My son has been being bullied by his classmates and his teacher. His teacher can write me due to classroom parties but not concerns regarding my son. Now he is getting accidentally cut by students with scissors and the principal stated she had to explain to the teacher how a child should hold scissors. This school is horrible.

When I listened to the students that were gathered around the table I felt that there was integrity respect and compassion. He seem to listen to each other and that is good

I just felt as I worked in the video department that they were leaders and the people that came in as teachers etc. were also leaders.

We need to do whatever we can to get their grades up to get them leaving in themselves so that they can enter society as a young adult with a lot of opportunitiesI can only agree since I did not see Students Being bullied. But I didnt see the ladies keep the students being respectful of each other

I was very very impressed with the school. I feel like they need more support in the community with money to help. I see a need for a lot of money to be put towards the school as this age to me is the age where we need to begin our change. We need to do whatever we can to get their grades up to get them leaving in themselves so that they can enter society as a young adult with a lot of opportunities

I have never seen such polite well mannered students. It says a lot for the school the teachers and principal and everyone involved. There seems to be a respect for the teachers and everyone like me who comes into the building. I believe everyone learns from watching another person. Your school teachers seem to give respect to each other and to their students. People given respect will Keep trying to do better and thats all we can ask anyone. Keep giving them the respect they need the encouragement that they need and they will start to do better.

They change rules and releasetimes without notifying parents. They allowed my then 1sr grader to be bullied over 3/4 of the school year despite my husband and I going up there multiple times.

My kids are in their second year here. I am scoring this school so high because the experience I have had so far has been outstanding with the new leadership. My children are very intelligent and they have blossomed in this school. I like the recent discipline. The only thing I do not like is that it is an elementary and middle school combined. They do the best they can with that but it's through no fault of their own. Volusia county school district just doesn't realize the complications that arise from having kids that are as big as men and kids that are as small as toddlers on one campus.

Terrible. This school is so disorganized! Bullying and harassment go on without punishment. The grading system is a joke. The principal doesn't ever show her face unless there is a camera in it. She is worthless. This school district tests kids to the weakest link and praises children for complete laziness. My husband and I, before moving into the district, saw the overall rating for this school and thought it couldn't possibly be that bad. We figured at least the high school isn't in this district, and that's what matters, right? Wrong! Never been more wrong in our lives! This school is setting kids up for failure. It's extremely sad and disgusting. I have never in my life been so appalled by a school! We moved into this district know Florida has the lowest rated schools in the country, but this is beyond ridiculous! My kids will be home schooled after only attend Holly Hill schools for one year. They will NEVER attend this school again. Very disappointed.

I wouldn't let my worst night mare go to this school, as a student I say I can not wait to get out of this school next year I have been here since kindergarten and I have had good years and I have had my bad years....not all the teachers are bad but most of them are

Terrible school. Fights between students on a daily basis to the extent that a brigade of police must patrol this school. Terrible curriculum. Teaching is done below grade level because most students in the area come from poverty stricken homes with parents more focused on street smarts rather than education. Do not send your kids to this school

My Grandson has done well at Holly Hill. Of course my being the parental guide in his education will always want more for him. He changed from Tomoka Elementary to Holly Hill in mid session and thanks to Mrs. Dixon and his speech teacher the transfer was easy and he adapted well to the change. My thanks to both of them.
