Do not go here, the school only cares about their national ranking. The school scams its students and their parents using fundraisers and hidden fees. Don't trust the other 5 star rating for they are from 3-6years ago, go to the earlier ratings and you will see they are all bad.

Green Tree Charter Prep was one of the worst school experiences Ive had.

The bullying was completely out of control. I was literally locked in a bathroom by other girls and nothing meaningful was done about it. Staff acted like it was normal or just something students had to deal with, multiple girls involved didnt even get a suspension.

There was zero individuality. Everyone was expected to look and act the same, and the only jacket we were allowed to wear was a thin, overpriced school one that did nothing in cold weather. Heaven forbid you tried to express yourself or stay warm.

Most of the good teachers eventually left, and after that it felt like no one actually cared about the students anymore. The environment felt unsafe, and stressful instead of supportive.

There were also staff members who made students uncomfortable, Specifically our male physical education coach; and concerns were brushed aside instead of taken seriously. That alone shouldve been a red flag.

Another huge problem is that being a charter school, it didnt actually prepare students for real high school. The workload, structure, and expectations were nothing like what you face later, so the transition felt like getting dropped into a completely different world with no warning.

Instead of teaching us how to manage real classes, real schedules, and real responsibility, it felt overly controlled and sheltered in the wrong ways. When I got to high school, I realized how unprepared I was compared to students who came from normal public middle schools.

If youre thinking about going here, honestly just go to a regular public middle school. Youll get more realistic experience, more freedom to grow as a person, and a better idea of what high school is actually like. This place does not set you up for the future, it just makes middle school harder than it needs to be.

I wouldnt recommend this school to anyone who wants to feel respected, protected, or treated like an actual human beings. Thats all I have to say.

Greentree has been nothing but great when it comes to the education and well being of our child. Our child was bullied at the previous school and the old administration did not respond. Greentree staff and administration took our child under their wing and have helped our child thrive! There are many changes at the school from the past, so the reviews we see from many years ago are invalid. We see how they are working to make the school better each year and ensure curriculum is challenging, but also how they focus on friendships and the social emotional well being of students. There are opportunities for after school clubs, and many family friendly events. The class sizes are manageable and not over crowded like other public and charter schools. They accommodate for gifted and ESE students/twice exceptional. The lunches are healthy. The rules are reasonable. The car line is not an hour long. The downsides are activities like music or library are minimal or as an after school club, no high school program, and peers may live far away for playdates, but considering everything else, we really cannot complain. Worth looking at this school for your child if you want that private school feel without the high cost. Highly recommend!

My daughter started first grade in Greentree Prep, loves her teacher, and enjoys going to school.
Greentree is a small school and has that family feel. The entire staff knows your child and their parents by name. These smaller classes allow room for
children to accelerate because they receive tons of individual attention. We plan to stay with Greentree thru middle school! I feel like I found a gem of a school! I have recommended them to many other parents, some of who enrolled and love it too!

My son attends Greentree Charter Preparatory now for a year. He is in first grade and in Ms Shores class. I truly do love the school. The staff is amazing and my son has truly been enjoying his time here. The staff is so attentive and the work is challenging which I love. My son is on a 3rd grade reading level. The school is very interactive with the kids and have many fun activities that my son absolutely loves it. He will definitely be attending again next year.

Both my kids go to this school. My son started since kindergarten. My daughter from 3rd grade, as she felt she wasn't being challenged at her previous school. My son used to struggle with some subjects and was given the help he needed. He's so much better now and loves the school and teachers. My daughter loves the challenges she's presented and makes her want to achieve more. We love the school!

We continue to be impressed with the advanced
curriculum used at this school. Our son has been there since kindergarten and he is now in 3rd grade, he has benefited greatly from the small classroom setting that provides a more intimate learning experience! I would highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a hands on learning experience.

My daughter started kindergarten at Greentree, she needed extra help when she started. She is now in first grade and I am extremely happy and grateful to all of her teachers and tutors at school (Ms. Martinez, Mrs. Shore, and Mrs. Garcia). Thanks to all of them and to my daughter's efforts, she is now a Principal's honor roll student. The school is small, family oriented they push my daughter to be the best version of herself,her confidence is higher, she is very interested in learning new things at school with her classmate.

The teachers and staff are very communicative, so you always have an in-depth knowledge of what is going on in the classroom and around campus.

I highly recommend this school.

Greentree prep has been an amazing school for my daughter. It has a great curriculum, small classes and friendly staff. My daughter has had great teachers since kindergarten and she is now in second grade. This year we did distance learning and I feel like their system has worked very well. My daughter is engaged and still enjoying school. We are very happy here and highly recommend it!

The school has been a fantastic experience during the most difficult times of Covid. From the zoom classes to their in-class learning, they deserve all the praise. Excellent in handling the pandemic to the best of their capabilities. My daughter likes going to school and Ive noticed shes excelling for her young age in kindergarten. The pick up and drop of is well organized and the staff is friendly. Im happy to write this review as a way of saying thanks for all of their efforts.

This school and they teachers have teach my little girl responsibility and freedom to express herself, in her young age (6) they give them challenges and projects that I feel help them to develop more, and give them security when they speaking and express themselves in any environment.

Greentree provides the exact environment I like for my children to learn. It's a smaller school with a smaller classroom which provides an intimate classroom and family like environment. Greentree provides a top notch education program and my child has learned so much. The students seem to get along well and the school tries to provide fun activities for the students throughout the school year. Since it's a charter school, there are a lot of fundraisers.

After considering many different highly rated schools in the area, we finally chose Greentree for our daughter when she entered Kindergarten. I highly recommend this school. The school is small, family oriented and focused on developing high achievers beyond the standards. My daughter adores her teacher, Mrs Garcia, and loves going to school every day. In addition to providing an advanced curriculum, the children participate in a lot of other fun activities like art, dancing and fitness which balances their academics. We made the right choice picking GTP!!

Love, LOVE our GTP family. My husband and I have been blow away with how much our son as learned this year and how much HE LOVES going to school, especially considering how learning and the regular school experience has drastically changed this year due to Covid. Their accelerated curriculum isnt only effective but FUN! Teachers are great in combining learning with fun activities so students dont get tired or bored. I will most definitely be recommending this school to all our friends and families. Administration is always available to answer any questions and always willing to help.

Excellent. Its unfortunate that this school has received such poor ratings. I am a parent of a 1st grader and we couldn't be happier. Yes the administration cares their school rating but its that a positive? As a parent, I could be concerned if they didn't care about their grade rating. The staff, teachers and administration are helpful and have created a tight knit community. My son loves his school and I highly recommend this school to any parent.

Teachers on their phone during field trips they are careless and kids are constantly fighting to become "the teacher's pet" which apparently in the "thing" among this school. There is preference with the staff children.

The main staff is too focused on having the best school all around that the advanced students are getting outside help because of the pressure to keep up. Do not give the credit to all the teachers. Children are getting outside help to keep up with the façade.

Not good, stay away from the principal, not a people person. They dont care about the students at all. Only to make sure they are "A" school no matter what. They mix the students from different grades...SO bad idea, no body learns. Too many issues.

The school used to be good, but not anymore. Since Greentree was created the school is not good, the few good teachers 2 or 3 are really good, the rest are plain bad. I would not recommend this school, look for another one and avoid the big headaches. You can't reason with management, they will be always right.

My son went here fore Kindergarden! He needed extra help when he started and by the end of Kindergarden he was reading at an above level.. Small classes great community!
