In a world where education continues to have extreme challenges, we could not be any more grateful than to have found Christ the King. They are a mission-driven, excellent school that educates the whole child - academically, emotionally and spiritually. The dedication of the faculty and staff constantly amazes us. While other schools are struggling, CKS continues to look for ways to constantly improve - even though they are at the top! They are true professionals with amazing talent and experience who understand how to help kids be successful - not just academically, but as human beings. What a gift for our family!

We have been disappointed with the school. The after-school program is a mess and is often staffed by unqualified staff with no background experience or training in working with Children. The school has not had a school counselor for years, so there is no one to offer confidential socio-emotional support for the students. Some classes, like the second grade, are large with over 20 students and need more consistent help. The class teacher appears overwhelmed, and only Lord knows the impact of the revolving door of assistants on our children. The second grade is on its fourth or fifth teaching assistant. The school could better communicate concerns to parents and involve all parents in finding solutions to improve our children's experience in the school.

I have been a CKS parent for over 18 years and it's been a wonderful experience for all 3 of my kids. My older two were very prepared for high school when they left CKS and over the years, there has been continual improvement academically and leadership is constantly looking to improve all aspects even though it is great already. Music, art, STEM, physical education, computers and religion is a part of the curriculum on a regular basis and there are many other optional after-school activities including competitive sports in 5th -8th grade. The faith-filled, high parent involvement environment is 2nd to none. I'm so thankful that we chose to make the sacrifice and send our 3 kids to CKS.

Christ the King Catholic School is the best decision we have ever made. As a military family, you never really know what kind of school you will end up in. God answered our prayers when we enrolled at CKS. I am a mother of 3 children. 2 of my kids have graduated from CKS and have moved on to a Catholic school in the community. Not only were they academically ready for that next step but also emotionally and spiritually. They developed study habits that easily transferred to the high school level. They often talk about how much they miss the close knit family of CKS. I have 1 more child at CKS who is in middle school and leaves for class everyday with a smile on his face. Thank you CKS teachers for bringing joy, love, respect and responsibility to my children. They are better ambassadors of Christ because of their experiences at Christ the King.

Our family is proud to be a CKS family! As a mom, I've been so grateful that when I take my children to school every day, we all feel like we're going to our "other family" and have always been welcomed by students, parents, and teachers at CKS. Not only are they challenged academically, but they are growing in their Catholic faith and have really adopted a heart for service. We are so encouraged that our children realize they are part of a bigger community and bigger world and need to be concerned for others around them and not just themselves.  We know we made the right choice for our children's education because they love going to school every day. We're confident that our children will leave CKS with a strong foundation of academics, faith, service and community.

Review the policy and get to know the students and parents when taking the tour.

It was a very disappointing experience for our family.

A lot of busy work seems to get assigned at CKS. It may or may not help the students learn. I tend to agree that it can cause kids in the early years to get discouraged and give up on school before they have a chance to learn the basics. I think an emphasis on classroom control and reading is more important.

My family feels very blessed to be part of the CKS family! This is a wonderful school. We have been attending Christ the King for the past two school years, and my children have all grown academically and spiritually. Having spent a couple of years in the public school system, I can tell you, there is no comparison. I feel so strongly that when my children graduate 8th grade, they will be far more advanced and prepared for high school and college than if they would have remained in public school. It is definitely a sacrifice to pay tuition, and absolutely worthwhile to provide a strong educational foundation for our children. What's even more important is that Christ the King is centered and focused on our Catholic tradition, love for God and service to others.

Fantastic in every way! I have witnessed first hand the love and commitment the faculty and staff have for the children at Christ the King. The team of impressive educators work diligently to provide students with an appropriately challenging curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment. My children are encouraged to be their best each and every day--academically, spiritually, and socially. The parental involvement is truly amazing. The facilities and equipment are modern and top-notch! My children are exposed to state-of-the-art technology on a daily basis. CKS has a wide variety of extracurricular and after-school activities and programs....robotics club, chess club, you name it! As a military family new to the Tampa area, our entire family has been welcomed into the CKS family with open arms! Christ the King School is a true gem!

I am so happy with how well organized and academically sound Christ the King School is! The faculty and administration are dedicated to the academic development and faith formation of every student. The teachers work together to plan interdisciplinary, creative lesson plans and all of their lesson planning is transparent and consistent between classes of the same grade. CKS has an independent curriculum with the support of the diocese in with a beautiful facility and campus to educate our children. The environment is loving and nurturing with good structure and discipline. CKS is one of South Tampa's gems.

CKS is a stand-alone school based on test scores, environment and tuition. Our family has been a part of CKS for 8 years. Numerous changes have occurred during that time and the school has transformed from good to exceptional. The test scores and high school entrance exams prove it academically, and well rounded teenagers move seamlessly on to high school. CKS and it's community have been a wonderful fit for our entire family. I particularly appreciate that parent involvement is strongly encouraged, as much as you are willing to give. I have first-hand knowledge of the day-to-day environment, not second hand information. CKS is a nurturing environment and I was truly surprised at the less than positive reviews I read. My children have been happy students. My middle schooler, who studies and prepares independently, actually said he feels a sense of accomplishment managing and mastering his challenging course load. The faculty and staff prepared him well. My husband and I are truly thankful of the friends and families at CKS- we've never had concern they would be exposed to something our family would find unacceptable.

Christ the King has far exceeded all of my expectations as the parent of two children attending the school. The students are challenged academically, but also taught in an extremely nutrturing environment. Graduating students are accepted to the premier secondary schools at an extremely high rate and the students are better prepared than their peers for the rigors of high school and college. The school does an execellent job of providing an integrated curriculum that meets both scholastic and spiritual needs of my children. I would highly recomment Christ the King for any parent looking for superior academics provided in a faith based setting.

Not-at-all impressed. Disappointed. I don't understand the family support influence. I see no support. Staff seems OK, but, again, just not impressed.

Aside from the fact that this school lacks socioeconomic or ethnic diversity, it is widely known for its bullying problems. If your child is slightly different, they will be picked on. I caution anyone considering CKS to look beyond the "Blue Ribbon" and ask around. I wish we had.

Great school for us! We are a military family who spent 4 years here. Our children loved it and the education was outstanding!!

Absolutely phenomenal school. I could not be happier with my children's development. All of the children in our neighborhood go to private schools ranging from most expensive to those percieved to have the best academics. My children are more advanced and are working the same skill-sets as children in the other schools who are in one grade higher. Teachers are amazing and families incredibly supportive. I would not transfer my children even if offered free tuition at any other private school in South Tampa.
