I have first grader at PIA. Our teachers so far have been amazing humans. My son has excelled and has shown phenomenal growth. He reads as well as most adults now, and is happy to get up and go to school each day. The vice principal has even called me to share his good lunch behavior after a few rough weeks at lunch. We feel like he is well-cared for and loved by his teachers and the staff. Even the front office staff know him and lookout for him. My only negative is over-crowding. I am hopeful this will improve next year with the new school opening nearby.

We purchased a home in the area due to what was promised to be a wonderful, A+ rated school zone. After almost 4 years, we made the decision to remove both of our children from public school. We had one child who was bullied relentlessly, and the only support they received from the school was a scholarship to transition to a new school. Why should the child being bullied have to move to a new school to receive the support they need? Our other son was never given the support they were entitled to via their IEP plan. The parents you hear boasting about how wonderful this school is are likely the parents of the bullies. Believe the horror stories. From an education standpoint, teachers are using endless YouTube videos, the principal does not believe in homework and for grades 2-5, our children had 10+ tests and quizzes each week. They dont seek true mastery, they only want you to score high enough to pass a test and if you are unable to, they offer you an additional attempt until you are able to. This school will never change unless administration is completely changed out and parents and their children are held accountable for their actions.

The bullying at this school is unreal. The administrators do not hold any kids accountable.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!
I substituted at this school to observe how it is run, and my experience was extremely disappointing. The school is highly disorganized, underprepared, and lacks clear structure. Assignments are given to students, but many reported that they had never been taught or studied the material before, making it very difficult for meaningful learning to take place.
Teachers and staff often do not take responsibility for mistakes, and there is little accountability or support for substitutes trying to maintain classroom order. Technology and lesson materials are frequently unavailable, and communication is poor, which creates confusion for both students and staff.
Based on my experience, this was the most disorganized and poorly run school I have ever worked in. There are far better options in the district, and I strongly advise parents to consider other schools for their children.

Horrible experience at this school. Had to pull my daughter out because she was being bullied, nothing was done after multiple email to her teacher and administration. She went from being a kid who loved going to school to having panic attacks over school in a span of 3 months.
The nurse has the worst beside manner that Ive seen. I called administration once to discuss my kids anxiety over the nurse, only to be told, yes we know that she doesnt have good bedside manners.
All in all I regret buying a house zoned for this school.
