Im new to the school and they arent welcoming nor delightful, they dont have their ish together, and they get by with their historical name and ranking. The secret is that those who speak up are quieted down and the principal and the school leaders are in cahoots with mistreatment of new staff. Everything is a maze to figure out. Vague, uncertain answers, rude.

its very dangerous. Kids are total disaster punk teenagers school doesnt do anything about bullying. Education is lackluster at best . school offers almost no afterschool curriculum besides football and some random clubs. Trust me if you want a good school this is not it. The buildings are also rundown and just not good

We just moved into the district this year. I usually dont pay attention to reviews but I have to agree with those disgruntled. Teachers are non responsive to emails, yelling at students in classrooms. My son couldnt ask a simple question or he was screamed at. No one seems to care about anything but testing which seems ridiculous if you are going to let students fall behind. Not a good experience.

Our family had an incredible experience with Nease High School, where my daughter recently graduated last year. The school provided a well-rounded education that prepared her not only for college but also for life. My daughters teachers and the administrative staff are truly dedicated and passionate about their roles. They consistently challenged and supported students to excel academically.

The school principal exhibits disgusting behavior. The Deans bully students. One student sadly took her life due to toxic school environment at this school. If you as a parent advocate for your child you will be silenced. Kids are verbally and psychologically mistreated. Dont be fooled by the high scores they let kids retest for higher grades. Teachers quit on a regular basis as well so plan on your student being taught by a long term substitute teacher with no subject matter knowledge. If you do have a student at Nease plan on setting aside money for a lawyer because thats the only way you will be heard.

Out of the 4 years of my student attending there was maybe 2 -3 teachers that were actually teaching. For the most part most of the teachers that stayed employed there during the 4 years followed the same energy as the principal. The teachers that stayed brought their personal problems to school, lashed out on students that did not follow same political views, ridiculed students as if they were in high school themselves and so on.
My student did get accepted into a university after graduation however was told by her counselor her best bet was technical school. This was backed by the principal who also makes suggestions of getting a GED if you are not going to make 4.0. The Marine science teacher is the worst as she does not use any type of rubric to score. She pretty much uses her feelings of if she liked the student. She made many passive aggressive comments to any student that did not fit her mold. Until the current principal moves on and a change in the superintendent who is about the same these schools are only getting the rating due to parent involvement. Their school grades has nothing to do with the school itself.

Staff is nice enough, but students are a nightmare.

Students do nothing but cuss, bully, and/or vape in bathrooms (Ive walked in on smokers before).

This school is compromised of very homophobic people. People came to school wearing Trump 2020 flags in response to the GSA club expressing what they want. They also always say gay as an insult. Students will go out of their way to bully ANYONE WHO IS DIFFERENT IN ANY WAY. They bully nerds, LGBTQIA+, furries (Im one), emos, and the list goes on.

Staff tries to be as inviting as possible; but Ive personally never had trouble with administration, so I cannot confirm nor deny if theyre good. Though they seem like nice enough people in public who just have to actually talk sense into people who do nothing but scream and be extremely annoying.

Overall good staff, nice enough curriculum; though students have been a nightmare. I only recommend this school if the students become better with respecting others and not constantly putting others down for who they are.

Thank goodness The Meadows is now zoned for Tocoi Creek High School.
Nease has the WORST administration starting at the top.

Like other parents stated, the school is overcrowded for its size. The new high school, (Tacoi Creek) will help out with this issue. I agree with others that the coaching staff is horrible (Football). They favor who they want and they participate and accept hazing/bullying.

Garbage school, they might tick some boxes to appear as having great grades but that is only because of the IB program. Four years of this school taught me how racist and homophobic a school can be when they brought in new administration around 2017-2018. If you have the choice to attend ANY other highschool in the district, I would please heed you to do so. They are way over crowded, none of the counselors help at all and arent understanding of first generation college students.

The principal hired a science teacher that had no prior teaching experience. Due to numerous parent complaints about this teacher, she was finally terminated near the end of the first semester, most likely due to constant complaints.

Homework is not overwhelming. I have an honors and an IB student. They both are able to complete their homework in a reasonable time frame.

New to Nease this year with a 9th and 10th grader. So far the academic rigor is great. The teachers are really going out of their way to help their students during the power hour lunch break. They offer tons of clubs and sports so your teens can get plugged into a smaller group and meet others. The email response time from teachers has been amazing! GREAT SCHOOL! Hoping they keep up the good work!

What a terrific school. The academic opportunities are tremendous. They have IB, AVID/STARR, Honors, academies-Comminication, Engineering and the # 1 NJROTC program in the nation. The arts are well represented, Theater, Musicals, Chorus and a award winning Band. Athletics are well represented with every sport. The best part is the student make up. With all the programs in the school, a very diverse population exists. Bullying is not tolerated, everyone is nice, really. Glad to have my children as part of this community.

Just ask the marching band how awesome this school is! Pride of St. John's County in all aspects, not just marching band! IB, Advanced Placement, ROTC, athletics, great academics - it's got it all!

I started to attend Nease halfway through my senior year. I came from a very under privileged High School in GA. It was a HUGE upgrade. Some students complained that it was the "poor" school, but it was far from that (especially since they were driving Mercedes and BMW's). I sadly didn't get to play sports there due to coming in to late. But, I did get to enjoy their amazing art program! It was a great school and I loved all the teachers that I had. Academically I think that it was wonderful, especially for a public school. And even though I was there for a short time period, I made life long friends!

Nease High School is, by far, an A++ school. The teachers are excellent and each level of curriculum is beneficial to all types of students. The kids, just like any other school, are mixed in personalities and "styles," so to speak. Anywhere you go, you get the mix of not-so-great kids with attitudes to match, but in all honesty, Nease has some pretty great kids. Bullying is never tolerated and there is a very low level of fighting/drug/alcohol abuse, if even any at all. Like I said, you get the mix of the good and the bad, though. Deciding between Nease and Ponte Vedra? Definitely choose Nease! After all, who doesnt want to graduate and say they graduated from one of the top 100 schools?
