Worst experience. My child often expressed that teachers did not teach or yelled when students asked for help or further instruction. Getting contact information for any administrators or staff was impossible, in my opinion contact information for all staff should be available to parents online. When i contacted teachers i would get no response. The school did not exhibit a culture of team work and growth. The school seems to be effective for students heavily pursuing college credits but heavily lacks in the sports department.

I wouldn't recommend this school for families unless you have no other options. The education is a joke, our daughter went an entire year in an AP class without an instructor. Several teachers fired during the year for inappropriate behavior with students. Sad that our kids are left in the hands of such incapable administrators. Communication from the school is horrendous. Most of the teachers act as if coming to work is a chore and it's the last place they'd rather be. They're more interested in what you can donate and provide for them than they are in actually educating our children. They spend the vast majority of the time prepping the kids for testing rather than teaching.

When I say I was happy to get my child out of there is an understatement. That school is a joke. In it's 5th year being open: 4 principals, 3 assistant principals, and a constant revolving door for teachers. I'm hoping the new principal is able to help, but she is going to need a new AP to make that happen. The current AP is a devil's advocate. Nice to your face, but quickly tattle tales to higher ups and will stab a person in the back to make herself look good. As a parent you need someone to talk to, which you think would be the front office. Nope. There has been one main girl, who is not only horrible to us, but to the other office girls. Which is why they have all quit and she is still there. She doesn't want to help anybody. My child says the only reason why she is there is because her daughters are there and this way she can keep an eye on them.
Anyways, as parents we think charter schools are better. They are not. The public high schools all around WCPA ranked higher than this school. Students are limited on electives they can choose and it has taken years just to work up the sports. They don't even have a proper gymnasium. The cafeteria is tiny, students are rushed to eat. The students are crowded onto small classrooms and are over crowded. The fist year my child was there, he told me his art class was so full that several students had to sit on the floor. I reached out to the teacher and she confirmed she had over 40 students in her classroom. Charter schools are all about the money... not your kid.

Despite the name, this school does nothing to prepare children for college. The teachers dont care about students success, they there for a paycheck. I have to pay for tutoring to get t daughter where she needs to be even though she was a straight A student. I switched her out to finish senior year in a public school because they wanted to pad her schedule with fluff classes for a whole year. 3 arts classes, gym and research classes that she completed in 8th grade
