The reviews on Google have been shut off as many parents in the community are simply done with the antics at MCA. The school district has been informed and no one ever does anything about it. They target select children, the admin is bias, discrimination and bullying are both rampant and the curriculum, in case no one is looking, is sub par at best. This is not what an A-rated school should like. Mill Creek is a C- at best.
We will not be going back.

Our experience at Mill Creek Academy has been extremely positive from day one. As an immigrant family, we were naturally concerned about our childrens transition to a new country, language, and school system but the school exceeded our expectations in every way.
From the administrative team to the teachers, we felt genuine care, professionalism, and sensitivity throughout the entire adaptation process. The support our children received was not only academic, but also emotional, which made a huge difference for our family. Communication was always clear, respectful, and reassuring.
The academic quality of the school is evident, and the teachers truly care about each students individual growth and well-being. Our children felt welcomed, safe, and motivated to learn, which gave us great peace of mind as parents.
We are deeply grateful to Mill Creek Academy for the support, inclusion, and positive environment they have provided for our children. It is a school that truly values its students and the families it serves.
We highly recommend Mill Creek Academy.

This school has deteriorated at an alarming rate. The principal is virtually nonexistent, the quality of teaching has dropped significantly, and classroom management is so poor that bullying is now rampant. The environment is chaotic, with disruptive behavior going unchecked and no meaningful leadership to address it. The school appears to rely solely on the countys high socioeconomic reputation to mask its internal failures. High test scores are driven by dedicated parents, not by the school, allowing the district to remain unaware of the deep problems happening here. Students are not treated equally; some are unfairly targeted while others face absolutely no accountability.

We currently have a 2nd and a 5th grader who have both attended MCA since kindergarten. Weve been so fortunate that our children have had nothing but positive experiences with our school.
The dedicated staff genuinely cares about each child's individual needs. They foster a love for learning through engaging and innovative teaching methods, making education both fun and impactful. My children have thrived academically and socially, thanks to the supportive atmosphere and strong sense of community.
Additionally, the school offers a variety of extracurricular activities that enrich the students' experience and encourage them to explore their interests. I appreciate the emphasis on character development, as my children are learning the values of respect, responsibility, and teamwork.
Overall, MCA has exceeded our expectations, and I feel fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school community. I highly recommend it to any parents looking for a positive educational experience for their children!

We've had children in Mill Creek Academy (former Mill Creek Elementary) since 2015. It has been a great experience with dedicated teachers and top tier administration.

This school needs some serious improvement in the ESE department. In comparison to other schools in the area, this school is inferior in supporting students with individual needs.

My daughter is both gifted and dyslexic plus needs help with speech. I genuinely panicked when the diagnosis was given. Mill Creek has risen to the challenge and we are incredibly blessed to have such a great staff. The interventions were amazing. She's gone from barely reading to Straight A student. When I look back now the worst part of the diagnosis was the substantial co-pay.

When they say ZERO tolerance they mean it.

We've been at this school 7 years, also we currently have Kindergartner, and it's been a very positive experience. Our kids are getting a great education. Especially our dyslexic one who's needed allot of interventions that thankfully have been exceptionally successful!

We've been in this school from Pre-K to Middle School and although it varies by teacher overall I think the homework amounts and types have been appropriate per grade and child.
Posted: November 16, 2019
Overall the majority are great teachers. There is one that's obviously burnt out however she was the exception. The others my 3 children have been exceptional.

They are doing a great job influencing the next generation to be both civic minded and empathetic citizens and leaders.

The current elementary Principal has always been responsive to our families needs as well as warm to the children. They look up to her. The new middle school Dean is a great role model and also responsive when we needed a class changed.

If your child is a student that can just "Sit and get," then this is a great school, unfortunately for us, our child is not so the experience as been an uphill battle.

School Leaders will present themselves as supportive, but when it really comes to the best interest of your child the leadership team isn't concerned. Students require different learning styles, leadership needs to recognize that. It is shocking that teachers print random worksheets and call that "Curriculum."

I don't know how to rate this school. We have so many people who hate for no reason at all or for reasons that don't make sense. Like the color of our skin.

Principal,Teachers, staff and other students are rude and prejudice.
Posted: October 18, 2018
Integrity, compassion and respect... That's a joke here at Mill Creek.
Posted: October 18, 2018
Leadership leads by example the principal and teachers are rude and prejudice and it shows by their leadership because the students demonstrate what they are learning either in school or at home, and it is acted out in school.

That diffidently did not happen with my student who struggled with Math for 2 years, with no extra help or advise to Mom what she could do.
Posted: October 18, 2018
That is no a true statement for this school. Well it depends on who is doing the bullying. One black kid vs the school, you do the math and tell me who was doing the bullying. No let me tell you the principal, teachers and students.

Mill Creek is an awesome school. The principal that has been there for around 6 years has made such a difference. She is so caring and somehow not only knows all of the students by name but is aware of there needs and journey. The teachers my kids have experienced have been top notch and help my children grow not only in academics but their character as well. We love Mill Creek!

We have had to move around a lot due to my husband's work. My daughter has attended three other schools. Mill Creek is really lacking in quality teachers mostly due to the teachers having a terrible attitude toward the students and lack of enthusiasm with their jobs.

Posted: May 10, 2016
The teachers role model negative attitudes and rude behavior toward their students. If a child has a question, the teachers respond with a frustrated rude answer and convey an attitude that they do not care about the students or their jobs.
Posted: May 10, 2016
The teachers are very negative, rude, and sarcastic to students. Teachers appear burned out and have very negative attitudes. This negativity greatly impacts the dynamics inside the classroom. Teachers punish the whole classroom for behavioral problems of a few children. Communication between staff and parents is almost nonexistent.

My daughter is in 1st grade here and I can't wait to get her out. We moved into this area for the "great" schools, but have been very disappointed. Your child does not get any attention unless they act out and have disciplinary issues. My daughter is in a class where children swear, run around and act very poorly. My daughter comes home in tears way too often. She does not receive the academic attention that she needs because of the issues within the classroom. Recently she had an incident where she and another student bumped into each other on the playground. I was not called by the school nurse. My daughter developed an abscess in her mouth from the incident. We will be moving her to a private school for 2nd grade.

Great school, great teachers! Very glad with the school. Keep the good work! Also like the new system for drop off.

My three children have all attended Mill Creek. We've had a great experience. The new principal who came to the school in 2011 is fabulous. I have seen improvements in my children's academic skills, and their teachers have always had an open door policy. The Pre-K program is great. I can't believe how much my 4-year-old is doing!
