Grateful to finally have our kids almost out of this school. The Dean should not be employed. Terrible leadership and guidance. No focus on lessons and helpful education. Ratings are decreasing rapidly and I would not send my kids here again if I had the choice.

Amazing school and staff! My son has learned so much in 6 months coming from other schools in St Johns county! This is by far the best one!

Amazing team who does an excellent job finding the best approach to meet each student's individual needs. They have done more for my son in one year than our former school had done in the past three.

There are a few issues that certainly need to be addressed. I would suggest more conversations about what defines bullying.

Overall our experience has been extremely positive. Excellent teachers and support staff and a wonderfully involved PTO. One issue, and one that most of the older students that I speak with share, is that they do not feel as if they are getting a real "middle school" experience. Also, I may not always agree with the administrative decisions, however it's easy for us as parents to throw stones. We are not the ones trying to make decisions for an entire school full of children, not just our own. I do believe they do the best job they can ... for the most part. They are human after all.

I have three children at this school for the past three school years. We have not had a bad teacher yet. My kids enjoy their school, and the administration is helpful in answering questions regarding their educational path. Two of my children have dealt with temporary developmental delays, and both of them are now thriving. Great school with a great learning philosophy and terrific teachers. Glad to be a VRA parent!

Almost everytime homework is assigned, it is not graded. Instead, if you do it, you receive points, and with those you can get fun toys, or outdoor lunches, things like that. But if you don't do your homework, there are no negative repercussions! Only a diciplinary warning that does nothing other than inform anyone who looks at their child's account that they didn't do it. And there is no escalation. So if a child had parents who didn't care, they could just spend the whole year not doing homework, and never be in trouble for it

In the case of a student misbehaving the administration's preferred and almost singular tactic is to intimidate and scare the children into obidience.

I feel as if the main problem in the school is not the general staff, like teachers, nor is it with the students, but rather with the administrative staff, and if that aspect of the school was improved, that would certainly warrant a revision of this review
