If I could give a ZERO to this school I would. I worked at this school and had a challenging experience. During my time there, I raised concerns about workplace issues which were of delicate matter that, were not fully addressed.

From what I personally observed in my role, there were times when students did not receive the level of academic support and instruction that I believe they needed to succeed.

Overall, my experience may not reflect everyone’s, but I did not feel supported in addressing concerns. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend this school not for students or teachers.

As an international educator at Victory Charter School I can confidently say this is one of the most rewarding and inspiring teaching environments I’ve had the privilege to be part of. As an A-graded school and an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) institution, Victory is deeply committed to academic excellence and student-centered learning.

What truly sets Victory apart is its strong emphasis on one-to-one student engagement. Teachers are empowered to truly know their students academically, socially, and emotionally. This individualized approach allows us to support each learner’s unique path and foster meaningful growth in and beyond the classroom.

The IB framework encourages students to think critically, inquire deeply, and engage with global issues skills that are increasingly vital in today’s world. As a teacher, it's incredibly fulfilling to watch our students grow into curious, compassionate, and capable young leaders.

Victory Charter School is more than a school...it’s a purpose-driven community where both students and educators thrive. I’m proud to be part of it.

Lack of communication from everyone. Teachers are pulled in different directions, restricting their ability to focus on their students. The CEO and Principal care more about getting an A Grade then making sure their students are happy and successful. Parent involvement is encouraged but then not wanted when you try to talk with anyone. The make promises to students for achieving goals and never hold up to their promises. I am actually happy this school closed abruptly and forced us to find something else.

The CEO of the school has little to no care about his students and cares more about the dollars in his pocket and the school grade. The teachers are either nonexistent, or unable to teach as they are incapable or are being asked to do anything other than their job. They are inconsistent about everything, and treat their students as animals. They don’t allow them to use the restroom, they don’t provide proper lunches, and they fail to provide resources for students in need of anything at all. This is one of the WORST schools in the state and I would not recommend anybody to send their child here.

Victory charter school is what you would consider the shiny apple that’s rotten in its core. Appealing from the outside but the true nature of the school from a students perspective is deplorable. Revolving door faulty and staff. Inadequate teachers who don’t fit the bill. Using federal funding for specialized programs and don’t give the students the attention required to be successful. The administration lies consistently and doesn’t do what they are supposed to do. I would highly recommend if you are even remotely considering placing your child in this school you seek out viable and reputable information from parents themselves. Parents are removing their children in droves because of the many ongoing problems. Don’t take my word for it…. Do your research yourself. I unfortunately am not given the option to place a negative star and am appalled that I even have to give the 1 to post this review.

This was our first year at VCST and our experience has been wonderful. The teachers and staff have been amazing. Whenever we reached out to the staff with questions we received immediate responses. Parents are welcome to be involved and volunteer at the school, which is nice. Students love their teachers and find it fun to learn with them.

Where to begin. My child was able to walk off of campus in the 4th grade. Spent more time in the principles office through some fault of his own but any behavior outside desired child was sent home. Bulling is a huge problem now. They never do the investigations they say they do. Counseling department is a joke. If your child has a 504 or IEP or learns in any why diffidently then the average kid stay as far away as possible your kid will be harassed by the teachers with as little support as possible until you get nasty with them. Everyone knew my sons business because they talk openly in Spanish about the kids in front of other kids. No consistancy in teachers, grades or anything. All announcements made last minute so good luck being able to participate with your child in anything if you work. before they were victory they were ok for a newer school but Victory if more concerned with their IB program then actually teaching the kids and giving the one who need support extra support.

We loved VCS Tampa! My girls were here for four months and we sadly had to move away but the teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable and they learned a lot. The team up front was very responsive and they had some great events to boost kid morale, I will miss my girls' time as Knights!

Victory Charter School Tampa creates an environment of safety and security. Their teachers are trained to provide support for the changing student needs, and most importantly having a school counselor has made a huge impact.

This school lacks teachers 24/7, especially teachers who actually care about the education and well being of the students. I would never recommend this school to anyone especially anyone who cares about their children. Several fights have broken out. Kid get harsh punishments for no or little reason, many kids get little support when in needed times. The school mixes kids that dont belong with each other, like kids with F's and kids with perfect grades. The website allows parents to see a perfect view, but not the bad views. I see kids all around getting bullied and mentally struggling. Grades are unfair especially if a teacher has a specific opinion about you. Many kids that have special needs are put with kids that dont, therefore, there is unfair education and treatment. Teachers invade privacy and even share with other students, and again, they can be extremely harsh and rude. Kids here are reckless with no punishment, but the kids they behave well and do nothing except for the unfair work get punished. One of our favorite teachers, our science teacher, is one of the few teachers that is actually there for us and cares about the problems of our school. Unfortunately, most of our caring and actually responsible teachers either get fired or end up leaving due to school environment and conditions. Students are overloaded and overwhelmed with work, homework, and responsibilities. Victory doesn't care about students needs but cares about how good we look on their website. The bathrooms are always in unscholarly conditions, broken toilets/urinals, flooded bathrooms, writings on walls, sanitary products being stuck on the wall, and broken sinks everywhere. Everywhere there are cameras flashing without permissions.

please do not bring your child here. The education is sub par, it is like a day care rather than quality education. Even with the new management (Avant Garde Academy is switching to victory charter school) it is all still the same thing. They cannot keep teachers, the students are not happy. There is no stem, art class is videos/movies and it is not a true charter school. They pay if you refer students and they enroll, like a business.

Have been a part of this school for 3 years. Teachers always leave, without notice, they cannot keep teachers except for a select few. The curriculum is boring and lazy, they are not a true charter school. They promise programs and approaches but something always happens that falls through and it never happens. Or it doesn’t happen because they lost the teacher. The play ground is like a jail yard, the kids walk in circles and talk. Nothing to play with or do and they keep saying they’ll bring something but never do. Communication is disorganized and something is always happening. The quality of the education is a joke, please do not bring your child to this school.

No backpacks allowed for kindergarten-2nd grade. All the staff is leaving. My kid (middle school) went from having 6 teachers at the beginning of the year, now they have 3. It's a stem school with no stem teacher( since the beginning of of last year). Both music teachers left or are leaving, both P.E teacher left. Half the middle school teacher left. They release kindergarten - 8th grade at the same time. Carline in the morning take 30 mintues just to drop off my kids. All my children friends are leaving or left. A teacher actually told my children the school won't be open next year.(because there will be no teachers and the school is losing money) The lunch is really bad(my kid hate eating lunch there) Also they don't discipline kids. Kids have left the school during hours and went to publix and no discipline was giving. (his mom's a teacher) Kids (5th grader) have been caught smoking/vaping and only got 3 day suspension. At least 3 occasion where there were Fist fights and no suspension, just a "quit fighting be nice" really bad bulling(name calling and pushing) no action taken, my child said the boy would cry daily and nothing was done. I actually hate the school. I feel the teachers try(at least the lower grades) but multiple teacher are having to pick up the slack of the missing teacher. The principal is actually teaching kids because there is no teachers. The orientation was a mess and no organization at all. Nobody knew where the schedules were or where to pick them up at. The school has bugs, my kids say daily you see termites, ants and cockroaches. I believe the school can be fixed by having better leadership and more organized. I understand that the school is new but the problems that they are having are unacceptable.
