helpful and every teacher I've met with has seemed very qualified and dedicated to giving my child the best education possible. I would NEVER allow my children or any child I cared about to attend Rogers and again, between the three charter schools available in the area, I believe Bell Creek to be the best.

I love the teachers at this school. But I think the 2 ladies in the front office should get there act together or get a new job. the school is new and they still have some kinks to work out but hopefully they will do something about the long long long car line. all in all my son loves the teachers has a few problems with students the the teachers don't see but i love this school

This school is wonderful! The teachers are great, the staff are great, and the overall education value for students here is top notch. I'm not saying to take my opinion over others, but from what I've seen this school deserves to be called one of the best charter schools in the Hillsborough area. Will the school does have a few kinks here and there they always find a way to make themselves up. The staff at the front are also wonderful people and can really do a great job if you give them a second or two to catch up with the flocks of parents that come in. I also would like to deeply thank the front office women who constantly put up with all the negative comments they get on this webpage and I just want to say that I appreciate your services to this school. For future reference you should never just automatically say negative things about employees at any business. We all have are bad days and sometimes dealing with endless amounts of parents and students can put a person on the edge. New to Florida as well and wish I had known as well! It all sinks in why it was so easy for my son to be accepted. This charter school needs guidance, new attitudes and lessons on professionalism! Staff and faculty are extremely rude and act as if they are so much better than you, the parent. Very UNORGANIZED AND NO COMMUNICATION! They expect students, parents to log into Edline and print the assignments and different worksheets. If I'm not mistaken I provided two reams of copy paper at the beginning of the year. Not did I have to provide what was listed but I also had to buy more after my son started school. If that's the case and I'm using "my" ink and paper I should allow him to attend virtual school. The car line is horrific in the AM and PM! Instead of trying to look cute and priss around the parking lot, maybe you should concentrate on calling my sons number everyday, that's the Dean of the school. The staff who are directing and guiding traffic act if that's to much to ask. The male teachers are always screaming to get kids attention if they didn't hear the number the first time. They can't hear because you are screaming obnoxiously that I can hear it over my radio!

This school is a JOKE!!! The Principle and office staff are very unprofessional and rude. The teachers are barely qualified.The quality has declined greatly from last year . They didn't even have enough teachers to teach all the subjects up to two weeks after school started. I can't wait to get my kid out of this school.

New to Florida & wished I had know someone to ask about this school before I wasted my time. The school has been open 1 year, such an admin nightmare, open house was confusing and had no schedules printed for the students, staff giving out wrong info to frustrated parents, disorganized, rude front desk staff. I went in believing details written on website only to find the special tracks of law, marine biology, business, only happen in 11th grade. They don't even have 11th and 12th grade yet!! No gym, pitiful sports field and low division co-ed sports teams. FCAT scores not better than good public schools. Waited 70 mins in car line the first week to pick up kids because lack of intelligence on the planning committee to staggering start/stop times of the schools and to have more than 1 bottleneck entrance to that school. Everything is everyway was an unorganized mess with overcrowded classes. Messy open house and a week at school was enough for us. Uniform company just as bad. Met a few really nice teachers, but this school is far lacking in its goals and vision and will need a few years to accomplish that IF they have proper leadership. Not wasting time until then.

They do NOT focus solely on teaching to pass the FCAT like most public schools do, yet they have one of the best FCAT scores per child in the county. My daughters have always received 4's on the FCATs while in public school and since being at Bell Creek these last two years BOTH kids have earned 5's on both Math and Reading. It's amazing what can happen when you simple teach a child to learn instead of cramming FCAT down their throats and causing children anxiety over a test all year. Couldnt praise this school enough!!
