The principal has no control over bullying my daughter was bullied for 3 years on and off I had to call the school bored because the principal doesn't suspended the children or anything my daughter got bullied by an older child at lunch multiple time and spit on at lunch by a older child at lunch ,which leads me to wonder where are the teacher in the cafeteria and what are they doing? The principal will stop answering your calls when bulliny becomes and issues so ve prepared to call the school bored like I did .the traffic is dangerous in that school you can wait an hour near the gate to pick ur child up and parent will park on the grass to cut you off it take an hour to pick up ur child and ur battling parents who keeps trying to cut you off and cuss you our because their no police out their their are cars who will speed around you in the school zone and the amount of time I have almost seen a child get hit is extremely crazy I have begged for the school to have police out their directing the traffic for children and are safety but she doesn't .I have had to call the police a couple of time because the dangerous traffic and the disgusting parents who keeps trying to cut people off to pick up their child and refuse to wait like the rest of the people who goes in line early.

Students are given homework without explanation and don't know what to do, as if they weren't explained the directions. It's also, from what I was told, not part if their actual grade.

Some teachers dress unprofessionally and they don't help the kids that need more help in certain subjects. They also don't take necessary disciplinary actions to bullying.

Most of the students seem to not have any respect or compassion at all.

Leadership in this school only seems to care about themselves, are very disrespectful all around, and don't do as promised. They seem to not care about the bullying going on in their school. No one phones home when our kids are hurt by other students.

My children both needed more help in certain subjects and neither were helped appropriately or effectively.

My children have been bullied for 3 years straight in this school, even after multiple conferences. They don't discipline the students that are the subjects of bullying. Conferences are usually avoided by the staff. They don't take any action to bullying.

Absolutely horrible. This school doesn't care about the students and turn their heads to the bullying and racism that goes on and don't give any consequences. Students aren't given proper education in this school and aren't taught correctly. Students that need more guidance are left behind and end up failing as a result. All around, this school is a disgrace.

Awful. From poorly spoken teachers, to lack of action when students are being bullied. Just an all around terrible school. Cesspool of the worst Volusia County has to offer. A feeder school for the correctional system. Apply for a variance now and save yourself and your children a lot of stress. They received a C last year.

Some teachers are great others are inexperienced. Alot of teachers left when the New principal started this year.

It allows its students to be Physically harmed! With no discipline but maybe a suspension . only to return with the same actions.

This School is Disgraceful!
The Principal an Asst Principal are Very much in the Wrong positions in life. They allow students to get bullied with no real consequences. There lack of education an Qualities Trwd running a school are a joke an Pitiful! The only Good in Palm Terrace is some teachers, a few Faculty an there Resource officer is genuinely caring an a Good Officer for DB . Otherwise the ones un charge are running this school into the ground. When you allow boys to slap,kick,choke , etc to Girls, bruise them make them hate school because of bullying you deserve charges put on yourself for failure to protect the children you took an Oath to protect!

My child attended this school for Pre K, as well as kindergarten, and I can honestly say we had a wonderful experience. We moved out of the zone this summer, but we would have stayed if it was closer. The office staff is amazing, and the teachers all seem to truly care about the children excelling. The school itself was quite clean, and administration had a great handle on everything from my perspective.

This was our first year attending this school. Our kids have excelled! Their teachers have been nothing but amazing. The office staff is super helpful and kind. Palm Terrace is truly a diamond in the rough.

My step daughter went there and she did excellent. my son has been there for four years and is doing well. All his teachers have helped him greatly. I appreciate their effort in helping my son. I stay in touch with them and let me know how he's doing. They have a good structure and a positive atmosphere. I like the dolphin dollars. The kids earn in class and get to spend them in the dolphin dollar store. My son has come home so happy because was able to buy something in the store. I like the staff and I'm glad my son goes there.
