The size of this school is one of the reasons we chose it.
Although there are some good teachers who genuinely care about their students, the academics seriously lack.
My child was not prepared for Bishop Kenny. If you are not Catholic your child is much better off at any of the public schools in the neighborhood. I subbed at several and the curriculum was much more challenging. If you want a Catholic education, I would strongly consider Assumption over St. Pauls.

Wow! Please be aware that it is so easy for any person with an ax to grind to troll these reviews anonymously (or to stuff good reviews in the same fashion). If you're interested in any school, please visit. I've now had two children graduate from St. Paul's, will have more, and could not be more pleased. The academics are excellent, and they have the statistics to prove it across the board. I know, because I've asked to see them. And my gosh, they are so far above the Duval schools it's not even funny! We had a couple students from very expensive private schools transfer into my children grades that had a lot of catching up to do. The teachers are nurturing without being pushovers, attentive to individual needs, and the school leadership is superb. They've done a great job during this COVID year keeping the kids safe. The small school atmosphere is perfect for my children. We feel so fortunate to be here.

Teachers teach in one way. They attempt to provided interventions, but it is just teaching the same way in a small group. They are not equipt to teach to students with learning differences.

This school is average and works for students to fit in their "box". Teachers are average. The catholic school standards are below public school standards. They do not communicate student testing or progress well. The focus of this school is religion and character building, not rigorous academics.

A lot of homework is assigned to students in younger grades. Teacher also notes many skills that need to be worked on at home. Tests are focused on memorization.

We have not had any GREAT teachers in our 4 years here. All teachers have been average.

Mrs. Repper is friendly and attempts to gain friendships with parents to keep them happy. She is not able to answer the hard questions about her school. She wants parental involvement for fundraising but not in education.

Love this school! Especially the art teacher! My kids love going to her class! It's a small school but they still manage to have all the after school sports available to the students. My kids play three each year, and they have been playing together for years.

The students and all of the staff members expect honesty and respect from all of the students. To respect themselves and their piers as well. They always work with the students and parents if problems arrive and have a very good discipline plan in place. They have expectations of each of the students at the school, and they ,the students, respond well to the people who have faith in them.

If your child is an angel - go for it by all means. If not, expect misguided observations and overreactions that can make problems worse. The new teachers are not very nurturing and Father Sal is very detached from school matters. The principal doesn't impress me with her leadership. On the plus side, the students and community are great which is the only reason I didn't rate it Terrible.

St. Paul's is a great school! I couldn't be more pleased with the principal, the priest and the curriculum. However, some of the new, young teachers are not as nurturing and/or patient as I think they should be.

This is our first year at St. Paul's Catholic School in Riverside. We absolutely love the people, who are very warm and welcoming. As non Catholics we are embraced and part of the St. Paul's family. The academics are rigorous yet not overbearing for my child. Enabling their love of going to school each day and allowing them to look forward to the new ideas and subject matter the teachers are providing. As a small school, there are few behavioral disturbances which can enable my child to focus on their studies and the joy of learning. St. Paul's is a wonderful school for your child.

We liked St.Paul's very much our first year. The elementary teachers were warm and nurturing. The newly hired teachers are right out of college with little teaching experience.

this is a great school. My son came home today and told me that a Doctor came to his school to talk to them. He taught my son that doctors save lives. they help people get healthy. Now he wants to be a doctor to. That is a great influence on my son's education. I appreciate the school for community week. The teachers are great. In a short time everyone knew my son. I highly recommend that school.

We can't say enough about this school, its teachers, the priest, the principle, and the children that attend!!! Just love it. We have 3 children there and know everyday when we drop them off and pick them up it is the best place around! This is what it is all about-caring, attentive teachers/staff, mutual respect among the children, and great parent involvement! A true community.

Came across this website and felt obligated to rave about St. Paul's. We've got two recent graduates that thrived there. Their experience here set them up for success in high school and now college. I loved the way they transitioned students from lower grades to greater responsibility as they moved up. Class sizes are small, great opportunities to participate in all sports and extracurriculars, dedicated teachers that know you and truly care for the student. The current leadership is professional and no-nonsense. The ability to incorporate faith in Christ into everyday practice is a wonderful asset for a school. We feel very fortunate that our children were able to attend such a great school. If you are considering a private Christian education for your child, you really out to consider St. Paul's.

Thank God for St. Paul's. The small classes and the charming school fit our family perfectly. The combination of the principal and new pastor can mean great things in our future!

I love St. Paul's Riverside. This is our 3rd year here and we couldn't be happier. We love the small class sizes and the teachers genuinely care about the student s education and well being. St. Paul's really is a family where everyone knows your name. If you are looking for a school where you and your family matter, please consider St. Paul's. They have so much to offer, clubs, sports, after school programs, and even free tutoring.

Teachers are top notch but not a fan of the new administration at the school. New principal seems more out to make herself stand out then she really cares about the kids or staff and the priest is unfriendly and not involved. Disappointed with the changes throughout the school and plan to move my children next year.

My children have thrived since they started school at St. Paul's. The VPK program and Kindergarten teachers are wonderful. Mrs. Leskanic is greatly missed. My only poor comment is I think Father could be more involved with the students.

St. Paul s is a great school with a great staff. The teachers are top notch. I feel that both of my children are benefitting from their time at St. Paul s.

My son started Pre-K her this year and I could not be happier. He's enrolled for next year and he can't wait. You can not beat the VPK program they have. It is not a day care! These kids are really learning in a academic environment by real teachers. They have resources like Music, Art, Computers & PE and weekly mass. If you are looking for a VPK program please consider St. Paul's, you will not be disappointed.

My kids have flourished at St. Paul's! It is truly a great school that molds the whole child. Kids are taught great study skills, how to be independent thinkers and responsible citizens. Students are given a strong foundation for high school - the middle school teachers are incredible!
