Dont send your kid to this school. Its messy, a very heavy environment. Teachers arent patient to kids that are more agitated, and dont protect from bullying. The director is arrogant, never listen to complains and is very empathetic. Another thing is all staff only speaks Spanish and doesnt understand English, even the kindergarten teacher, that should be teaching English, is teaching with Spanish pronunciation. Its a nightmare!

We are so grateful for Atlantic Montessori Charter School! (not to be mistaken with Atlantic Montessori Academy, which was a daycare). We pulled our oldest daughter from another school because we were unhappy with the education she was receiving, and the difference has been incredible. She has come such a long way since joining, and now our youngest is thriving in kindergarten here as well. It's a wonderful, small, family-oriented school that truly cares about each child's education and growth. I highly recommend AMCS to any parent looking for a supportive and nurturing environment!

My experience as a mother of a child with ADHD has been very good, thanks to the help of the teachers and the staff in general.

My daughters have been here since VPK. I love that it is a small, family-oriented school. There is closeness to contact all the staff when necessary, including the director/owner. There is fluid communication with teachers. Each teacher has been caring and loving. The only bad thing I can say is that I regret that there is no other location for middle school because I would love for my children to continue here.

My child, a gifted child, has attended this school from First Grade. There's no question that the smaller size of the school means resources are going to be more limited vis-a-vis much larger schools when it comes to providing additional enrichment for my child and this is aggravated by the State's pusillanimous approach whereby gifted children access to enrichment courses through FVS is made almost impossible because of how funding for Charter Schools works. Such limitations nonetheless, I don't regret the choice because a smaller school setting has made everything else far better. I'm glad my child is not another brick in the wall of mediocrity that's known as Broward County Public Schools. What we do to overcome the system-imposed deficiencies when it comes to curriculum enrichment is to have our child in all sort of extra-curricular activities at our own cost. This shouldn't be the case and hopefully one day the establishment dinosaurs will lose their grip on the money we all pay for excellent, not mediocre, education and we receive full choice when it comes to what school our children attend. For the parent who whined about her gifted child being discriminated at this school: Grow up. A gifted child can only go as far as the parents so it's time to understand the full scope of our decisions as parents rather than have expectations that ignore the realities of education funding in Florida. Other than that, pay for private school.

We chose this school because it's a relatively small school and didn't want our child in an education factory. The trade-off is that the school has limited resources to fully support learning differences but that should be known and expected when considering the school size. We have used outside resources to bolster our child's education and feel satisfied with what the school is able to provide.

As stated before, we chose this school because we believe charter schools provide a better education experience. Additionally, we like the fact that this is a small school and not a McSchool with hundreds or even thousand plus students. We knew that the relatively small school size meant that our child wouldn't have the resources available at much larger schools but made the school choice knowing we would provide extra-curricular activities to enhance our child's education. Thus far we are very much satisfied with this school.

While it's a Montessori system school, the school must abide by the Broward School Board policies which limits the true effectiveness of the Montessori method. This being said, the school does its best to use homework in an effective manner.

Thus far I'm satisfied with the quality of the teaching staff through the three years my child has attended the school. They have been responsive and seem genuinely concerned with the children's education.
